Chapter 2:Elena's POV
MY NIGHT WAS RATHER UNEVENTFUL after the whole earthquake in the basement thing. The Michaels's left around eleven and I stayed in my room the entire time. I didn't want to see Ashton, the nightmare that would stalk my dreams. For some odd reason, I couldn't stop thinking that look of hurt that he flashed me when we were at the cafe. The jerk didn't even like me for Godsakes. I woke up around six thirty in the morning, and started to freshen up for my first day of school. Yay. I let my naturally curly hair lay down past my shoulders, and I put on a gold, plain, silk, long sleeve shirt, slacks, and gold sandals.
I adjusted my glasses onto my face, and headed downstairs to see that no one filled the kitchen of our new house. Weird. I noticed a note left for me on the fridge that read:
Dear Elena,
We had to get Brenan to school really early and we didn't want to wake you. Also, we will be attending a party Friday at the Michael's, so you better find a good dress. The school is about a thirty minute walk away, sorry we are making you walk but, have fun! Love you sweety.
Aunt M and Uncle P
Walk!? In slacks!? Were they kidding me? I sighed loudly and walked out of the front door, locking the door behind me. I ventured on the path towards the school in silence. Surprisingly, it seemed like everyone walked to school, excluding the Michaels's and friends club. I frowned at the thought of Ashton, that adorable douchebag! OMG, did I just say adorable, I meant, um......I'll say the word when it comes to me. About fifteen minutes later, the school was in sight. There was a humongous sign that read "Welcome to Half Moon Bay High, Home of the Alphas" I shivered at the name. The school however was giant and beautiful, three stories to be exact. I slowly entered the doors to be captured by pure beauty.
The ceilings wrapped around the moon and strangely, I found my way to the receptionist desk. The receptionist was small, bright red hair, and seemed to be missing a bottom tooth.
"Hi, I'm Rebecca Locke, I'm new here and kind of needed my schedule," I giggled.
"Of course sweety, but the first day is always chaotic, would you mind waiting by the young man in the gray. He's new as well." said the receptionist, pointing me to a tall, light skinned, black guy. He looked sad and insecure. I sat down next beside him and said, with courage, "hi, I'm Rebecca, but I go by Elena." The boy lifted his head to speak.
"Um, h-hi. I'm, I'm-I'm...."
"There's no need to be scared, I don't bite. Or drink. Yah that got awk," I laughed.
He smiled. "I'm Sidmin, I really don't have a lot of confidence."
"Haha, neither do I. Join the club."
"Are you new here as well?"
"Yah, I really haven't been in school for the past year."
"Why?" asked Sidmin, curiously.
I open my mouth to speak, but before I could, two loud boys came in. The receptionist was clearly irritated and said, "would you two please get of my office, I had to deal with the both of you all of last year."
"Please, my dad owns you practically." The two boys turned to us, and sure enough, it was Ashton. I rolled my eyes and looked at Sidmin. He looked worried. I looked up to see Ashton's friend staring deeply into Sidmin's eyes. Sidmin quickly looked down as the boy made his way over to us. "What's your name?" he asked, his voice super low, and masculine. Sidmin didn't answer, he just sat there, looking as if he wanted to run in two seconds. "What is your fucking name!?" yelled the boy.
"What's your problem, go eat some pancakes or something." I said.
"Shut up!" yelled Ashton. The weirdest thing happened after that, his eyes turned a bright yellow. I had to be seeing things. "Make me."
"You are mine, and I will have what's mine! If I catch you with any other guy, I will cut off their dick and feed it to the sharks. Don't talk to another guy, don't hang out with another guy, and for sure as hell, don't kiss one." said the friend, walking out, pulling Ashton with him. Sidmin and I stared at each other, what the hell was all of that. This morning was beginning to be more eventful than my night. About thirty minutes later, Sidmin and I got our schedules. We both had IB Physics II. We walked to class together, just talking about random things. He told me about his family. His parents died in a plane crash, the plane crash on 9/11. He lived with his grandparents and had no other siblings.
We arrived at physics, and sat at the same lab table. The bell rung moments later, and the class began to swarm in. The teacher came in, it was a man. He looked to be about sixty one maybe, he had thick round glasses, and he was short. "Alright class, I'm Mr. Holt. I will be the IB physics teacher for this year so be prepared for extreme rigorous work. I will first let everyone introduce themselves. Starting with the two right here." Mr. Holt pointed to Sidmin and I. Just as we stood up, Ashton and his pals, girls included, came storming into the room. The teacher didn't even say anything about their tardiness. So unfair. Sidmin froze a little when he saw that guy again, but I nudged him, giving him a confidence boost.

Ashton's POV
"Um......hi e-everyone. I'm S-Sidmin. I'm from Washington State, I speak fluent Spanish, Latin, and French. That's about it." said Jordan's mate, happily sitting down. Jordan growled with passion and his pants began rising. "Man, control yourself!" I said, through our mind link. I was happy for Jordan, but his mate seemed to be terrified of him, people period. "Hey guys, um, I'm Rebecca Locke, but I go by Elena." Elena, purred my wolf. "I really haven't been up to date on world related things considering that I was in a coma for half a year. It lasted seven months, and I woke up about three weeks ago." Elena sat down.
When she sat down, I felt my heart crush into a billion pieces. My mate could've died, she could've died you idiot and you rejected her. We have to get her back, you have to get her back. You're lucky that she's still alive, exclaimed Rafa. He was right though. I had to make her mine. I didn't have a choice anymore. However, there was no doubt that she hated me with a passion, probably just as much as Jordan's mate was scared of him.
The time came for me to speak.
"Ey, I'm Ashton Michaels, I'm sure most of you know me and how big of an asshole I can be," I began to look into Elena's eyes, "but, I promise you guys that I will not be an ass this year. You guys will start seeing a better Ash,"
Next was Jordan, this was going to be good.
"I'm Jordan Hill, and I play wide receiver for the football team. I am a sucker for romance, I'm gay, and I fight for what is mine. And what is mine will stay mine. Oh,and I'm fluent in Latin and Spanish, but Sidmin beats me in French," said Jordan, winking at Sidmin. Sidmin laughed timidly and returned his gaze to the front, as did Elena.
"Man, the moon goddess probably is laughing at us right now." said Jordan.
"Why do you say that?"
"Because we have a lot of work to do."
Just then, a old woman came into the room, she was in a night gawn. She ran to Elena and began whispering, but because I'm a wolf, I could hear her. "You're here, you have to help me like your mother did. They are going to kill me, please!" Elena jumped up and began backing towards the wall. Mr. Holt tried to get the woman in control.
"Please, your mommy helped me. You can't leave me behind too, please I'm begging. They will erase me. HELPPPP!"
