Chapter 22 - Kyle

(Kyle's POV)

(Previously)

"Kyle?" "What's going on?" I ask, sitting up and folding my legs criss-cross style "It's a long story." She replied. Fuck no. Somebody is gonna talk to me. Then I thought.

What if it's about my secret?

What if somebody found out?

Oh no.

" It- uh- isn't about me, is it?" I ask, extremely nervous "No." She replies Thank God. "I want to know. I don't care if it's a long story. Why is everyone being weird?" "Just come over, I'll make us some coffee and we can talk." Alex states "Alright. i'll be over in ten." I say, hanging up and getting off my bed.

Throwing on my clothes from yesterday, I grab my phone and walk out the door.

(Time Skip To When He Gets To The Apartment)

Pulling out my key I stick it in the door, twisting it and opening the door, I walk in. "Alex?" I call "I'm in the kitchen." She yelled, still not sounding the greatest.

"Hey." I say, walking in the kitchen. Looking up from the floor I see her face. Her eyes are completely bloodshot, and her face is slightly red, I can tell she's been crying "Alex Are you okay?" I ask, running up to her and engulfing her in a hug, squeezing her small body tight, her feet raising slightly from the floor. "What's going on sweetheart?" I ask still hugging her small frame. "I- I- can we sit down?" "Of course." I say kissing her soft, brightly colored hair.

Picking her up I walk to the couch, sitting down and pulling her into my lap I run my fingers through her hair "It's hard to explain." She stated "Start from the begging." "Okay." He chocked out "Sh-Shannon and I are- w-were going out for a few months, a-and then y-yesterday I-I walked in on her and J-Johnnie kissing- o-on m-my bed." She said and I could feel tears fall onto my skin "It's okay baby. It's gonna be okay." I whisper into her ear. I have so many thoughts going to my mind. I take a minute to sort out my feelings.

Poor Alex.

Wait- she likes girls?

Shannon to?

And Shannon likes boys too?

Johnnie. SHE KISSED JOHNNIE.

That just hurts my heart.

Johnnie is straight Kyle.

Johnnie is STRAIGHT.

But poor Alex.

My poor baby.

How could Shannon cheat on her?

Was she dating Johnnie?

I can't think about that. I'll just upset myself more.

He could be hurt.

"When was the last time you talked to Johnnie?" I ask suddenly "Where is he?" I follow up with without giving her a chance to speak "He's with Bryan- He's okay." She replied "Alright. Good." I say still hugging her tightly into my chest "Keep talking baby, what happened after that?" ".. "W-well I asked how could she cheat on me- then Johnnie said they were dating for 7 months and he left. And I left, and cried for like an hour, and got really scared about Johnnie then me and Bryan went and looked for him. I went back home after he found Johnnie because he didn't want to see anyone else. Him and Bryan went to a hotel but he t-texted me since then. I haven't seen Shannon since." This is like an information overload. "I talked to Shannon like an hour ago." "You did?" "Yeah- just for a second. I was trying to find out whats been going on." I replied "Hey- we totally forgot to get the coffee." She said with a giggle "Do you still want to?" I ask, gently playing with her hair. "Yeah- do you wanna make it with me?" She asks "Sure." I reply, watching her get off my lap, I stand up, following her to the kitchen.

Getting out the K-cups we put them in the coffee maker with the water and began watching the coffee brew. Looking into my eyes she scooted closer to me looking into my eyes she pressed her lips to mine.

Pulling away quickly I step away from her a little. What the hell? She just kissed me! "Uh- sorry- uh- it was just you know in the heat of the moment." I just nodded "Can we just-" She said, bringing her face to mine again.

Quickly hopping away I blurt out "I'm gay."

The words echo in my head.

Oh my God. I just said that.

Holly shit I just blurted out my secret. "I-I-" I stutter "Your gay?" She asks "No- no I didn't mean it- I-I- uh-"

"Your gay.- Oh my God you are." She says. Oh no. "Everything makes since now. You are gay." "Okay. Okay, I am. You can't tell anybody though." Why did I just tell her that? I could have just denied it. Why did I have to say that.

"Oh my God. Your gay. My bestfriend is gay. I've always wanted a gay best friend! You have to tell me all about it- How long have you known? Do you have a crush? Are you a virgin? Did it hurt? Is Kohnnie real? Please tell me Kohnnie is real!" She squeaked. "What is this? A Q and A? This is going to be annoying. "Come on! Tell me!" She squeaked again. Well. If it will take her mind off the whole -Shalex thing for a while- I guess I could tell her. I mean- people were gonna find out sooner or later. "Okay. But you have to promise not to tell anyone." I say, walking to the couch with her rite behind me. Wow. She's like a fangirl.

(A long Time Later)

"Okay. There you go. Is that all of your questions, because i'm exhausted.' I say leaning further back on the couch "Yeah. And I know why your tired." She says "Why?"

"We forgot the coffee again."
