Chapter 13

Chapter 13- How could this happen?

After the fireworks ended, we started heading back to Sonic's. "chaos control"! Shadow yelled. and in a blink of an eye, we were there. we came just in the nick of time too, because the sun started to rise in the distance. We opened the door to see everyone, waiting for us. "we figured you two would go out late". said rouge giving me a wink. I blushed. "sophie, we have one more gift for you". I wore a surprise look on my face. Everyone then moved to the side and there layed a karaoke machine. I wore a pale face. "shadow told us that you could sing". said amy. "is that true"? I then shook my head in embarrassment. "don't be embarrassed". "I'm sure you sing like an angel". said blaze. "she does". added shadow. I then blushed a dark red all across my face. "prove it". said sonic handing me a mic. "ok". I said nervously. I went in the middle of the living room and everyone sat down and watched me as i sang [my heart will go on] by Celine Dion. Everyone wore surprised looks on their faces as i sang through the song. when i finished, everyone then sat there in shock, even shadow. (and he heard me before). Everyone then stood up while clapping and cheering. I then noticed that i was still in my outfit from last night. "excuse me for one moment". I said heading up stairs. I arrived at my room and i heard someone in there. I cracked it to make sure it was not danger. I then saw Manic (Sonic's brother), in my room, going through my stuff. "HEY"!  "What are you doing"? I yelled loud enough to frighten him. "whoa, chill out dude". "I was looking for Sonic's room to see if he had extra drumsticks for me to have". I then glared at him. "you know every right that this is not Sonic's room, because it's full of girl clothes"! Manic just smiled. "I knew that 3 minutes ago. He then pulled out my sonic shirts out of my drawers. "whoa, are these yours"? he asked. "put them away, manic". I fussed. "come on, have a little fun". He then pushed me and i felt unbalanced. I then tried to push him back, but he did it so fast, that I fell on top of him and my lips hit his. He grabbed my waist and wouldn't let go, so i couldn't stop kissing him. I then saw someone shoot chaos energy at the ground, beside us. Manic let go and i turned around to see a angry, yet very depressed shadow, starring at us. "Shadow"! I yelled. Shadow then turned around and went down stairs in a walking, fast motion. "Shadow Wait"! I yelled following him downstairs. Everyone watched Shadow leave the house. "what's wrong with him"? asked sonic. "go ask your stupid brother". i said chasing shadow. "Don't talk to me or follow me"! Shadow cruelly said. "but shadow, it's not what you think". "I think that sorry excuse for a hedgehog, was making out with my girl"! He yelled with fury. I then looked away. "It was an accident shadow, you got to believe me". "well, I DON'T"! he said with venom spilling out of his voice. "I should have known not to fall for anyone, especially a stupid human"! I then got offended. "What are you saying"? Shadow then turned away. "I'm saying that maybe we should dismiss". I then shook my head in denial. "Go join your boyfriend". Shadow then covered his mouth. I then caught what he said and my sadness turned to anger. "That wasn't suppose to come out". shadow said. "I wish i never met you"! I yelled and threw a rock at him. "I hope eggman comes and locks you away"! I screamed again. "Why don't you join your girlfriend"? "oh wait, you can't"! "Ultimate Life form"! I yelled once more. "Goodbye Shadow". Shadow then held something in his hands. It was my song I wrote for him a while back. "I guess I don't need this anymore". he said and tore it up. I fell to my knees and began to cry. Shadow walked past me. "you really are a monster". I said. Shadow then turned to the side as he saw me hold the pieces of the ripped in my hands. Shadow then disappeared with the chaos emerald. I sat there for hours until it turned to 12 noun. I was still trying to take in what had happened. "I thought my life would get better if i came here, but i guess i was wrong". I said to myself. I then went farther in the forest and sat down back at the fountain. I started to look in the fountain and thought about all my memories. I then thought  of shadow most of all. "is he more special to me than i thought"? I thought to myself. I then heard amy's voice coming closer to me. I also heard blaze by her side. I didn't look at either of them, for i was going through  a lot of pain. "Are you okay"? asked blaze. "We were worried sick about you"! yelled amy giving me a hug.  I just sat there, not showing a bit of happiness. "what happened"? "All we know is that Shadow was really mad and we didn't see you come back". said amy. "All i can say is that who would ever love a stupid human like me"? I said building up tears. Amy and Blaze wore very sad faces. "Sophie, that is not true"! Amy and Blaze then grabbed my arms and pulled me away from the fountain. "I can walk". I said as we three walked back to Sonic's house without a single word. I then saw Manic and Sonia come out of the house with Sonic. ( I guess he was giving them a tour of the house. Well, i'm about to give Manic a tour of my fist). "MANIC"! I yelled. "uh oh". he said as he backed up. I chaos controlled behind him and punched in the back of the head. "Sophie"! "What are you doing"? panicked Sonic and Sonia. I kept punching him in his stomach and Amy and Blaze started holding me back. Everyone came running outside. "What's wrong with you"? asked tails." "Your gonna beat someone else up"? asked charmy. I then pushed Manic on the ground and started stomping towards charmy. Charmy became scared. "If i were you, i would shut my mouth before i put my fist through it"! Everyone then backed up. I then saw Shadow, watching me from the living room. "Chaos Control"! I yelled and disappeared. I arrived in my room and locked my door. I then grabbed a suitcase and began to pack. After I was done, I waited to see if anybody was there watching from outside. i then wrote a note and left it on my bed. "goodbye". I said to myself. I then grabbed a chaos emerald and vanished in the forest. ( I was thinking about going home, but where would i go)? I started walking further and further into the forest but then heard someone near me. I looked around and saw no one. I kept walking but then still heard someone around me. I then slammed my stuff down. "ok, whoever you are, come out"! I yelled. "My My My". "someone is very ill today". I then turned around and my eyes opened widely. There in front of me, was a black and grey porcupine. "What'? "never seen a talking porcupine before"? I stood there in shock. "My name is Jeff Mingleton". he said evilly. "what do you want"? I said cruelly. "you". he said. "what"? I said. all of a sudden, Jeff put a gun to my head. (this feels like it should have happened with shadow). "Move it"! he yelled and led me to an abandoned shed. There was a machine that looked like an escape pod. "get in there"! he yelled as he pushed me in there. He then locked it and i was freaking out. "let me out"! Mingleton then pressed a few buttons and the machine started to glow. It started shocking me. "Ahhh"! "Stop it"! I then fell to my knees and felt pain all over my body. I then remembered the chaos emerald. I took it out of my pocket and used all my strength to say "Chaos Control"! "NO"! yelled Jeff Mingleton as I vanished in a bright light. I then reappeared in front of a secret base where i was grabbed by robots. "Hello again, girl". "Or should i say.... Chosen One". I then became frighten. "I have something i need to show you". he said with an evil smirk at the end. He then led me inside his secret base, with the robots grip on me. I then saw a room, full of weapons. The robots then led me to a bed. "get on the bed or else"! yelled eggman. "or else what"? I asked. "or else this". "SURPRISE"! he yelled as he opened a door and two robots came out, holding onto a little girl, who was tied up. "Tina"? i asked. "Sophie"! she yelled. "your alive". "I know, you too". I then turned to eggman. "Get on the bed or i'll hurt your sister". I looked back at my sister who was really scared and then i looked at eggman. "Ok". I then got on the bed and i was strapped down, but I didn't show scaredness of any kind.  I then started to feel hotter and hairer for some reason. My sister kept looking at me. I then felt something pop up on top of my head. Eggman wore a shock expression. "well, wanting a new look, are we"? I was confused and then eggman started up his machine.   Shadow's point-of-view: I can't believe what i saw. Sophie actually hurt someone n purpose. "hey, shadow". said the voice of amy. "hey". I just sat on the couch depressed. "c'mon shadow, go talk to sophie". "no, she's a cheater"! Amy then smacked me in the back of the head. "ow, what the...."? "no, she's not". she yelled. "how do you know"? "because Manic's the real cheater". said the voice of Sonic coming in the living room with him in front of Manic and Sonia behind him.  "What do you mean"? I asked. "tell him manic". said Sonic. "Tell me what"? I asked. Manic then cleared his throat. "Well, you see, I like sophie". "So i had to make a plan to get me and her alone, because I knew she was taken". "Anyway, i was going through her stuff in her room and she came in and saw me". "We broke out in conversation and i pushed her and made her fall on me". My eyes opened up widely. "After she fell on me, I held her waist and wouldn't let go, so she could continue to kiss me". "Anyway, i'm really sorry dude". I was full of rage. "Who do you think you are for pulling a stunt like that, silver"?  "HEY"! yelled out silver. "I should.....". I then paused and my eyes went wide. "oh no". "What have i done"? I said looking upstairs. Amy then came to my side. "I'll help you". "Thank you, Amy". We headed upstairs and knocked on her door. "Sophie, can we talk for a second"? I asked but no reply. "please sophie, let us in". Amy said but still no answer. We knew something was wrong. I was then going to break down the door. "CHAOS...". "Wait". said amy. "I have a key". She then unlocked it and we stumbled inside.    Normal point-of-view: "All done". said eggman coming over to me. He then held a type of pill in his hand. He then dropped it in my mouth and i was forced to swallow it. "I have to do this for my sister". I thought to myself. I then felt dizzy. "now i can operate on you". "w-what"? with my head hurting and feeling weak. "you have power, I must drain it from you". He then started up a machine with a drill. I then showed my scaredness all across my face.    Sonic's point-of-view: "Why did you do that"? asked Sonia. I was really disappointed in Manic. "That doesn't seem to be the Manic that I grew up with". I said crossing my arms. We then stood there in silence until Amy and Shadow ran downstairs. "Everyone come quick"! she yelled. "What's the matter, amy"? i asked. "It's sophie, she's gone"! Everyone then came running in the living room. "Why did she leave"? asked knuckles. I then saw Shadow tearing up. (wow, that's a first). "it's all my fault"! "Sophie is probably out there hurt, because of me"! Shadow then turned around so he wouldn't be facing us. "I couldn't live with myself if something happened to her". "I....I....". Shadow then stopped talking and back around with wide eyes. "I know how to find her". he said. He then pulled out a tracker and put in a coordinate. "I've got her"! he yelled. "C'mon faker". he yelled as he ran out the door. "Silver, lets go". I said. "Right". he agreed. Then the three of us stopped as Shadow pulled out a chaos emerald. "CHAOS CONTROL"! he yelled and we vanished.    Normal point-of-view: "After I drill inside you, I'll start sucking your power". I was really scared now. I struggled to get free, but it was no use. It then came closer and closer to me. "Sophie"! Tina yelled. "CHAOS BLAST"! Then all of a sudden, a blast of energy, hit eggman's controller. I then looked to my right to see Sonic, Shadow, and Silver, ready to fight. Eggman's machine then mal-functioned. "NO"! he yelled. I then felt even more dizzy. "Shadow". I said feeling weak. All three hedgehogs looked at me with shocking expressions. "That can't be...". Then the base began to shake. "Farewell". yelled eggman on his egg craft, flying away. Silver ran over to Tina and picked her up. "Hurry Shadow". said sonic. "The base is about to explode"! Just like that, I passed out. (what a surprise. we all didn't see that coming).
