Jack's P.O.V.

"Hey." I said walking up to Cameron, he turned around, "Hey Jack, why didn't you come to school yesterday? And Alex too, is he okay? He's been acting weird lately. You think? Or am I the only one who noticed.."

I just looked at Cameron in shock, I mean who knew he cared?

"Mhm, well... Alex wasn't feeling good yesterday so I stayed home with him. You know because I didn't want him to be alone and all. So we just played call of duty all day. It was fun and I think it took Alex's mind off some stuff." I explained lightly.

"That's cool. Alex's parents let you two skip? That's fucking sweet."

"No, Alex's parents are out of town remember? They won't be back probably until next week." I stated.

"Oh. Well maybe I can come over and chill with you guys. Or do you think Alex will get jealous?" I just... what?!

Cameron laughed at my reaction, "I'm kidding dude. No but seriously you should ask Alex if I could come over. I would ask him myself but I rarely see him."

"Yeah, I'll ask him as soon as I see him." I replied.

"Okay, sweet."

Alex's P.O.V.

I can't believe I failed. I feel so pathetic, I mean a 67? Like are you fucking kidding me?! I could've sworn I had this in the bag, it's not fair.

"Alex." Ms. Smith said softly as she laid her hand my back, patting it lightly, "I know you've honestly tried your best Alex, so don't be so hard on yourself okay?"

"Well my best wasn't good enough, obviously because I failed."

"Oh stop. You're only a failure when you give up, but YOU didn't give up Alex. At least you tried and that's more then I can say for some people." I didn't say anything, I kept my head down as Ms. Smith went on, "So you wanna keep trying, or you just wanna give up? Because the person I've asked to tutor you is coming as we speak and I'd very much like you to meet her. She really wants to meet you, and I'm not about to let you give up Alex."

I sighed, "I'm not gonna give up. That's just not me. I'll do it, I'll meet her."

"Get up!" Ms. Smith yelled, I shot up thinking she was mad but as soon as I stood up she hugged me.

"Alex, I'm so proud of you." She whispered as she continued to hug me.

I secretly smiled, "Thanks Ms. Smith."

She released the hug and backed up to look at me, "No, thank you for not giving up Alex." I just smiled, but man was this whole conversation cheesy as fuck.

"Ms. Smith..." I hear.

"Oh you're here. Alex, this is Sierra. She'll be tutoring you." Ms. Smith greeted us, but already knew who she was, sadly.

"Hey there again." Sierra smirked.

"You guys know each other?" Ms. Smith was confused.

"Yeah we know each other. We go way back, huh Lexy?"

"Don't call me that. Only Jack can call me that. Jack was the first to call me that so you can't call me that." I protested. I sounded arrogant as fuck I just realized but whatever.

"Okay then. Well if there's gonna a problem with this arrangement then tell me now or forever hold your piece." Ms. Smith said, Jesus fuck it's like we're getting married or something and I'm gonna be stuck with this crazy bitch forever. No wait, it is like that. Fuck.
