Shattered Heart

I watched him drive away as I stood there in the driveway unable to move, everything around me seemed to slow down and I suddenly found myself unable to support my own weight as I slumped to the ground crying. Did that really just happen? Did he really mean he was done? As in DONE? As in he threw in the towel on the day of our seventh monthaversary and drove off no longer my boyfriend...done?

* B sits in the rain crying and Miley walks outside, when she sees B she runs over to her*

(Miley) B? What are you doing out here? *sees that B is crying* are you crying? What's wrong?

*B buries her face in her hands*

(Miley)  Sweetie let's go inside and talk we are going to get sucked up by a damn tornado or something *grabs ahold of B's shirt*

*B shrugs off Mileys hand*

(Miley)Bailey, this is crazy if you won't come inside at least tell me what is wrong

*Bailey pulls her knees up to her chest, burying her face into her arms on top of her knees crying harder*

*Miley sighs and walks inside the house*

How stupid can I be, I had someone who loved me, who was sweet and respected me and my parents and my morals and who was understanding about tour and I fucked it up...this was all my fault. I could sit here in the rain and cry and play the victim all I wanted, or I could try to fix it...I had to try to fix it...

*B stands up and takes of running toward Sam's house*

*Miley runs into the family room and finds Nick, Olivia, Joe and V setting up monopoly by candlelight*

(Nick) what took you so long? Aren't B and Sam going to play? Why are you soaked?

(Olivia) *smacks Nick on the shoulder* let her talk for Frick sake! Sometimes you are just like your sister!

(Miley) *gestures to Livie* thank you! *Livie nods* something is wrong with B

(Nick) *stands up quickly* what? What's wrong?

(Miley) I don't know...Nick, its bad...something is really wrong she is outside... she won't talk to me
*Nick runs to the front door before Miley finishes talking*

(Olivia) is she ok?

(Miley)*shrugs* I ...

(Nick) *runs in* are you sure she didn't leave with Sam?

(Miley) no...Sam's car was gone

 (Nick) shit....Joe get Dad...

(Joe) why? Whats wrong?

(Nick) B is gone

I've always been a runner, it helps me clear my head, even used to be on the track team in jr. high before the boys started touring and I had to put ...well everything on hold...I forgot how much I love it. I made it to Sam's in record time...barefoot at that...however, Sam's car was nowhere in sight and immediate panic set in. I ran to the door pounding on it and praying that he had parked in the garage to protect it from the storm, no answer. If something has happened to Sam, I will never forgive myself.

*B sits on the steps of Sam's porch and cries praying that he will show up. Suddenly a black SUV pulls up in front, Nick jumps out before it even comes to a complete stop and runs up to B throwing his arms around her in a hug*

(Nick) *breaks the hug to put a hand on each side of B's face forcing her to look at him* Don't you EVER scare me like that again, do you understand...EVER!

*B nods her head and starts to cry harder*

(Nick) what happened

(Bailey) he ...broke up with me

(Nick) *frowls* what?! Why?

(Bailey) he found my phone, he saw that I had been texting Jake...

(Nick) he is probably just upset B...he will cool off...

(Bailey) NO..Nick, you didn't see him, he was so mad...he said he was done...done with me...you and I both effectively sabotaged our relationships...we.are.awesome

(Nick) I didn't sabotage anything, Miles broke up with me earlier tonight before I kissed Livie, I tried to tell you that but you wouldn't listen.

(Bailey) well then, it's just me that sucks...

( Nick) *grabs B's hand* come on, lets go home *B doesn't move* Bailey, don't make me carry you, I will...

*B sighs and stands from the stairs following Nick to the SUV*

I fully expected Dad to be mad as hell when I crawled into the SUV, I sat down and braced myself for the lecture but it didn't come. Nick crawled in next to me and put his arm around my shoulders pulling me close. I snuggled in and cried. The realization of the nights events set in and made my chest feel deflated...this must be what a shattered heart feels like.
