Friday.
Finally, after spending the whole week being ignored; Aedda was able to go home and spend her weekends in peace. Ever since Jungkook had that conversation with his friends, he wasn't talking much. At first, Aedda tried to make conversation, even ending up walking with him to their apartments. That was the only time Jungkook relaxed, and opened up. He told her about the things he has to deal with; starting from Min Hee's whining to him taking over his father's business. Aedda didn't ask many questions, mainly because she thought it would be best to not push him. Jungkook was finally opening up to her, and she felt happy.
However, the story was very different in school. Jungkook wouldn't try to converse in school, leaving Aedda confused at his bipolar behaviour. At lunch, Taehyung and Jimin would come to their classroom and, politely, ask to be left in private. Meanwhile, Baekhyun was doing his best to stop his best friend from thinking about the reckless boy.
So, Friday finally came and Jungkook told Aedda he was going over to his friend's. Aedda watched him leave the classroom, thinking about whether or not she should go with Baekhyun. But before she could think it over, she received a text from her mother:
Please go grocery shopping, the list and money are in your bag. Try to not get lost!
Omma
Aedda sighed. She only knew one convenience store, which was the one Jungkook went to. She got the list out, wondering how she didn't notice it before, and made her way to the store.
There, Aedda found everything that was on the list- which were just vegetables and fruit juice. Aedda groaned internally, why would she make me go shopping for vegetables? Fortunately, she still had some money left; so she decided to buy herself some cinnamon buns.
After paying the cashier, Aedda walked out and saw that it was already dark. Damn it, I might actually get lost, she cursed her luck. Following, what she thought was, the right path; the girl didn't realise three other girls, with the same school uniform, following her. Turning into an alley, Aedda saw the girls, completely walking past them. One of the girls, Sa Hee, was the queenka of the high school- but of course, there's no way Aedda knew that. Sa Hee and the other two girls, whose names are unimportant, started making rude comments:
"Oh look Sa Hee, it's that girl that's been hanging out with Baekhyun." One of the girls sneered, following Aedda.
"Yeah, I heard that she's trying to get with Jungkook. What a dumbass, everyone knows he's yours Sa Hee." The other commented, but no response from the target. Sa Hee was getting irritated, how dare a nobody steal her Jungkook, and then ignore her? She had enough. She whispered into one of the other girl's ears, who nodded and stepped closer to Aedda. She came closer until her hands reached the girls hair and pulled her down on the dirty floor.
Aedda gasped, in no time was there a girl (whom she didn't know) in her face and smirking.
"So you're the girl that's been stealing my Jungkook? And then you dare spend time with Baekhyun? Sluts like you shouldn't be able to live easily." Sa Hee backed away, nodding to the other two. They started laughing and one grabbed her hair again, slamming her to the wall.
Aedda whimpered in pain, "please, someone.... Help." She was once again on the floor, being kicked in the stomach and back.
"What is going on here?" A familiar voice called out, coming closer. Aedda could see the figure of her best friend, although a bit blurry, and smiled. She closed her eyes and let the shouting fade as she fell into the darkness.
