Chapter 29:

Elena's POV

IN THE BLINK OF AN EYE, ONLY SIDMIN, AND that guy I had met where I died, stood in a small circle.  It was like I knew him, I could remember his name being Jaylon, or Jamie.  Sidmin telepathically told me what Jamie had to do with our prophecy and to be honest, I felt bad for Jamie, but I also agreed with him.  The only reason Sidmin wanted to stay was because of Jordan, his mate.  My mate, Ashton never came back to me or hunted me down because he loved me.
"Jamie, you're doing the right thing." I said, not making eye contact with Sidmin.
"Elena! If Jamie accepts his mate, then we don't have to disappear. We won't have to go away, ever again."
"Sidmin damnit. Maybe I want to go away. Maybe I'm tired of living the life of this poor girl. Sidmin the only reason you want to stay is because of Jordan. We have the ability to save the world, why do you want someone else to take that responsibility for you?"
"Is this because of Jordan? You know what, you might be right. Jordan hasn't always been there but he's my mate and he needs me. I need him. And if Jamie accepting his mates allows me to make mine happy, I think that's what should happen."
"You don't know all of it Sidmin. If I accept my mate, yah...you two never have to go away again. None of us will have to go away again but...the darkness will never leave again either." said Jamie, looking down, "I'm afraid part of this is to punish Elena and I for always sacrificing ourselves and never letting anyone love us. You never had a problem with that Sidmin but those higher than us think Elena and I are selfish when it comes to love because we are guarded."
"Both of you have mates that lov-"
"One thing, the man you saw out there has done everything except love me.  He cheated on me with my brother and then chose another guy over me."
"That's because you didn't want to try to love anyone."
"I love these people that cover Earth. I love the people that I save when I disappear."  Sidmin didn't say anything to Jamie, "I'm sorry that I won't be that selfish and let the darkness stay here.  I can either be loved by one man and not save this world, or I can leave one man and save millions.  It might just be for twenty-three years but I have to try."

Sidmin's POV

I TELEPORTED BACK TO JORDAN AND SAID, "take me to the wolves.  We can't let them disappear, we just can't." I said, almost in tears.  Jordan looked at me and said, "you want to fight with them?"
"I want to fight beside you.  You're my mate.  Jordan, I'm not going anywhere.  You've changed me."
"Sidmin...the wolves will try to take over the world.  I don't think that's what you want."  I remembered what Jamie had said, he told me he was going to disappear to save all of the people that weren't supernatural.  Maybe if they were all gone, maybe he wouldn't go away.  "Jordan, I'll do whatever I need to, I want to stay by your side and if that means-"
I was cut off by Jordan kissing me dead on the lips.  I wrapped my arms around his neck as he pulled me in closer towards him.  Our tongues dances in harmony together and I felt like I was floating on top of the clouds.  I broke this kiss and then grabbed Jordan's hands.  I opened a portal that took us to Ashton, and I must say, he was surprised to see me.  We were in some kind of headquarters, and there was a picture of Elena, a target around her face.  Ashton was about to turn into his wolf but Jordan stopped him and said, "he's with us now.  He doesn't want to disappear anymore.  And...I think we are a thing now."
        "What about Elena?" asked Ashton.
"She and Jamie still think they have to disappear.  Ashton, the only reason Elena wants to leave is because of Jamie.  She knows they both were rejected by their mates."  I could see the hurt in Ashton's eyes, and then a tall man came from the back and said, "my son, Jamie.  He knows that neither one of them can disappear without you.  If they do, the cycle could be...ruined.  Do they know what you are doing?"
        "No."
"Good.  I don't want my son to disappear anymore either.  I also would like my nephew and niece to stay here."
"Whoa, what are you saying?" I asked.
"....you and Elena are Jamie's cousin.  You are the children of my brother, I cannot reveal too much about who you really are.  It could kill you.  Just know that if you chose not to disappear, Jamie will make a doppelgänger of you.  And you must destroy it."
"That would make it still work, a knock of me?"
"Jamie has a special gift that makes doppelgängers a little bit more than what they seem.  He will have your memories, your powers, your thoughts but he will be nothing but pure light."

Jamie's POV

I SAT DOWN BESIDE ELENA AS WE WATCHED the sun set beyond the mountains that over looked the house in the grassy plains.  Elena places some of her behind her ears and said, "he's going to fight with them, isn't he?" I didn't respond and just looked off into the distance.  Sidmin probably was going to join the wolves on the fight for us not to disappear.  Why couldn't he see that we were doing something that no one else in the world could do.  We all had the power to stop an unimaginable amount of evil.
"I'm afraid that we will find out."
"You said earlier we were being punished?  What did we do?"
"You and Sidmin, nothing.  You two were trying to protect me."
        "Protect you from who?"
"There's one person in the universe that wants me to stay more than anyone else.  He's the reason we are being punished.  If Sidmin is helping the wolves, he will be helping a more evil threat than I have encountered."
        "Who?"
        ".....King Isles....my father....your uncle."
