Karen
It had been a week since everything went down at the dinner. Monday morning when Karen was walking into the school she noticed people was looking at her and whispering. She already figured word got around about her being pregnant. She ignored everything and continued to mind her business as she headed to her locker.
Throughout the whole day all she heard was people gossiping about her. It was annoying as hell but she kept ignoring it.
It was lunchtime and Karen was glad. Her, Hazel, and Kira met up and took their usual seats. "Girl I'm so tired of hearing about what happened at the house, it's annoying like crazy." Kira said texting on her phone.
We all agreed. "Wassup with you and Kev?" I asked her watching a smile make it's way upon her face.
"Girl he is so amazing. I actually didn't know that him and her was talking or whatever."
"So word around the school is Lacy throwing salt on your name and telling everyone you slept with random dudes." I scrunched my face up. "That's why everyone was looking at me and whispering and shit." I had to breathe in and breathe out. I wasn't going to let all of this get to me.
"If Lacy wants to be messy let her be by herself. She just mad that's all. I don't have time to be stressing over stupidity. I got bigger and better things to worry about. "
After lunch everybody parted ways and went to their classes. Unfortunately for me I had class with Kyle and Lacy. This should be fun.
As I entered the class everyone got quiet and looked at me. I slightly rolled my eyes and went to my seat.
I was glad when school was over. As I was walking to my car I felt someone pull my arm. Turning around I noticed that it was Kyle.
I raised an eyebrow at him. "Lets go somewhere and talk." I nodded and got in the car. I followed him to this pizza joint. We walked in and found a seat by the window.
After they took our drink orders we sat quietly for a few minutes. "So what is it you wanted to talk about?"
Through the shirt she was wearing Kyle could see a little pudge in her stomach. He reached across the table and rubbed it. It was then that everything seemed so real to him. The thought of him being a father made him happy but at the same time scared.
"How do you feel about all of this?" He asked rubbing his hand through his wavy hair. "I don't know I honestly feel the same. I guess it hasn't hit me yet that I'm about to have a baby."
"What are we going to do about college?" He asked.
"I don't know yet we have until May to figure it out let's just worry about right now. Besides we're going to the same college anyways we can work some thing out." Kyle and Karen continued to talk while waiting on their pizza.
"What about our relationship? Are we gonna' remain as friends or.. " he trailed off.
"Only time will tell for right now let's remain as Kyle and Karen the two inseparable best friends." Karen said smiling.
