Allison Watson is perfect. A sweet little princess who does absolutely nothing wrong. Ever. She goes about in her sparkly pink slippers and her ball gown painting, reading, baking and cooking, even humming a tune or two. Not a frown nor a scowl ever seems to displace the brilliant smile she interminably wears. Her hair is too short now to be woven into a delicate braid atop her head to secure her tiara, though. She donated her hair to locks of love a month ago. Her shiny locks -- which she has recently dyed red -- now barely reach her shoulders. Should her perfect strains of hair catch a shard of sunlight, then I'd better shield my eyes before I go blind.

These past few weeks I've spent with Allie have caused me to regret my decision to stay in New York. I can't understand why I had thought Allie was so cool, so fun, so different. I've decided to stay through the summer, though, because I will be enrolling at a community college in late October, and I want to grow accustomed to New York culture. I can honestly confirm that Allie is the reason I've considered leaving, considered returning to Malibu until the second quarter starts. However, staying with Tom and Christina will be far cheaper than finding my own place in the city.

Allie Watson has obviously been conjured from materials consisting of butterflies, rainbows, and cupcakes with sprinkles. i knoww isnt she so annoyingg :P, Eliza had texted me when I'd told her of the situation that occurred on the Forth of July. Allie shares the same birthday as the United States, so, on her seventeenth birthday, Allie dressed herself in shorts that had the American flag printed on them with a cute, white blouse that contained traces of lace. I had told her that I'd treat her to a night at the club. I turned eighteen in the Spring, so I figured I'd be able to sneak her in since I was legal now. What better way is there to spend your birthday -- which happens to be the Forth of July -- at a club?

But Allie had declined. She had told her aunt and uncle that she'd rather us drive out of the city to see fireworks somewhere. Yes, a seventeen year old would rather sit in the damp grass in the humid air and watch colors explode in the sky than go to a bar, drink, and meet hot men. I suppose this event is what initially triggered my realization of Allie's vacuousness. Ever since then, I cringe whenever she enters the room. I'd rather live in a jail sell with a dozen Elizas than live with my step-sister in this chic apartment.

Eliza had laughed when I told her this, and was pleased that I was coming to my senses about the flake that Allie was. She had reminded me that it was better this way; blighting her relationship with Harry shouldn't make me feel like such a horrible person anymore. Watching that perfect smile vanish from her lips shall bring me great pleasure.

I was writing this after dinner on a Wednesday. We just finished dinner, and Allie was perched at the kitchen table with her elbows propped against her massive science book (Allie started her Senior year this week). Her eyes were fixed on her phone that she held in her hands.

"Everyone, I would like to inform you that today is the day that Liam James Payne was born," Allie announced. I groaned beneath my breath. "I'm tweeting him happy birthday now!"

Nobody cares, I thought spitefully.

"That's nice, Dear," Christina teased. She sat beside Allie at the table, cutting coupons from fliers.

The pain she's been experiencing has not subsided in the least. If anything, it's only gotten worse. She stays in bed longer, vomits more frequently, cries.

"Hey Allie, could you dry the dishes for me as I wash?" asked Tom who stood at the sink.

"I can't," Allie moaned. She moved her phone aside and slapped her head on her text book. "I have to do a stupid paper on the Hollywood flower. It's only the first week of school and I have to write a stupid paper on a plant."
