Klaus's POV

I watch as Caroline has yet another sip of her fifth drink, and she is beyond 'tipsy' as she would call it.

"Love, I think that's enough," I suggest kindly. I've never seen Caroline drunk besides the one time, and really it was what a sight. I try to take the cup from her hands before she grabs it back.

"Klaus, you're ruining my fun," she responds with a smile, slurring her words. I can't help grinning.

"You'll thank me in the morning," I tell her and take the cup, now throwing it away before she can take it back. Now without a drink, Caroline climbs on the table, smiling at the guy who's clearly interested in her. It makes me want to rip his head off.

"Caroline, love. Get off please," I say in a gentle, yet stern voice as if I were telling it to a preschooler. She rolls her eyes, shaking her hips to the music. More people get up and join her as she does so. It's hard to take my eyes off the way her body moves so gracefully to the music, even when she's completely wasted.

Caroline laughs and gets off, walking over to the guy. He smiles at her offer and kisses her lips, the two now making out in front of me Now I really want to rip the bastards head off.

"That's enough," I growl when he travels his hands up to her breasts. He looks alarmed as I push him off of her requiring minimal force, sending him straight to the ground. Caroline gasps, stopping me from doing anything else. The loser runs off somewhere, and my attention now darts back to the angry blonde standing in front of me.

"What the hell Klaus?!" she yells in my face. I don't flinch, causing her to be even more mad.

"I was protecting you. That bastard was taking advantage of you, Caroline. You're drunk, you don't know what you're doing," I respond, a lot calmer then she is. Her face is red and fuming.

"Well stop! I don't want you to freaking protect me all the time! I can make my own decisions and I can protect myself," she argues before storming off. I almost turn around to leave her be before I realize she's drunk and mad and grieving. That was definitely not a good mix for Caroline Forbes.

I quickly chase after the young girl and find her nearly tripping over herself as she heads towards her car. Was she crazy?

"Caroline! What are you doing?" I call out to her, but she doesn't answer and instead climbs in. I open the door to where she is seated.

"You're drunk. You're not driving," I tell her. She rolls her eyes. I wish she would just realize I'm trying to help her and get over her stubborn ways.

"There you go making decisions for me again!" Caroline's face is beyond mad, she's fuming.

"I'm not making decisions for you. I'm giving you a choice. Drive yourself and potentially get in a car crash and kill someone- or let me drive you home, you won't even have to talk to me. I swear. I just need to know your safe," She looks at me, choosing her decision which really shouldn't be a hard one.

"Fine," she huffs and climbs into the passengers seat. I start her car after getting in.

"When we get to your house I was wondering if you could at least let me do you the decent favor of sleeping on the couch overnight," I suggest. Caroline looks as if I am joking.

"I thought you said it would be silent? And why would I ever let you stay the night in my house?" she scoffs. I sigh, pulling out of the crowded party.

"Because in the morning you will be feeling quite ill due to the amount you've chosen to drink, and I want to help you," I say honestly. She lets out a laugh of annoyance.
