Everyone was now outside, each of us waiting for our luggage and bags. I was looking around the huge school where supposedly, students from grade freshmen year of high school to senior year of college go to get an education. They're right...didn't even have a crack on it. This part's harmless!

"Hey, I got our room key."

I perk up am look at Dan walking with his luggage rolling on the station sidewalk. Catherine's bag on his shoulder. The key was a black card with a thin, white line across it. It also had a number on it: 49251. "Looks like you need to get your stuff now. I'll wait for you inside!" He left while I nodded and walked over to Sakie who was at my storage. "Here's your luggage!" She did her best to get my luggage and bag and gave them to me.

"Thanks. See you...tomorrow?" I asked, tilting my head. She nodded and pointed at the academy. "Rita's taking care of everything for tonight. Well, early in the morning but-" Sakie tried to find the right words. "I shouldn't hold everyone, I'll see you later!" I nodded and waved goodbye to Sakie and started rolling my luggage down the station with my drawstring bag on my back. I went inside and looked for Dan and the others. I saw something rub up to me; it was Nina in cat form. She was walking on all fours to the elevator as I followed. Once we got in, she transformed into her human self and pressed button B33. "About your mom; did she abandon you or what?"

"She kept me somewhere safe. Like I said, she sends letters to give me notice. All I know is that she's somewhere far from here. The postcards she sends are different." Nina explained. "Ah, I see..." I reply. "What are you anyway? You said you were a Neko but-" I then thought. She shook her head. "That's what people here call me. My species is Konēkashi! We're basically animal that can turn familiar to a human!" She told me. "That's pretty cool..." I smile softly at her answer. "There's Feathered Konēkashi, Feline Konēkashi..." Nina went on and on about her species of animal. "We only exist here. Universia told me she made them because she thought some animals wanted to be human too..? Yeah, that what she said." I listened to the creature with awe. This Mistress Universia woman sounds pretty cool. I only saw her on TV and in my head, imagine in person...

"Yeah. Like I told your rare fur before, she's too litereat so I don't get some of it."

"You mean literate?"

"Yes!" She nodded in agreement. "But that's okay because Danny helps me read it!~" She blushes lightly. My eyes gaze at her pink, whiskered cheeks. "Do you and Danneth have a thing?" I asked out curiosity. "You mean mating?" Nina asked me, tilting her head and one of her pointy ears twitching. "W-Well I don't think mating. Like, you two are in love, perhaps." I tried making sense for her. "O-Oh! Nah! He did tell me I'd make that special mate happy. Even if we DID 'have a thing', my mother and his sibling would kill me." She responded. "I don't want a mate...I feel like it's hard work. Danny also told me something about his mate...I forgot what he said though." Nina shrugged at me.

"I see. I want a mate. I would like to have a life with that mate and have his kids...cook for him...bake for him. Have a cuddle buddy, all that good stuff." I blushed lightly as Nina looked at me. I-Well, I think you would make your special one happy. You're fun and careless!" I told her. She smiled and nodded at me. "I guess so, yeah."

After a nice talk with Nina, I felt a faint bond with her.
The elevator dinged and the door split opened to an empty hallway. "This is B hall. The number next to the pressy press was our room number!" Nina explained. "Those are dial pads!" I told her. "Oooh! Neat!"

I followed her down the hallway and she stopped at a dorm; it said 'B33'. "Here we are! All I gotta do is the human code!" She knocked on the door and waited. Dan opened it and smiled. "Hello, girls!" He made room for us to enter our dorm room. There were four queen sized beds and two nightstands. One nightstand was in between a pair of beds and another set of beds with a nightstand across from the other and there was a large, rectangular window; like a hotel room? Catherine was sitting on a bed and looking at me from head to toe then started to hum. I then look at her and tilted my head. "...?"

"I'm just checking out my bedroom buddy..." She said with a blank face. "You're sleeping on that bed right next to me." She pointed at the bed next to the nightstand on her side; looks like I am her bedroom buddy. I put my luggage on my bed and walked over to Dan and Nina's side of the room. "Funny how a cat has a bed all to herself." I told Dan. He started to chuckle and then look at Nina sitting on her bed. "Heh?" Nina made a face as if she was confused. We then heard a nice melody. "All soldiers will be examined at this moment. I repeat, soldiers will be given their daily examination." The speaker shut off.

Daily examination? I wonder what that is.
