Beep.
My eyes moved down to the phone, interrupting my conversation with my father.
Kasumi, where are you?! Are you okay? I've looked everywhere and can't find you.
It was from Kyoya. What time is it?! It's almost ten o'clock.
"I'm so sorry dad! I got carried away, I really need to go!" I grabbed my things and rushed out of his office in a hurry.
Kyoya! I'm so sorry! I went to see my father and got carried away with talking to him.
My phone began ringing. Now he was calling me? I was in the lobby now, but everyone was gone.
"Kyo-"
"Oh thank god! You had me worried sick, Kasumi. You should've let me know that you were staying to see him!"
"I'm sorry. I'll be on my-"
"You stay exactly where you are, I'm coming to get you."
In a mere twenty minutes, Kyoya was flying through the door. His arms wrapped around me and crushed me to him. Slowly, I placed my hands against his back.
"I'm sorry... I didn't mean to make you worry."
His chin rested on my head, "I know you don't, but I do. I worry about you every single day. Thinking about you wandering the streets alone nearly kills me. You're a girl, and a beautiful one at that. It's not unimaginable that you'd be a victim of a crime. I'm always going to worry about you; I love you."
I pulled away from Kyoya and kissed him, as much emotion as I could muster being put behind it. When he pulled away, he was smiling, until he looked behind me.
"Kasumi, your dad is-" I cut him off with another kiss.
"He knows." I then took Kyoya's hand and led him towards the door, "let's go."
On the way home in the car, I stayed abnormally close to Kyoya. My hand on his thigh, my head on his shoulder.
"I really like your older sister," I told him casually, stroking his leg with my thumb.
"Well, that's good. Fuyumi kept rambling on and on about how we need to get married so I can stick it to Yukino and because she wants a sister she actually likes. Oh, and she kept rambling on about how her birthday present to me would be a new wife." He chuckled gently at the thought.
Kyoya's birthday. It was Sunday. I missed it.
"I have to get you a birthday present! What do you want?"
The ebony haired man shrugged, "I have no idea, Kasumi. I'll think about it."
As we headed into his house, Kyoya took my hand. He also whispered, "Promise you won't scare me like that again."
"I promise, Kyoya," I gave his hand a squeeze. "Well, what do you want to do now?"
He shrugged a tiny bit, "I don't know. Maybe we could just go upstairs and cuddle?" Kyoya seemed nervous.
"That sounds great, Kyoya." I lead him up the stairs, squeezing his hand. Lounging around with Kyoya did sound good. Perfect, almost.
"Alright..."
An earlier thought suddenly popped into my head, "Oh did you figure out what you want from me for your birthday?"
