I hadn't heard from Tamaki since December 4th. And now it's the 22nd. Talk about loving and leaving. Don't worry, I'll see him tonight.
Tonight just so happens to be my 24th birthday! Yay! Party hardy! No, not really. I'm just hosting a dinner party for me and a few friends. I also specified that there were to be no presents; that's what Christmas is for.
Everyone is allowed a plus one, so there could be anywhere up to 18 guests at the party. Tamaki, Kyoya, Kaoru, Hikaru, Mitsukuni, Takashi, Kiyomi, and Suki were the original invites. Dash, Aceline, Aida and Clovis already sent me my Christmas presents, and theirs are on its way.
One of my favourite traditions in Paris was getting my friends to dress up for my birthday. One year, Aceline and Dash showed up in matching elf costumes! It was adorable.
I was wearing my own little Santa dress that came down to mid-thigh. It was paired with a matching red cap and red boots with black laces. Plus my red gloves and holly earrings. To be honest, I thought I looked really cute. Like, super cute. Kiyomi would be arriving with Mitsukuni and their guest, some girl from the law firm, in around 20 minutes.
Kiyomi had promised me that her friend, Mitsukuni, and herself would all be wearing something festive. It was gonna be a great night.
As far as I had heard from Kyoya, he was going to be wearing a black suit with a Santa Clause coat over top. That was perfectly fine by me. I'm sure he'll look great.
Kaoru and Suki were going to be wearing opposing colours; Suki a green dress and Kaoru a red suit. They'd look awfully cute together.
As far as Takashi and his fiancé, I had no idea. They would be a total surprise to me, but I hope they look cute.
When Kiyomi showed up, she was dressed in a dark green skirt, a red/green plaid shirt, and green boots. Mitsukuni had on a dark green suit, with a shirt to match Kiyomi.
Their friend, a short girl with cut off brown hair, was also wearing a cute Santa Clause themed dress, with the hat to match. I immediately began to chitchat with her. She seemed fun; I like her. I like her a lot.
The doorbell rang again. I rose from my seat and skipped over to the door. It was Takashi and his fiancé.
"Happy birthday Kasumi, here's your Christmas present," Takashi placed a box into my hand.
"Thanks, Takashi! I'll go put it under the Christmas tree!" I beamed up and him and made my way into the living room.
The two had been adorned in white with red accessories. If you thought about it, it made sense; they were candy canes. What a creative idea.
Hikaru and Kaoru and Suki, my work colleagues, were the next to walk through the door. Kaoru and Suki were dressed exactly as they said they would be, but Hikaru lacked a little holiday spirit.
"Hikaru! You didn't dress up," I sighed, pulling him into a hug.
He chuckled, "My tie has lights on it, doesn't it?"
"You guys were all about dressing up in high school! Hikaru!!" I let out a playful whine.
He chuckled, "Sorry. I couldn't find anything good enough."
I made him promise to wait for me there and took off. There was a box on the steps with exactly what I need in it. I grabbed it and headed back to Hikaru, placing the antlers on top of his head.
"Do I really have to wear these?"
"You didn't dress up. Of course you do!"
