Beyoncé sets sights on Oscar with heartbreaking story of 'bum woman' however....

She's hoping her tale of the "bum woman" could change that. It's these moments of her life and more that Beyoncé plans to bring out on the big screen.

The "Drunk In Love" hitmaker is reportedly keen to tell the story of Saartjie Baartman, a woman who was exhibited in freak shows in the 1800s for her large bottom, in a bid to bag an Academy Award and has hired a whole host of acting coaches and writers to make the movie happen.

And before you ask, this isn't a sequel to her Austin Powers cameo.

And it looks like Beyonce is just as devoted to the female derriere now as she was back then as it's been reported that the singing sensation is penning her own film, based on the story of Saartjie Baartman, a woman who was exhibited in the 1800s for her large bottom.

Saartjie - who originally hailed from South Africa - took the doctor to court after she claimed she'd been made to "perform" against her will.

It's probably going to be very sad and moving, so basically has OSCAR written all over it, really.

A source close to the project told The Mirror:"Beyonce is desperate to be taken seriously as an actress".

"Even though she's had a string of well-received movies, she still feels her breakthrough role is yet to come".

She believes that writing a screenplay and taking on the leading role will allow her to gain the respect of the film industry. But as an already accomplished artist in music, we know she'll be striving for perfection to hopefully win an Academy Award someday.

Well, good luck to you Beyoncé - we'll be first in line at the Odeon for it.
