The plane ride was okay. I slept through most of it. I also texted Kyoya and found out that Tamaki was freaking out and questioning whether he should actually go or not.
Just to boost up his confidence, I sent him a text:
I'm waiting for you. See you in a few days.
When I arrived, it was late at night, like, 3am in France. That means it was, like, 11am in Japan. Although I had just seen Aida three days ago, I was stoked to be seeing her again.
"[Kasumi, my love! I'm right over here!]" my bubbly designer friend called out to me. She was the most energetic one here. Everyone else was half-asleep.
"[Aida! How was your time in Japan, I never got to ask!]"
"[I bought so many magazines it wasn't even funny,]" she tells me.
"[That's great! I hope you found the clubs there as much fun as they are here,]" I mentioned this as we stopped to get my luggage.
"[They were amazing! Singing and dancing holograms! I'd never seen anything like it before!]"
We made our way out to the waiting vehicle. Aida was driving me back to her place. I'd spend the next few days with her until Tamaki gets here.
"[Oh, I forgot to mention this, but Jean moved in!]"
"[That's amazing. Has he been a good roommate so far?]" Jean was her boyfriend. I'd met him a few times, and he seemed nice enough.
"[He's been absolutely lovely! He'll cook, he keeps things nice and organized, and he doesn't mind Duré!]"
Duré is her cat. He's names after Nouvelle Star 2007 winner Julien Duré.
When we got back to her apartment, we sat down and began working on a few designs. And that's what we did for the next few days.
"Tamaki!" I called as I rushed towards the blonde man with violet eyes. I hadn't actually seen him since my father's party.
He pulled me into a hug and spun me around twice, "I noticed your absence in Japan. You might not notice it, but you hold a big presence in my life."
If there was only me and Tamaki to this equation, I would've kissed him there, right on the spot, but I couldn't. Because I love Kyoya too.
"I do wish you would've kissed me, Kasumi," he whispers.
"But you know I can't, Tamaki."
"Yes, I do, and I respect that decision."
"[C'mon, lovebirds. We've got to take you to your hotel,]" Jean informs us. Tamaki was the one who booked the rooms.
"[Tamaki, where are we staying?]"
He smiled down at me, "[You'll find out when we get there, my love.]"
The hotel we pulled up to was a chain that most people only ever dreamed of staying at.
"The Shangri-La?! Tamaki! You know how expensive this is!"
"I wanted to give you the best experience possible."
"I don't need the best, Tamaki. I just need a roof over my head and four walls to keep me warm at night."
He took my hand and pressed it to his lips, "Well with me, you'll have the best."
I was speaking to him in my native tongue, and not his own. Which was odd, since we were in his native country.
