Chapter 14

chapter 14- could it be?

I was in total darkness until all of my memories popped up everywhere, circling me. I then saw me and Shadow meeting each other for the first time. I saw all my memories of him, even the very last one of me and him fighting. I started to cry. I then opened my eyes and found myself back at Sonic's house, lying on his couch. Everyone was sitting all around me in total shock. I felt my face full of tears. (Something did not feel right about me). "this can't possibly be sophie". said charmy. "What are you talking about"? i asked. I then looked at my hand. "What the..."? It was yellow and fury. I looked in the nearest mirror and screamed. "I'm a hedgehog"! I yelled. I had turned into a yellow hedgehog. "Did eggman turn you into a hedgehog"? asked tails. I shook my head no. "Eggman was in total shock when he saw me, but i didn't know why". "now i know". I said still in shock. "If eggman didn't do it, then who did"? I shrugged my shoulders at first, but then remembered what happened before. "Oh" I said to myself. "Oh, what"? asked knuckles. I then stood up "Silver, Blaze"? "yes"? they both said. "What does the porcupine want, anyway"? I asked. "I guess power". said silver. "uh huh"? i replied. "why"? asked Blaze. "Because he kidnapped me while i ran away and locked me in a machine". "WHAT"!?!? said everyone. "it started to shock me and it was glowing". "how did you escape"? asked sonic. "with the chaos emerald". "oh". sonic said in understanding. "that's how i ended up at eggman's base". "because it was the closest thing by to get away from the porcupine". "but why eggman's base"? asked knuckles. "I was trying to get away and the chaos emerald took me there". I the started to get irritated. "can we please change the subject"? i asked crossing my arms. "sure, shadow needs to talk to you anyway". "Sh-shadow"? i stuttered. I then saw shadow come out of the shadows, once again, and stood by my side. I became scared of what he would say or do. Shadow then held my hand and pulled out a chaos emerald. "CHAOS CONTROL"! he yelled. We then ended up in Shadow's room. I stood up, with my legs shaking, controllably. "lets talk". he said closing the door and walking towards me. I then sat down on his bed and began to cry. Shadow looked at me with a shocked expression. "Why are you crying"? I then continued to cry. "I'm sorry Shadow". "I an a jerk and stupid"! "You have every right to finish me off"! I yelled. Shadow then grabbed my hand and pulled me up where i was looking up at him. (now that i'm a hedgehog, i'm smaller than him). He then held my hands and looked at me straight in the eyes. "Sophie, I was wrong and i'm sorry". "The worst mistake was not trusting you". I then looked away. "I won't make that mistake again". I then kissed him. "I will always love you". he said hugging me. More tears fell. "Same here". I then remembered something important "TINA"! I then began to panic. "Who"? asked shadow. "my sister"! Shadow then looked confused. "but i thought, you know". he said turning away. "I know but somehow she survived and eggman kidnapped her"! I then ran downstairs. "Sophie". said shadow but i continued to run and then bumped into sonic. "Oh, hello there". he said smart like. "Save it for later". I said back at him. "I need to find my sister". "She's safe". he responded. "We rescued her in time". said silver turning to the side, showing tina. "SOPHIE"! "TINA"! We ran up to each other and hugged. "how did you live"? i asked. Tina then stopped hugging me and cleared her throat "well, i was at my friends house at the time". she said with wide eyes. "I walked home the next day to see the house gone". "I thought everyone was killed, including you". I then wore a sad look on my face. "Then all of a sudden, that guy, what do you call him, uh....Eggbeat". "Eggman". I corrected her. "you are clearly not a sonic fan". i joked. "yeah, i'm more of a Twilight fan". I rolled my eyes. "Anyway, we should try to find a way back home, sophie". I then looked away. "you are coming home, right"? "There's no home to come to". I said shedding a tear. "Besides, i have a boyfriend". Tina's eyes opened up widely. "oh really"? "wow, who is it"? Shadow then stepped out from behind me and looked at her. "That would be me". She then almost fainted. "I'm Shadow, Shadow the Hedgehog". he introduced. "Wow, you are.....HOT"! she admitted. "DON'T YOU EVEN"! I cautioned. Tina then looked away "don't worry, i won't take your man from you". I then walked closer to her "good". I then whispered in her ear "besides, i think you have a secret admirer". We both turned around to see tails, starring at her. He then looked away, blushing and we both laughed. Tina then made a serious face. "look, I know that you like them and all, but we can't stay here". I then glared at her. "and why not"? "Because their not our family". I then wore a angry/shocked look on my face. "YES THEY ARE"! "They are my family and I love them". Tina then looked away. "We can make a new life here". "Don't you understand"? Tina then sheded a tear. "I see....". "you chose them over me". "have you lost your marbles, tina"? She then glared at me. "no, you have to choose". "them or me"? Everyone then starred at me, including shadow. (i am on the spot). "well, ......". Then all of a sudden, a giant claw grabbed tina and pulled her away. "TINA"! I yelled running out of the house. "Stop eggman"! But when i looked up, it was a pink fox, with purple stripes, on a giant robot. I was then grabbed from behind me and someone put a gun to my head. "Hello again". said Jeff Mingleton. Shadow and the tried to come, but Jeff was about to pull the trigger. "let her go"! yelled Shadow. "no can do". he replied back. "If you even think about coming closer, I'll blast her to pieces"! I then shook with fear. Jeff then started backing up and then someone yelled "Chaos Blast"! and blasted Jeff Mingleton in the back of the head. Jeff and i fell and he disappeared. The robots then blasted off. "TINA"! I yelled as she blasted away. "Help me, sophie"! They then vanished in a puff of smoke. "oh no". I said.  I then saw a shadowy figure in the smoke around us. "Thank you for saving me, shadow". I said to the figure, but then i saw everyone behind me, including shadow". "I didn't do it". he responded. "We couldn't". answered silver. I turned back around as the smoke cleared to see a familiar face. My eyes opened up wide and began to water. "Brad"! I yelled. "it can't be". He then ran over to me and i did the same. We then crashed into a hug. "But you died"? I said with more tears. "Someone brought me back to life and now i'm here". I then turned around to see everyone running up to him, except Shadow. "Everyone, this is Brad Foster". I introduced. Shadow then turned around and started walking away. "We can finally be together again". Brad said. He then tried to kiss me, but i pushed back. "no, we can't". I answered back. Everyone looked shocked. I then turned to Shadow, who was walking away. I then ran to him and grabbed his hand. Shadow turned around and i saw him shedding a few tears. "I don't wanna leave you shadow". I admitted. "I.....love you". Shadow then hugged me. I turned around to see brad right in front of me. (too close). He then grabbed my arm. "you will be with me"! "whether you like it or not"! he yelled. "let go brad"! I yelled. Brad's eyes then turned red as he tighten his grip on my wrist. "ow". I yelped. Shadow then kicked brad, making him fall flat on his back. We then saw a chip on the ground. i picked it up. "property of Eggman". said shadow jumping in front of me. "no, it can't be". Brad then got back up and he blasted Shadow in the wall. "SHADOW"! i yelled. Silver then started levitating cars and other objects at brad. I then focused my energy. "Chaos...". "Blast"! finished Shadow at my side as we both blasted the robot. Pieces of brad went everywhere. I then fell to my knee. "I thought it was him". I said looking down. Shadow put his hand on my shoulder and i looked at him. "I'm sorry, sophie". I then stood up and hugged him. "I want you to know that no matter what,  i will always be with you". he said. "and i want you to know that i will never leave you, even for brad". We then kissed. "Oh"! i yelled. "we need to go rescue my sister". I announced. "but where do we start"? asked knuckles. I then wore a blank expression. "I don't know". "I do". answered silver. We all looked at him surprised. "i hid a tracker on him when he wasn't looking". Silver then started up his tracker. "got e'm". "let's go". said sonic. We then all ran down the street. "shouldn't we chaos control there"? I asked. "no, that will give us away". answered tails. "oh". i said.
