Chapter 24

Chapter 24:

Elena's POV

YOU KNOW THE FEELING WHEN YOU'RE RUNNING from something, but you just aren't sure what? That was me right now, I was running from these four people who apparently wanted to do something terrible to me. What did I do to them, I had just gotten here. I exited through the back of the hotel and inauspiciously paced towards a giant hospital that laid near the hotel. I looked around to see if anyone could see me; and then I quickly turned invisible. I passed through the automatic doors and paused by a small fan. Soon enough, the four horseman came in and said, "I smell her scent." My hair blew in front of one of the guys and I quickly snatched it back as they walked deeper into the hospital. I flew into the air and phased onto the roof.
        Just as I was about to jump off of it; a girl began speaking behind me, "you're his mate!? Guess the Moon Goddess wanted him to degrade." I slowly turned around to see one of those dark headed horsemen, I mean girls. "Who are you?" I asked,  raising a brow. The girl began laughing, what was funny, my face maybe? My hands started to form lighting.
        "Oh, so scary. If you want to see lightning, I'll show you lightning for stealing my family, and stealing my mate from me!" yelled the girl. Realisation came into my mind, how could I have been so blind? When she said, how could he be my mate; she was talking about Ashton. She must've been the mate he had before. All of a sudden, I started to get a flashback. I was walking through the woods with some guy, I looked like I was in love. However, there was also a small look of regret and sorrow that appeared on Elissa's face. She opened her mouth to speak, saying, "I can't be your mate. You have a wife and you know what's going to happen to me in a couple of days."
        "Don't worry about her, she's not my mate anymore. You are, I want you."
        I came out of the vision and gasped, "this has all happened before." The girl came at me I jumped off of the roof just in time. As I jumped off, I teleported in thin air and appeared by a body of water. That was too close. I carefully walked by the body of water until something very peculiar began to happen. Bodies began rising from the water and I immediately hid behind a tree in the swampy area. There were about ten people that had risen from the water. I quickly turned invisible and climbed up one of the trees. Why was all of this stuff happening when I arrived? I heard one of the people say, "she's back. We be forced to live underwater if she stays. The wolves want us to track her down and keep her here until after it's done." The swamp people quickly scattered off, I almost didn't see any of them run off. They were super fast.
        I jumped down from the tree, what were they waiting for to be done? Were they talking about my vanishing act? Why was it so important that I didn't disappear, why did the wolves need me here so badly? That seemed like the perfect question for Ashton, you know, if I wasn't running away from him! I somehow found my way out of he swamp and started back on my towards the hotel but I was stopped by a touch tap on the shoulder. I turned around to see a small boy looking up at me with a toothless smile.
        "Aunt Elissa?" he asked. I was filled with shock.
        "I'm sorry, do I know you little one?" I asked, somewhat acting like Elissa.
        "My mommy has been telling me about you. You are a superhero." He laughed, explosively.
        "Can you take me to your mommy?"
        "Sure come with me. Quick." The boy began stripping out of his clothes and as I was about to say something, he turned into a wolf pup. He then took off at the speed of light as I used my inhuman speed to go after him.

Sidmin's POV

OLIVER HAD LED ME TO A MANSION AND I HAD TO ADMIT, I was low key scared. The home was a flamboyant red and Oliver unlocked the door with an eye scanner. As the giant door opened, I was shocked to be revealed to a big happy family sitting in the kitchen at the dinner table. As I started turning the corner faster, I realised that I had come face to face with an older version of me. Our eyes widened at the same time and I felt really awkward. I took in my, well his facial hair and how his glasses-less face. He slowly stood up and walked quickly over to me, grabbing me into a tight hug.
"You're back, I'm so glad you're back." he said.
"No doubt your Taylor, or I'm Taylor and you're me. It would be much easier if you could just tell me what was going on here." Taylor giggled and said, "you haven't changed one bit. Where's Elissa?"
"You mean Elena, and she's somewhere in Portland. Why'd you call her Elissa?"
"She still disappeared?"
"Yah, how come you didn't."
"I don't know if I could tell you without killing you, remembering too much hurt you. I could've put you in danger by revealing that."
"So you're telling me that if I remember too much, I could die?" I asked.
"Yes, same goes for Elena. There is something in your heads that will not tolerate you two remembering too much. You have to stop at some point or you will be killed."
Just then, a tall black guy with curly hair came into the kitchen and saw Taylor and I. The man was handsome and his glasses made him look really good. "Is that-"
"Yes, that's the original me, I'm only a duplicate." said Taylor. Taylor went over to the guy and kissed him on the lips. God, was everyone able to have love but Elena and I!

Ashton's POV

THERE WAS ONLY ABOUT A MONTH LEFT UNTIL THE 34th anniversary of the day those twenty-eight thousand wolves were killed. My father was preparing some type of ritual to make sure that would never happen again, but first, he said that he needed to talk to Jordan and I. Jordan and I met my father in Arizona, the council was also there. We were on the border between Arizona and Nevada. My father seemed like he was a little bit on edge and I was worried about him. He hadn't looked like this since he told me the story about his father. As we met up with him, he grabbed us both by the shoulders and said, "boys, it's your mates."
I wasn't going to lie, I thought he was about to say that they had died, Elena being dead again would make me want to kill myself. "What about them?" asked Jordan.
"I'm sorry son, I'm sorry Jordan but they are the ones."
"They are the ones that what?" I asked, trying to get to the point.
"They are the ones that killed the pack in 1981 and in 1947." Jordan and I looked at each other and then back to my father with rage. "How dare you accuse them of something like that! They are not like heir parents!" I yelled.
"Listen, no one knows how but it's them. Each time they come back here, they haven't aged and they have someone else's memories,"
        "Where do they go?" asked Jordan.
        "We don't know, but we have every supernatural being looking for them from witches to the swamp seekers. There's more..."
        "Wherever and however they disappear, when they do, it's not just wolves dying. Every supernatural being loses its power."
        "And you think our mates can do this?"
        "I know they can because I have proof. Here, come."
