"Food."

Food keeps us full.
Food keeps us energized.
Food keeps us happy.

Food makes us hungry.
Food makes us thirsty.
Food makes us happy.

Food can be fatty.
Food can be sugary
Food can be salty

But I love food anyway because:

I closed my notebook back at our dorm and looked at Nina who was looking at me write in her feline form. "How do you do that?" Nina looked up at me and twitched her ears while tilting her little cat head. "Donno...I just do it. I usually write things like this if it's on my mind or to memorize it down on a piece of paper." I explained to Nina while closing my book and closing my eyes peacefully. "Mem-o-rice..." Nina said to herself as if she's trying to pronounce the word 'memorize'. "Hehe, memorize. It means to remember something from the past, pretty much." I explained while opening my eyes again and looking at her. "Ooh! I memorize the stories I heard about my mom! Does that count?" Nina perks up and sways her tail at me. "Sure! You get a point!" I smiled gently at her and pet her while she purrs loudly.

"Hey, guys! It's time for breakfast!" Dan announced from the door's entrance and we both looked back at him. Nina transformed into her half-human self and bolted out the door. "FOOOD!" Danny jumped and shouted at Nina. "NINA! DON'T FORGET YOUR DIET PAPER!" All we heard was groaning from afar. "I got mine but I didn't really read all of it yet." I admitted to Danneth as I look at the paper. "Blah blah blah...no sugar- NO SUGAR?! THIS IS ABSURD!!" I growled and stared at the paper with a predator's eyes. "How bad is this diet thing anyway- NO ALCOHOL?! THIS IS BS!" Dan growled at the paper as if it was prey as well. I paused my staring and looked at Dan. "You're an alcoholic?"

"Nah, I have it to enjoy myself every now and then but I CAN'T DRINK MIMOSAS?! BLOODY MARY'S?! CHAMPAGNE?!" Danny whined and sulked. "What am I gonna drink on my good days?!" He sadly pouted while I couldn't help but giggle at his devastating diet. I never giggle around anyone since it's somehow 'cute'; which is exactly what Danny said. Danneth stopped pouting and looked down at me and chuckles. "Awe, that was so adorable!!" His hand was petting my head while I became blank-faced again and stared at him with my now red cheeks. "Shut up! Hmph..." I grumbled and crossed my arms. "Cheer up, Eudie." Dan told me and he keeps petting me. "You're a cute thing like my sister but you're a pretty tough cookie. To be honest I'm glad I'm gonna fight with you and a strong creature like Nina-chan." He admitted to me and I looked up while putting strands of hair behind my left ear. "I'm kinda glad I have a leader with muscles...you must be the strongest here, dude." I gave a faint smile while poking his rock hard yet soft bicep. "Pfft! I am not as strong as Felix...another comrade in the army. He can lift a damn tree trunk with one hand - Hell, even rip it out if he could."

"Felix?"

"Yeah, Felix Timberland! I'll introduce you to him in the cafe."

"Sounds like a deal!" I nod and start walking out the door with Danny. "Alright, let's get some diet food!" I nod again with a smile on my face; food should appreciate itself for keeping us alive all these times.

We entered the cafeteria and it wasn't like a cafeteria at all; it looked like a restaurant of some sort but also a school cafeteria at the same damn time. A waiter walked over to us and smiled a gentle smile and said our names as he looked at a tablet. (similar to Louis') "So, you must be Danneth Penny and Eudie Brito! I'll send you to the table your other comrades are sitting at! Come with me now!" We both nodded and followed the waiter as he sat us to our seats. "Ooh! Cathy! I see them!! Danny Danny! We're here!!!" Nina waved happily to him and I as Catherine looked at her diet paper and looked like she was done with life. "Veggies and fish?! No cheese?! I'm Greek! Cheese is in my blood!!!" She complained to Nina as Nina-chan looked at her paper with a pout while we sat down from across the table. "Don't mention the paper...!!" Nina whined as she saw her paper. "Ew...fish?! I hate fish and everything that has fish!" She groaned and put a paw-like hand on her cheek, feeling her nail gently prick it.

Catherine was whining while I checked out Ninas sharp, pointy, dark nails. "Dannyyyyy, I can't eat cheese!! What am I supposed to eat instead?!" Danny blew some hair out of his sight and checked his diet paper with a finger on his mouth. "Whining about it isn't going to change things you know." He told her without hesitation. "I know but-" I barged in the conversation to ask her a question. "You can eat other dairies right?"

"Not really."

"What about vegetables? Meat?" I asked her a few more and she made a face at me. "Ew, who eats that? I only eat chicken..." I then made a face at her and then put the paper over my face while I looked at Danneth. "What the fuck is this thing you call a sister? Only likes CHICKEN?! Turkey? Duck? No other poultry or meat?" Danny shook his head. "What the hell?! Beef? Pork? ...steak?!!" Danny scoffs softly through his mouth. "She freaking hates steak." That was when I died inside; who doesn't love meat?! I freakin' love meat, seafood, even poultry! I love all fruits and veggies! WHAT DOES SHE EAT FOR CHRIST'S SAKE?! I then looked at Catherine again and she looked at me. "What do you eat woman...?!" Cathy looked at me and rolled her eyes then looked at her paper again.

The waiter came back and took all of our papers. "Okay troop number 37, we will make a delicious dietary meal for you four as soon as possible!" We all nodded and Nina waved goodbye to our waiter with a smile as I looked at her and chuckled. "Konekashi would be kinda cool as a pet..." I thought to myself and looked at her look at me. "What are those dots on your face?" Nina squinted under my eyes and I just looked at her and tilted my head. "Dots...? What do you mean do- oh!! Those are freckles! Freckles are small dots that appear on your skin if you're in the sun for a bit. " I explained to Nina. "They're randomly spotted on my face, it's no big deal." Nina-chan was in awe and poked my cheek and I blushed lightly. "You humans are pretty different..." She then poked Dan's cheek. "You don't have flesh on your cheek? Are you one of those weird ones?" Danny laughs and shakes his head. "Nah, it's just my face structure!" Catherine adds to the subject. "Humans have different genes and identification. Danny and I have the same hair color since we both have the same parents for example.." Nina smiles and then felt Catherine's hair. "Oooh...is this human fur?"

While she did that, the waiter came back with our breakfast. The waiter gave me an alfalfa omelet with either some vegetarian beans or baked beans; Danny got a breakfast burrito with eggs and a lotta colorful veggies in it, Nina got a fish breakfast taco with alfalfa on the side along with hot sauce. Catherine, on the other hand, got whole wheat pancakes with some organic syrup of sorts. "Hm...it's not that bad! Hope it taste better than it looks right, girls?" Danny looked at all three of us and Nina made a face while Cathy and I took a forkful. "There's fish in it..." Nina whined with a disgusted face. "Try a bite, Nina. Maybe it's not THAT bad!" I encouraged her to eat the fish taco and Nina nodded while taking a nibble of it. Suddenly, everyone became quiet as a forkful of my omelet was about to go in my mouth; I looked back and saw everyone stop what they were doing and stood up. "Get up the Mistress is here!" Danny whispered to me and lifted me by my hoodie to stand up with all three of my troops.

Heels and boots were heard from above and I looked up at the balcony of the cafeteria. It was Louis using his transparent tablet, counting how many comrades were at the cafe by scanning us with this red scanner coming out of the tablet. The woman next to him was- wait...was it really her?!
