Rumor has it that Beyonce is ready to drop a new album, but is waiting until Adele's record sales of 25 have died down. Although her new album was reportedly completed late last year, when Adele came out with the record-breaking 25, Beyonce decided to hold back due to a "code of honour" she has with Adele, reports the Mirror.
Now that 25 has done so well, Beyonce "has totally relaxed her schedule and pushed back her album," since she does not have the same pressure to release an album, which will be her sixth, like Adele. Now, the newest Beyonce album is "complete and ready to go," and has been ready for quite a while.
Beyonce, who will perform with Coldplay at Super Bowl 50, is expected to announce her new record during the famous half-time show. Of course, there's been no confirmation of this, but Beyonce fans have their fingers crossed anyway, and a Beyonce insider revealed that "there's a very strong chance the announcement could happen during the Super Bowl next month," reports the Mirror.
According to a source close to Beyonce, now that "Adele's sales are starting to die down, Beyonce is ready to drop her album at any time. To lead up to an album release, Beyonce "is doing bits here and there" to keep herself in the limelight since the "last few months have been all about her comeback." But Beyonce will continue to hold back just a bit longer "because she and her team know it is Adele's time to shine."
Cosmopolitan revealed that Beyonce wants Adele to have a little more time to enjoy her success before Beyonce takes over as queen again.
This will not be the first time Beyonce has used a large venue and audience to drop a news bomb on her fans. In 2013, Beyonce surprise-released her self-titled album when all 14 tracks along with their accompanying videos suddenly were released on iTunes. The album featured the hit song "Drunk In Love" and sold more than 500,000 copies in just 24 hours.
And let's not forget the time Beyonce dropped the news at the 2011 MTV Video Music Awards that she was expecting Blue Ivy! Although a rep for Beyonce has not yet confirmed a new album will be released soon, based on past behavior, believing that Beyonce will drop a new album at Super Bowl 50 is not unreasonable.
In the meantime, Adele has reportedly turned to Beyonce for advice about taking her son on tour with her. Adele will begin touring in Europe and America to support of her album 25, and will play 105 dates total. The signer is determined to bring her three year old son, Angelo, with her, just as Beyonce brings Blue Ivy with her everywhere.
According to the Belfast Telegraph, an Adele insider revealed the celebrity chanteuse is "taking advice from Beyonce and asking for tips." Beyonce has "told Adele to take the same bed with them everywhere" and advised to put the bed "in the hotel and tour bus, so Angelo has that familiarity wherever he is."
According to the insider, like Beyonce, Adele wants Angelo "to have the best experience possible without disrupting his routine," and plans to travel "with several nannies, including one who doubles as a pre-school teacher." The singer will also have "a separate bus that will play children's films."
While Beyonce and Adele appear to be gal pals, Beyonce is ready to reclaim her title as the queen of the music industry. Of course, since 25 has sold a record amount of albums, Beyonce might have to work a little harder to regain that crown.
