Four Years Later

"Oh my God Julio hurry up, you're going to make me late!" I fussed as Julio put the finishing touches on my make-up. I don't understand why I have to wear any when I'm going on stage to sweat it off.

"Bitch I'm almost done." I lift my head up so he could apply some lip gloss and then he was done. I looked in the mirror and was amazed at how beautiful my make-up looked. Julio was good at what he does. Too bad it was going to get messed up by the end of the night.

I'm now 21 and the last four years have been filled with ups and downs. I graduated high school and went off to a community college but dropped out after the first semester. My heart was not into school, it was with music. It took me a year to get a solid fan base. I just started putting music on my YouTube page, and slowly but, surely, I started to get an audience. A couple months later a major record company took interest in me and signed me on the spot. I was excited that my music dream was finally coming true but, five months into my contract and I wasn't going anywhere. They wouldn't let me release the music I had record and I was very unhappy. With Josh being my manager, he got me out of my contract. The next two years was filled with me just releasing mix tapes on my own. My fan base starting growing even more and I was less concerned about a record deal. I was still living my dream with or without it.

On my 20th birthday I got a call from Columbia records saying that they wanted to sign me. After reading over the contract and being clear on what I wanted and them agreeing to it, I signed the deal and everything has been up ever since. I have finally found my happy place.

"Auntie Pari here." I swiveled around the chair to see my babies holding two roses for me.

Stacy gave birth to two beautiful girls, Alyia and Jaylia, I was there with her, all 24 hours she was in labor. She kept trying to choke Jheri every time he tried to coach her through the contractions so I had to be by her side. It was a day I will never forget.

Stacy went off to college and got her bachelors degree in nursing. Me and my friend have came a long way. I was so proud of her.

"Awww thank you pretty girls." I grabbed both the roses and placed them in some water. I gave them both a kiss on the cheek and they ran out of my dressing room. I looked up to see Stacy standing in the door way.

After giving birth, Stacy figure has gotten fuller. Her hips and thighs just makes me feel like a toothpick.

"Your show starts in 10, are you ready?" I had to think about that. Was I ready?

"This is my dream Stacy, I wanted this more than anything. So yes, I'm ready." I smiled at her and she smiled back. She embraced me in a hug.

"I love you Paradise. Good luck girl." We pulled away and she walked out leaving me consumed in my thoughts.

Other than the music, other crazy things has happened. After me and Khalil got together, I found out that he got Shawna pregnant I was pissed because instead of him telling me, I had to find out by seeing her at the mall with him.

"Stacy they are barely a month old, they do not need this." I chuckled as Stacy picked up two tricycles that were pink and purple. They were cute but, really? They won't need them for awhile.
