Chapter 10:

Tyler's POV

I LOOKED DEEP INTO THE EYES OF THE LOVE of my life and smiled to him, half way at least. I was going to have to lie to him like Payne said. Of course the lie wasn't going to make it long, I needed to blend some of the turn into the story. But what? Veronica opened her mouth to speak but I beat her to start, by saying, "every thirty-four years there is someone in both of your families that...that have the duty to save the world. Every thirty four years, Earth becomes aligned with Saturn, opening up a passage way to a place called Skytown. I know this because my father is Paulo Pliego, a friend of someone who has a similar fate as you two do." I replied, watching Veronica rise a brow.
"What fate?" asked Elena. I gulped, I had to blend the truth with a lie, but how?
"The two of your bloodline die, every thirty four years, someone in your family will die."
"So, Elena and I are going to die. How relaxing." said Sidmin, sitting down with his hand on his head.
"No, not this time my love. You two will live this time. My only job on this Earth is to protect you two, you more than Elena."
        "Why?" asked Sidmin.
"Because, well, I um. I am a-" Footsteps above the basement shattered our hushed voices as I watched hunters phase through the floor. I guarded my true love and Elena from them as a small girl stepped towards us. She reached her hand out to Elena. Elena stepped up and touched her hand and she said, "you're that little girl from the woods. How did you and your scary friends get here?"
"You aren't normal. You took away her blindness, and you took away her curse. Is that your gift?" asked a red headed girl, one all to familiar to me. Her name was Starlet. Starlet and I used to be best friends until we found out that are kinds despised each other, and she never talked to me again. The last I had seen of her was probably fourteen years ago. She eyed me down and didn't say a word to me. I knew that she had feelings for me a while back, but I was happy with the one I had now. I was happy with my baby, Sidmin. Sidmin laid his head on my back and a tingle of pleasure sparked my spine, making me want to just get inside of him right then and there, but I was stopped by Elena's words.
"Why is everything in this town such a big secret?! I don't have any gifts, it's not Christmas. I just found out that I'm supposed to save the world from some type of council and now every dog I see wants to kill me??! I think this is more of a curse than a gift sweety." said Elena.
"My mother, back in 1981, she was blind like my little sister. My mom said a woman touched her, and her sight was regained and her curse was broken. She said she tried to thank the woman but the woman ran away so quickly. She had also accidentally cut the woman on the back of her right thigh with a knife before she was healed because she thought it was a werewolf."
"So my mom cured your mom." asked Elena as a statement.
"Yes, and you just cured her daughter, Arie." Elena looked to the girl as she ran into her arms, crying, happy that she was finally able to see again. Elena stayed frozen as the girl hugged her, like something was happening.

Elena's POV

THE WIND BLEW HARSHLY AS I LOOKED OVER THE CLOUDED atmosphere, standing on a temple of some sort. The floor below me had a weird shaped pattern on it. There was a triangle with a moon cut through it, and an eye hanging from the moon. The eyebrows of the moon looked delicate and fragile and then I turned to see a woman standing tall with long dark brown hair. "You a have to break it." she said, walking towards me.
"Break what?" I asked, squinting my eyes as the woman began to flow brighter and brighter.
        "Your soul bond."
I snapped out of my vision and looked down to the little girl curled up in my arms. I hugged her back and then stood up and asked, "why are all of you down here?"
"The werewolves are taking over the town, their council is here. We had to hide somehow and somewhere. I figured we could just come where you were since you and your friend took down the entire pack in this town." said Starlet. "Those giant dogs you saw aren't just dogs, they are also humans. Those killers are bent over what happened in 1981 and will not stop until justice is down, they think we hunters had something to do with it."
         "Did you?" asked Sidmin.
"I wish we did and I wish we would've done it sooner, then maybe my mother would still be alive." Veronica stepped back beside Tyler and gave him a look, it looked like a look of unsureness. I looked back to them and grabbed Sidmin. He went around the corner with me and I said, "I need you to come with me. We need to find Ashton, I have to make sure he is safe." Sidmin looked at me shocked, but he knew that I somewhat cared about that kid, strangely. There was just something about him that I just didn't want to leave behind and if something bad ever happened to him, I think I would've killed myself. Sidmin and I put on our jackets and then I grabbed my cell phone, calling Ashton. I waited for him to pick up the phone but, it never happened. I ran to the front door to be stopped by Tyler.
"What the hell are you doing!?" he asked us.
"We are going to find Ashton," said Sidmin and I.
        "I don't think that's a good idea."
"Well if I needed your thoughts I'd ask for them."
Sidmin and I walked outside into the now foggy atmosphere and I stopped in my tracks. There had to be some way to find Ashton, I just needed to think. I raised my hands and a small orange light lit in front of us and began leading us on a path. It was leading us to Ashton.
"Where are you going?" asked Sidmin.
         "Following my instincts."

Ashton's POV

THE COUNCIL OF LUNA HAD JUST ARRIVED AT THE OLD Jenson's House. The house was rumored to be haunted but, none of us wolves bought that crap. My dad and I waled into the house to meet the council, consisting of four people. A woman named Cher, she was the most calm of them all, but still demanded respect. She had bright blonde hair, red eyes, and a creepy smile. Next was Arazia, the most strongest of all of them. He was a good looking man, green eyes, and tanned skin, but he had anger issues. After him was Auriga, a boy who didn't seem like a threat, but could take out almost anyone. He was very pale. And finally, there was Taliva, the old man, and probably the  best liar.
"After thirty four years of being put to sleep, you think one would feel alive than more tired." laughed Auriga.
"Have you found the ones that continue to hurt us?" asked Cher. I looked down to my shoes, but, I have to tell the truth.
"We have found their children but not them. The parents are...dead."
"And why aren't these children dead yet?"
"Your majesty, these two kids show no threat or signs of having their parents gifts. Also, one of them is the alpha's mate." said my father.
The house began shaking and the floor fell below us, making us land on another cold, hard and wooded floor. The floor above is fixed itself and all of us were left standing at a mirror that read, "GET OUT OF MY HOUSE, NOW!!" It looked like it was in blood. The stench of dead flesh quickly wrapped over the council and my father and I. It was coming from a closed closet door. I slowly approached it and placed my hand on the knob.
I opened the door, closing my eyes at the dead bodies that lied in front of me. A collar was wrapped around one of the skulls and on the back it read: "K. Michaels, if found, call hell." A hallow voice began yelling, hoarsely. He was saying what was written on the mirror. "Starting to think that the legend that this place is haunted isn't a legend anymore," I said. There was a ghost in this house, and we were the prime targets of its kill list.
