Bailey's Inner Monologue

Its been a long night, it took forever for Nick to come down off his sugar high...we passed the time by talking...playing war and gin. FYI...I so owned his butt in war.*smirks* we even sat through an entire episode of the Baby Story marathon and I believe we are both scarred for life. Kinda like a car crash though...we couldn't help but watch. We finally went to bed around midnight, or at least Nick did...my thoughts kept me awake for quite a while.

*B opens her eyes and looks at the clock next to the bed...2am*

(Nick) *eyes shut* whats wrong?

(Bailey) *small smile* how did you know I was awake?

(Nick) you breathe differently when you are asleep...

(Bailey) *lifts head up to look at Nick who peeks open an eye* creeper! *smirks*

(Nick) *chuckles* you lay ON me all night...it's not hard to figure out if you are asleep or not...plus your head is heavier when you are asleep

(Bailey) dude...did you just say I had a fat head? We can't be friends *fake hurt*

(Nick) *pulls B back down to lay in her spot on his shoulder and kisses the top of her head* I love your fat head *chuckles*

(Bailey) *smiles contently* you're lucky I love you

(Nick) *chuckle* you're lucky I'm so comfortable

(Bailey) touché

(Nick) so, whats floating around in that fat head of yours keeping you awake

(Bailey) *slaps Nicks stomach playfully* Sam...

(Nick) ah, did you call him?

(Bailey) No...

(Nick) why not?

(Bailey) *shrugs* I'm stubborn I guess.
*Nick smiles and says nothing. B lifts her head up to look at Nick* you are supposed to say "Oh,no B you aren't stubborn, Sam is just being stupid...he should have called you."

*Nick smirks*

(Bailey) *rolls eyes and then lays her head back down on Nicks shoulder* you suck at being supportive...

(Nick) *chuckles* you want me to lie to you?

(Bailey) *sighs* so you do think I should have called?

(Nick) I think that Sam loves you and that he is very protective of you and he isn't comfortable with you being around Jake. Maybe its because he doesn't trust him, maybe its because he is jealous. I dunno. I don't think he necessarily handled it the right way but I think his intentions were good.

(Bailey) what would he be jealous about? I'm not interested in Jake....

(Nick) well, you kind of are...

(Bailey) *sighs* I do miss the excitement of Jake but I'm in love with Sam...there is no need for him to be jealous...

(Nick) just talk with him tomorrow...I'm sure you guys will work it out

(Bailey) k...

(Nick) go to sleep...you are going to be a bear in the morning

(Bailey) love you

(Nick) love you too

*B snuggles into Nicks shoulder and quickly surrenders to sleep*

*B wakes up to a sharp pain in her arm and opens her eyes to see Livie*

(Bailey) *rubs her abused arm* did you just pinch me?
