Chapter 16:

Sidmin's POV

AFTER THE PARTY WAS PRETTY MUCH WRAPPED UP, I STAYED behind to help Jordan clean up the place while Daniel took Christian home. I was washing all of the dishes as Jordan cleaned up the counters beside me. I didn't want this to be awkward by us not talking to each other after what happened earlier, so I took the initiative and said, "you're little brother is so adorable." He laughed and shook his head. I didn't know why but, Jordan standing there was making me feel uneasy. I felt like I was about to faint at how gorgeous and muscular he was. I almost forgot about my feelings for Tyler, which was something that I didn't want to do. I didn't want to hurt someone like Jordan hurt me.
"He really likes you. I never got the chance to say thank you for giving him the power to walk again." said Jordan.
"Everyone deserves to have a good life, especially kids. I honestly feel like I'm on this earth for a reason, I have these powers for a reason, and that reason is to help people." I replied. Jordan stopped what he was doing and then he slowly walked to me. His eyes were glowing yellow, I guessed it had something to do with him being a wolf. I took a step back as he took a step closer and he began to lick his lips. "Um, what are you doing?" I asked. His breathing became harder and it was like I could hear his heart beating faster and faster. "Jordan, are you okay?" He just continued to stare at me and then...the most unimaginable thing happened, Jordan fell to his knees, crying. That completely broke my heart seeing him like that, I almost wanted go cry.
"What's wrong?" I asked.
"I messed up. I could've had you but I fucked everything up. I have been dreaming of the day I would get my mate and now he doesn't want me." he said, sounding strong again.
I was confused. "What's a mate?"
"It's short for soulmate. The Moon Goddess matches wolves up perfectly with the missing piece of their life. You are mine. I'm supposed to protect you, love you, and fight for you. When you hurt, I hurt. When you and that other guy started having something special, I felt it. I was deeply wounded. That's why you have this weird attraction to me, it's the mate bond." he said. That made so much sense, I wanted to be in Jordan's life but my brain always told me he could do better. I sat in between his legs and placed his arms around my waist and laid my head on his shoulder, it was the only way I knew how to make him feel better.
"Why'd you do that?" he asked.
"Because, it hurts me to see you cry. And your arms look comfy." I said, laughing at the last part.
"That's funny." laughed Jordan.
"Why do you smell so good?" I asked.
"It's the mate thing. And if you're wondering, yes, you have a specific scent too."
"What is it!?" I asked, looking into his beautiful brown eyes.
"It's like a hot chocolate smell with a hint of that cinnamon gum that everyone loves."
"Wow, that sounds really good." I laughed.
"It's getting late and I don't want you to walk back home. Stay the night with me." I shivered at his request, I hope he wasn't going to try to have sex with me.
"Sure, but on one condition." I said.
"What?"
"We sleep right here."
"You really like this position don't you?" he laughed.
"You have no clue."
Jordan got up to go take a shower and I continued washing the dishes until I saw what looked like a meteor streaming through the sky. Right when I saw it, I had a vision. Taylor and Elissa were in those damn woods again and they were running from wolves. There was a load of meteors falling from the sky. I came out of the vision and noticed that the meteor was gone. My mind was in shock, how did it disappear that fast? My phone began vibrating and I pulled it out of my pocket. I froze when I saw the name on the caller ID, Tyler.

Elena's POV

IT WAS ABOUT MIDNIGHT AND I FELT WEIRD HEADING TO AN OLD ladies house. Ashton stood close by me as I knocked on the door as Cason stayed behind us. Surprisingly, the door opened immediately and I was pulled in by the old woman, leaving Ashton and Cason outside. "Elena!? Are you okay!?" he yelled. His voice had gotten deeper and I could feel him get worried. "I'm fine, you two just wait out there." I responded. I gulped as the old lady sat me down on the couch and softly said, "I knew you would listen to me." I sighed and laughed sort of.
"You said you knew my mother?" I asked.
"Yes, I met her around thirty four years ago. She was trying to leave town, she really didn't tell me why though. However, that wasn't the weirdest that came out of her mouth."
"What else did she say?"
"She...she told me that her memories weren't her memories. I didn't know what she meant, but then, she started saying things that only I would know about me, along with my sister."
"Did she know your sister?"
"My sister died a month before Elissa arrived. My sister suffered from a terrible asthma attack at the age of nineteen. We took her to the hospital and there was nothing they could do. Elissa told me that, somehow that...she had my sister's memories. My sister's name was also Elissa Aimes." she said.
"Well who are you?" I asked.
"I'm Mary Jane Aimes. I almost couldn't believe it when Elissa told me she had my sister's memories. I almost fought her but she successfully proved to me that she did have her memories."
"Did Elissa say where she was going?"
"No, she seemed in a hurry though, like someone was after her?"
"Did you know a boy named Cason McCarthy?" I asked.
         "No, I'm sorry."
I thanked the woman and walked back out to Ashton and Cason. I told them about the information that I had gathered and then Ashton dropped Cason and I at my house.i thought about everything again. Elissa said that she had the real Elissa's memories, so am I the real Rebecca Locke? If not, the real one had to be dead from what it seemed. Maybe I couldn't get the memories of living people. Was Sidmin the same way? I looked into the sweet eyes of Ashton, worried.
        "What's wrong?" he asked.
"Nothing." I half smiled. Of course I lied. Lauryn and Elissa both disappeared. Where did they go? Why did they leave? And why can't I remember them? Why was I still so young?
