Falling For My Brothers Best Friend

You think I look a state?!!

This is only a little filler chapter. Will probably only turn out to be one page long so you lot know whats what....

It actually turned out okay. When Alex and Lily came over, I went and had a shower whilst Alex and Lily cleaned up downstairs and put out food and the 'WELCOME HOME!' banner above the fireplace. It looked great and was Joe half past five. Everyone had turned up and some with their other halfs. Mum and Dad had invited some older people too.

I had cleaned up quite nicely too. I ditched the dress that I bought in town and I instead went for a floor length floral dress. The sun had decided to show it face for once and I decided to show my face, in a different dress. Lily looked amazing in her little red number and Alex didn't look to bad in his dark jeans and shirt either.

I had set someone on look out duty to tell me when Jake was coming back to the house. I had rung him to ask if he wanted me or mum to pick him up from the airport but he said that he'd already got a ride back. As far as I know, no one had told him that I had planned any of this which is good.

I was sat in the front room next to a few others and forgot that I hadn't told Lily something. I jumped up from the sofa and went to find Lily who was probably in the bathroom upstairs checking her hair and make-up. I picked up the end of my dress and made my way upstairs to find Lily.

I opened the bathroom door to find two people stradling each on the toilet seat. Their eyes quickly flicked up towards me and I mouthed sorry to them before turning round and shutting the door behind me. I'm guessing wrong bathroom. I walked down the hallway to the other bathroom and pushed open the door to see Lily stood in front of the mirror applyin a little more make-up and adjusting her hair piece.

"I knew I'd find you in here, or in one of the bathrooms anyway," I said smiling. She looked up at me through the mirror and went back to sorting out her hair. Even though she looked fine.

"I have to look good for when Jake comes home, I don't want him to think I've been living like a tramp or something," she replied and applied her lipgloss a little more.

"You look amazing and Jake doesn't care if you add a little more mascara onto your lashes, he'll be greatly flattered of course but he loves you in whatever state you look," I reassured her as she stopped to look at me.

"You think I look a state?!! Urgghhh!!!" she groaned and I sighed.

"Is that really the only thing you got out of what I said?" I asked her back. She looked back up and stopped arranging her hair and make-up.

"Sorry, I'm just excited about seeing him and worried that he won't like me anymore or that he would go back to that skank Ella," she said as she shuddered slightly at the thought of Jake going back to Ella. I shaked a little at that thought too.

"He loves you Lil! Always remember that! And anyway I have something to tell you!" I replied to her ridiculos thought. I grabbed her by the hand and dragged her out of the bathroom away from the mirror. I pulled her through the little crowds of people on the landing and stopped when we got to my room. Openin the door I flicked on the light to see a couple sat on my window sil making out.

"Out!" I shouted towards them. They turned their heads up to see us and as they recognise me, they grabbed their jackets and scurried away out of my room and shut the door behind them. I held onto Lily's wrist until we were both sat comfortably on the end of my bed.

"So, when you left on Sunday, Seth came round to the house," I muttered to her. Her eyes widened a little and her mouth opened a little too.

"Oh my god, what did he want?" she asked quickly. I bowed my head down a little, remembering what had happened.

"He wanted to talk to me about some stuff," I replied now fiddling with my fingers, trying to forget about what happened on Sunday and how I felt after it happened.

"And you told him to go stick his crap where the sun don't shine right?" she asked again hoping that she was right. I went all silent then for a bit and she took that as a no to her question and sighed.

"I don't know okay, I don't know why I let him in, I don't know why I talked to him afterwards and I don't know why I responded the way I did after we talked. Damn, I'm more confused than a cow on astro-turf," I admitted.

"What. Did. You. Do.?" she replied spacing out the words. I knew that she was being serious now and I kinda started thinking this was a bad idea to tell her.

"Well, I told him to leave and I stood up to go and open the door myself, but he caught my wrist and pulled me back. And then we sorta, made out..." I whispered the last part just in case anyone was stood outside the door and in hearing distance.

"Why, Why, WHY?!?!" she slightly shouted to me whilst throwing her hands in the air out of frustration. I lifted my head up fully to look at her. Confusion spread across her face.

"I don't know, it was just... Well it was just so good. It was like I had missed him and longed for his lips on mine. It was a moment of weakness," I tried to explain to her but she still looked a little weirded out by this news.

"What about Alex? You guys have been going so good lately, why would you want to screw that up?" she asked, making that like the millionth question today. There had been others earlier too about me being MIA for a couple of days.

"I dunno! I wasn't thinking straight and my head was all over the place, plus, I had drank coke and vodka before hand so it was out of my control?" I said making that sound like more of a question than anything else.

"Okay, don't panic! Don't tell Alex, okay, just act like nothing happened between you and Seth and it'll all turn out okay," she assured me.

"Thanks Lil, I just really needed to get that of my chest and to tell somebody," I told her.

"No problem, and I'm here for you no matter what happens," she smiled at me and gave me a big hug.

"Let's go and pretend that nothing happened," I replied and her nodding at my response. Suddenly someone burst through the door, huffing and puffing and her face was bright red. I looked a little closer to see that it was Susie who I had set on Jake look out duty.

"Jake... Car... Outside... Now... Hide," she yelled the last little bit and saying each individual word between breaths. I nodded towards her and she went off to tell everybody else.

"Come on, Let's go see big bro," I said grabbing Lilys hand and making our ways down the stairs to hide.
