I pulled up at my own house to see Alex’s car already in the drive way, of course. I made my way into the house and entered into the living room to see Lily, Jake and of course Alex.
“Oh my god, are you okay?”
“We were worried sick!”
“Where have you been?”
“Why didn’t you call?”
“Where’s your phone?”
“Are you okay?”
“Are you hurt?”
All of these questions were thrown at me at once, but all from Lily and Jake and none from Alex.
“Can I just speak to Alex alone please?” I asked quietly. They both nodded their heads and swiftly left the room.
“Hey, we need to talk,” I said first of all.
“Oh right,” he said as he sat down. He seemed somehow unfazed at the words I had said, but never the less, he sat and listened. This was a first by any standard.
“I’ve been thinking,”
“Right,” he interrupted.
“It’s about us, and I think that we need,”
“What?” he interrupted again.
“Let me finish,” I asked.
“Right, go on,”
