Eva has me dressed up in some of her brother's old clothes. A pair of gum-rubbers which are mad boots just more heavy duty. Then I have an old blue t-shirt on, it's worn down quite a bit, the blue is clearly faded along with the brown on the monkey and the blue of the four-wheeler he'a rising through mud. It's stained and has some holes in it. Over all, it's probably the most comfortable thing I've worn sense I stopped buying my own clothes. Management handles that. I hate not being able to pick out my own clothes but really, why can I do. I also have a pair of old maroon sweatpants. A big "FA" is on the side. Eva says it stands for "Foxcroft Academy", her brother and hers old high school.

I stand on the front lawn while Eva goes and grabs what I suspect to be a four-wheeler. I've never been but the idea sounds fun. Eva being a Mainer, has hundreds of times and is probably very confident on driving one.

Suddenly I hear the roar of an engine and I pull my attention from the small garden to the side of the house where Eva pulls up on a white four-wheeler. Her hair is down as usual and she's wearing a pink softball t-shirt and greenish shorts with blue nock-off-brand vans. She pulls it up in front of me and stops it on front of me. "We're goin' mudddin'." Her Maine accent seems more apparent in her own place. It stands out more I guess. I never noticed how dense an accent she had.

"Madding?" I ask, walking over to the machine and stepping on the foot rest. I swing my leg over and wrap my arms around her waist firmly. Resting my chin on her shoulder.

"Yeah, you'll see what that is soon enough but I want to show you some of Maine. Hold on, I'll go easy at first but don't expect to go easy in the holes." And with that she switches the gears to drive and she pulls around and out of the drive way.

The ride is bumpy, but it's nice as we are still on tar. But I get slightly nervous as she pulls off the road and drives in the ditch. From there I loose sense of direction as I study the scenery. She takes more turns but I don't pay attention as we drive next to a corn field. The smell is so musty and fresh, it's a heavenly scent.

Eva usually smells like vanilla and it always had a different tang to it, which I now know as Maine. She never lost the scent of her home.

I am pulled from my thoughts as the ride gets bumpier and I'm thrashed a little. I squeeze her a little tighter because she is my only thing to hold on to. She is also really warm and I love the way I feel as I hold her. Even though it is rather hot out now, her warmth is so much more welcoming with the winds blowing past us that are caused by the speed we move.

Eva has a certain amount of curve. While I tour, I found it helpful to talk about her. I did all the time and the guys even said it came to the point where it would have been annoying if it were about anyone else. I remember describing her to Liam one night. Not to an extent just the way her curves melted and the way her eyes just lit up the room.

~*~*FLASHBACK*~*~

I sit the dressing room with the other guys except Lou who is off to god knows where. I sit next to Liam with a blank stare on my face as I study my fingers. Curling them in and out of a hold. Missing the way Eva always played with my fingers without even knowing it. Missing the way she'd laugh at me when she'd pinch my finger nail to get my attention.

We've been on tour for about three weeks and all I ever think about is Eve. I miss her presses so much, the pain wouldn't be so intense if I knew I could just call her and hear her laugh. But as far as I know she is in a hospital bed unresponsive.
