This day had been in the making for the last 7 months. Even before Kyoya had proposed to me, I had been thinking about what our future together would look like. I had thought about my Maid of Honour, and the wedding venue and the colour scheme. It was just so much more magical than I could have imagined. Even more so since Kyoya had been involved in the whole process
I was in a dressing room in the venue, and a hairstylist was working on my hair. We were getting married at a villa in Okinawa. Not the Ootori villa, but still a very sleek and classy villa that wasn't too far away from Kyoya's family's. This one specialized in Weddings, though, and our colour scheme worked beautifully with the interior.
Haruhi, Kiyomi, and Suki were running around like crazy ensuring that everything was going exactly according to the plan. The other bridesmaids, my childhood friends Akahana and Chikako Yusuke (they married twins) were in here with me reminiscing about the good ole days. We were all laughing about how we had acted back in high school.
"The fits that you made about always having to go and meet with those boys after school, I can't believe you're actually marrying Kyoya now!" Chikako said dramatically. "All your whining and complaining, completely in vain."
"I still can't believe it's not Tamaki, I was so sure you had the hots for him way more than Kyoya." Akahana chimed in. "but seeing you with Kyoya, my good, there's not a doubt in the world. Oh my gosh, and Tamaki with Haruhi, so cute!"
I still loved these two girls so deeply, I just hadn't hung out with them in a long time, since about when I got back from Japan, and we had hung out to catch up on life. When I had called them up to ask them to be two of my bridesmaids, they had said yes without hesitation, and thus the trio had been brought back together. And they loved Haruhi, my current best friend, which only made reuniting that much easier.
Akahana has a beautiful baby girl of one year that seems to be her spitting image, and Chikako is three months pregnant now, with a baby boy. Shigairu is going to make a lovely father, as I'm sure Ryuu already is. The thought of two of my oldest friends embarking on the journey of motherhood nervous. Kiyomi has recently started talking with Mitsukuni about having a child as well, or so she tells me. I'm sure she'll make a wonderful mom, too.
"Are Ryuu and Shigairu as excited to be here today as you guys are?" I questioned the two of them about their husbands, who were invited and will be in attendance this afternoon, but unfortunately could not be in the wedding party with their wives.
"Oh they are just a little jealous over the fact that we're walking with the members of the host club, although I'm not sure why, they're all married," Chikako told me, rolling her eyes slightly about her husband's reaction.
"Hikaru's not~" Akahana sang out. Hikaru is who she would be walking with. "Although I already told my handsome slab of man meat that he's got nothing to worry about. That Hitachiin twin has nothing on Ryuu."
"Hikaru, however, is happily dating one of the models from our company, they've been going steady for 6 months, I think he's starting to think about settling down." I interjected.
Hikaru hasn't dated anyone steadily since he was in university, so it was good to see him really serious about somebody for once. I really love Lí, as well, she's one of our best models, I was close with her back in my modelling days, and she's one of my favourites to wear my designs. Speaking of which, I have another dedicated fashion show coming in September... and I'm debating walking it.
"I know that I retired from modelling a year ago, not even, and that I should be settling in to married life, but I think I want to walk my upcoming show." I suddenly blurted out to the girls. There was two small gasps followed shortly by a series of squeals from Akahana,
