Zinnia
"Hello? Can I help you with something?" The elderly lady ask me.
I nod with a small smile. At least someone here is nice. "Yeah I'm new. Can I get my schedule?"
She smiles "Sure. What's your name?" she ask.
"Zinnia Valencia."
She smiles. "Yes, of course. Let me just find it first. Things are always getting lost around here."
While she looks for my schedule I see a guy sitting down on one of the chairs.
The first thing I notice is the black piercing around his lips. Damn. I've never been into piercings before but wow, that looks good.
He notices me staring, well technically checking him out and his lips turns into a small smirks. Oh great, not another one. It's like everyone here has the same personality.
His eyes rake my body head to toe and my body floods with heat from embarrassment. "Hey you're new, right?" He ask leaning against the wall.
I nod and smile lightly. "Yeah how'd you guess?"
"Well because I would of definitely remembered a face like yours. You know I prayed to god to send me a guardian angel and I guess he answered my prayers. Are you here to help me, gorgeous?" He smirks and wiggles his eyebrows. There it is. He's just like the other jerk I met last night.
The guys at my old school were never like this. They were always respectful and never smirked like the weirdos here. When they liked a girl they were simply kind to her and tried to impress her with things like gifts and trying to show strength through sports and such. But it seems as the guys here don't even know the meaning of respect.
But seriously, did he think I would fall for that lame pick up line? He's like every player on Tv. Ha! Well too bad for him, I watched Chuck Bass on gossip girl and you can't top that. I know all these games.
I let out a dry laugh. "That was so cheesy, man. Nice try. Maybe try that line with someone else. Because so far you've just made a bad impression." I pat his arm. This is why I don't want to date. All guys care about is one thing and it's to satisfy their needs.
He looks at me in shock and annoyance. It's not my fault he sucks at flirting.
"Here's your schedule." The lady interrupts with a kind smile.
I smile back at her "Thank you."
I take my schedule and leave the guy standing there. But I assumed the conversation would only get worse from there so it's better to leave now.
I hear the door open and shut again.
"I'm Asher! Just in case you wanted to know." I hear the guy shout from behind me. I roll my eyes to myself and scan my schedule.
First class, english. I look around and see doors everywhere. My god, I have no idea where to go. Everybody rushes to their classes while I stand there like a confused child.
A tall girl stands in front of me. And I debated asking her for help. I sigh, if I don't I'm going to be left here alone. I tap her shoulder and she turns around, only to stare at me like I'm some sort of creature. "Yes?"
"Uh... I'm sorry to bother you but I'm new and I kinda need help finding my classes. Can you please help?" I ask politely.
