Later in the evening, we heard a knock on our door. "Eudie, you get it." Catherine said as she shooed me away. "Damn." I made a face as I walked over to the door. "Who is it?!" A male English accent was heard. "Examination Team. Open." The guy ordered. I nodded and opened the door; he was a guy with beige boots, a pair of blue jeans, and a purple turtle neck. His hair was golden brown and it wasn't short but longer than a bowl cut. (it looked fluffy too...)

"My name is Louis Bleu; Universia's secretary, I'll be examining you and your comrades until fall approaches. Where's your leader, red one?" Louis looked at me with patience. "I'm here, Mr. Bleu!" Dan walked over to him doing a salute. Compared to Danny, Bleu and I looked short; he was a big guy by height and by muscle. "Nice to see you again Danneth. How many people are staying? ...I see. Who's the youngest?" Dan pulled me gently towards him. "Eudie. Eudie Brito, sir."

"Age?"

"Fourteen."

"M-Me?! I'm the youngest here?!" I looked up at Dan and he looked at me with a nod. "Huh..." I made a face of interest. "Okay, Penny. Tomorrow I believe you should start training your teammates because the war will start in a week or three at least. Good thing we chose strong and brave soldiers." The last sentence he said under his breath. "That is it from me. These two doctors behind me will now examine you four." A female doctor walked over to me. "Is the Feline Konēkashi here?" The doctor asked me, pushing up her glasses to her face. I nodded and pointed to where she was. "Ah, you two will be examined by me~" She said with a smile. "Uhm, okay..." I said softly and wait as she got Nina out of bed. "Nyaa..." Nina looked tired as I saw her with our doctor. "Let us begin" She walked us to the medical center on our floor.

"My name is Dr. Cellu. I'll be the lead doctor of the Medical Aid Group during the summer. On our first examination, I'll be examining your body. The shape, the size, the height, all that good stuff! We will also be asking some questions. Why? Because we need to check what your armor would look like and check which weapon is good for you. If we are doctors, we are scientists as well." Dr. Cellu explained. "That's how it works in our world~" I was getting more and more interested in this world. The only thing that bothered me was how and why did most of it got destroyed? It can't be human or humans to be exact...

"Let's see here..." Cellu was measuring me. "Hm...I see you two are gaining weight. We'll put you on a special diet - don't worry, it's not too crazy!" She told us. I nodded in agreement and Nina did the same. "I'm eating too much takoyaki then. Even one pound we gain can affect us Konēkashi." She explained to me. "We have different body types like humans but if we gain a pound or two, it affects us."

"So, you guys must sleep and exercise a lot then?" I added. "Yeah. But I'm lazy most of the time so I have to come here twice a day to check my weight and go to the gym for an extra hour. I hate it!" Nina growled. "Especially cardaygo." She huffed. "Cardio?" I corrected her. "That, yeah." Nina nodded. "My mom is really active and is not lazy. I get most of my genes and personality from my Pai. I act just like PaiPai!" She laughs. Huh...her dad sounds cool, actually. The doctor came back and smiled. "Well, ladies! Your diet will be listed on this paper." Dr. Cellu gave us a piece of paper. It indeed had the diet I had to follow. "Drink lemon water only...hm..." I read from top to bottom while Nina scoffed. "No processed meat?! This list is crazy!" She pouted angrily yet adorably. "You can at least eat something like steak right?" Dr. Cellu came over to us and laughed. "Don't fuss! It'll help with that extra fat!" She swayed her hand back to back. "Now go on and start this diet tomorrow morning during breakfast!" We nodded and both of us left to go back to our room.

That guy Louis and the other doctor were passing by the same path; looks like Dan and Catherine finished! I knocked on the door as the pink cat on my head held onto it, not trying to fall. Dan had opened it and smiled, saying "Hey! Just in time!"; He took a step to the side to let the both of us in. "So? How was your examination?" Danneth asked us with a smile. "Good, I guess. She gave me this diet. I'm supposed to drink lemon water until we go out and battle." I responded. "Lemme see...?" Danny took the piece of paper out of my hands and read it for a few. "I can't eat processed meat...that's the best kind! No fair!" Nina growled and pounced on her bed, still in cat form. "You can still eat other meats right..?" I asked her as she curled up in her bed. "Yeah, it's better than nothing..." She replied softly.

"Anyways, guess what tomorrow is?" Dan messes my hair. "Diet Day? The day I wake up to a bunch of people I don't know well? And a bunch more comin' my way?" I guessed with a sarcastic smile. "No. Good guess though!" Dan pats my back with a smile. "The day we train!-" Nina then interrupted him. "NOOO!" She had transformed into her human form and gave Danneth a glare. "I DON'T WANNA GET UP EARLY!" Nina whined and whined.

"Early my ass, I can get up at like 5:00 in the morning." I admitted. "Cool, we start training at that time- and the gym is HUGE! All these machines and list of exercises you can do!" He explained to me. "It's Hell in a room..." Catherine raised her voice to disagree. "A mint, sister." Nina sighed. "You mean, amen?" I asked

"Same thing!" Nina growled

"Okay." My response was mumbled afterwards. Dan then rubs Nina's ear and then messes her already messy hair more. "Don't freak out Nina, if we get to sleep now we'll be fully awake for training!" Danny explained to the sad cat. "Ugh...fine." She rolled her odd, feline-like eyes and started to lay on her bed, spreading out and sighing. "You too, you should get some rest. Even if you are an Early Bird you need some sleep; you're still young, afterall." He told me.

Dan was right, I do need sleep- Hell, I have dark circles that are pretty damn noticeable! I nodded to his last sentence and started to unfold the blankets on my bed. I opened my drawstring bag and took out the things everyone gave me before leaving: The drawing, the necklace, the picture of my nieces; everything. I took out Bob the Goat and looked at the picture of my nieces I put on the nightstand and sighed.

"I'll be back...I swear it."
