Chapter 17:Jordan's POV
I HELD SIDMIN IN MY ARMS TIGHT AS HIS HEAD LAID ON MY SHOULDERS. I could hear his heart beating, and I could hear his quiet breaths drift. This felt amazingly perfect, I didn't want it to end. I gently ran my fingers along his cheek bones and smiled. I noticed his phone was sitting in his lap, and it began ringing. It was that boy. Tyler. I picked up the phone and answered it with an aggressive "hello."
"You." said Tyler.
"Why are you trying to take my mate away from me?" I asked.
"He was mine before he was yours." said Tyler.
"No he was not, I met him first. I won't let you take him away from me!" I yelled, hanging up the phone, and waking up Sidmin. He jumped out of my arms in terror and looked at me to see the phone in my hands. I already knew that he knew what I had done. I slowly stood up and said, "you need to make a choice. Me...or him." Sidmin looked into my eyes and he rose a brow. Of course, he was going to make this difficult, but hopefully not heartbreaking.
"Jordan, I care about both you and Tyler. You can't just expect me to drop him for you. And he can't expect me to drop you for him. Listen...as you can tell, I'm not in a really good position right now with my father being the person that killed your kind. How can you and I be together if my family killed your family?" asked Sidmin. I sunk in what he said, that was a good question. Would my parents had approved of someone with a killer in their family. No, I wasn't going to let that ruin our love and my wolf, Jax wasn't going to stand for anything to tear him apart from his mate.
"Just like Elena and Ashton are working it out, we can work it out too." I said.
"Jordan I-"
"Listen if you want to leave me or if you don't want me, just reject me. But, don't keep me holding onto this pain..."
"I don't want to see you hurt."
"Then make a choice!" I yelled.
"...I-I can't." he said, a tear running down his eyes.
"Well I'll make it for you, I'm rejecting you." I said. Right when I said that, I felt my wolf began to whine. My heart slowly felt like it was going to turn into dust and I felt like stabbing myself in the leg.
"W-what?" asked Sidmin.
"I don't want you as a mate anymore, you're better off on you're own. You have bigger things to worry about right now, I understand. Please...just leave." Sidmin slowly walked to the door and stopped for a minute. It began raining really heard outside and he turned around to me and said something that I never thought he would say. "Jordan, I love you. I don't love Tyler the way I love you. But, I don't want to hurt anyone and I'm sorry I can't give you what you want right now. Maybe one day, you'll give me another chance and I'll have the right answer next time." Sidmin waved goodbye slowly and then walked out into the rain. He didn't cover his head or anything. He just walked, my angel walked away, and so did my heart. What did I do? Part of me wanted to run after him but I knew that I couldn't do it. I needed some time away from him.

THE RAIN POURING OUTSIDE MADE ME SNAP AWAKE. I LOOKED to my clock to see that it was 12:01, military time. It was just past noon! I walked downstairs to see an awoke Cason eating a bowl of cereal on the couch. "Way to make yourself feel at home." I giggled. Having him around felt good. I didn't want to be in this house alone and since the council for the wolves was in town, there was no telling what they were planning. I felt Ashton's presence and beat the doorbell to the door. "Well hello pup," I said, opening the door for him. He smiled but it was quickly taken away by urgency. He took me outside and kissed me. Of course I kissed him back and asked, "what was that for?"
"For us officially dating and sadly, I have wolf business that involve me leaving town for four days." said Ashton.
"Where are you going?"
"Charleston, South Carolina."
"Why? Is it about Elissa?"
"...I'm not sure yet but hey, I've got to go. My dad is waiting, I just wanted to say goodbye." I kissed him goodbye as he ran off to his Ferrari in the rain. I jogged back inside to see Cason on the floor, shaking. The bowl of cereal everywhere. "Cason!" I yelled. I ran over to him and touched tried to calm him down. He was having some type of seizure. Just as I was about to call nine-one-one, he stopped and started gasping. "I remembered, I remembered." he said. It took me a while to comprehend what he meant by he remembered, but it suddenly clicked in.
"You triggered a past memory, how?" I asked.
"I think it was the cereal, I've always liked Corn Flakes." he said.
"I don't think you should have another flash, it seemed like it hurt you Cason,"
"No no, I'm fine. I saw you."
"Me? You mean Elissa, what did she say?"
"She said that in thirty four years, the new leader will rise the tides over the moon and destroy every human. And then she said, she thought she had a way to neutralize wolves from ever hurting anyone again."
"What?" I asked.
"She just said the home with the spinning light and a bell signaling new life. And then next thing I knew, you were in front of me." I rose a brow and helped Cason off of the ground. The house with the spinning light? I wasn't good at riddles, so how the hell was I going to solve the one that Elissa had wrote for me. Elissa also said that the new leader will rise the tides over the moon and destroy every human, did she mean Ashton? And did the moon represent the Moon Goddess. Cason looked worried too. If all the humans were going to be destroyed, we needed to do something. All of a sudden, Tyler and the hunters came through the door.
"What the hell is happening now!?" asked Cason and I, at the same time.
"We have a huge problem...Rogues have just entered the area." said Veronica, stepping up. Cason froze when her saw her face, what had gotten into him?
"What are rogues?" I asked.
"They're free lance wolves who kill the innocent and try to conquer other packs. We've calculated at least four hundred on the way."
"Great..."

I SETTLED MYSELF DOWN ONTO THE PLANE NEXT TO JORDAN and took a sigh. I felt bad for lying to Elena, I just couldn't tell her about this though. This meeting was about the humans, we were planning on wiping them out. Right before we left town, I had a couple of pack members give orders to the rogues that we had found to attack all of the humans and hunters in the city. Sidmin and Elena were going to be just fine. I didn't want to seem like a bad boyfriend, that's why I really went to go see her. I didn't want her to think that I was just leaving her to die.
"...you think Elena will still stand beside me if we kill all of the humans." I asked.
"I don't want to talk about love right now." said Jordan, rolling his eyes.
"Why, what happened between you and Sidmin?"
"He told me he loved me...right after I rejected him." I didn't say anything after that, it was apparent that Sidmin was hurt and didn't want to talk about it with me. The plane ride felt like it was going to be fairly quiet and fairly long. We were scheduled to land in Portland first. I looked up at the flight attendant and saw some features I had seen before, on Elena. They didn't look exactly alike, but they looked similar. Her curly hair bounced as she saw me and asked, "did you need something?" I shook my head no. I read her name tag, Raleigh Aimes. Aimes was Elissa's last name, could that woman possible have been her daughter? Elena hadn't told me much about what she found out, as far as I knew, Elissa didn't have a sister. So who was this girl? What was the connection?
