"I watched you sky rocket away from me.  Will you ever come back, or did you find another galaxy far from here?"

Today was about just as boring as yesterday, then again I don't know what I expected really. I saw John 4th period in Social Studies but he didn't say anything to me.  Although he tried to manage a smile at me, it wasn't much but I took it.  I wonder why he's acting like this, it's so much better when he's bright and laughing.

At lunch I started to head over to the Weeping Willow that I met John at yesterday.  Emphasis on started

It was like I traveled back to this morning because, shocker, Vriska wanted me to hang with her friends.  I try saying no again, and, like I predicted, she wasn't going to take no for an answer this time.

"Just let me go, I'm not going to sit by you and your group of so called friends. Like anyone would even be friends with you."  I finally snapped, mumbling the last sentence.

"Hahahahahahahaha. It's funny that you think you have a choice in this, little lover 8oy. Whether you like it or not, you're going to sit 8y us." She snarled back. I laughed quietly and simply shrugged her hand off of my shoulder.

After walking a good three feet or so, there was yet again a hand holding me back.  I knew it was Vriska so I didn't bother spinning myself around.  Shrugging her hand off my shoulder yet again, I kept walking to my destination, to John.

I got probably another good four feet until two pairs of hands gripped my shoulders firmly, making sure I couldn't squirm away from them.  I let out a defeated sigh as the two random men led my to the table I now had to sit at.  As I sat down, the strangers left and I looked back at the tree longingly, I wanted to just get up and bolt there, go over by John.  However, I knew little miss Spiderbitch wouldn't let me leave that easily.  She wasn't just a bitch, but a persistent bitch for that matter.

I didn't eat much, but I did drink a bottle of apple juice I brought with me.  Vriska introduced me to all her "friends", but I didn't pay much attention to memorizing their names.  Gog knows I probably won't ever need to actually talk to them.  Before I knew it, the bell finally rang, and I was finally free.  I made a mad dash to my locker and to Study Hall, which was on the opposite side of the building.

This day just keeps getting better an better...

Once the bell finally rang, our Social Studies teacher dismissed us to lunch, maybe I'll be able to talk and see what's up with Dave.  Just like yesterday, Dave was out the door before I could blink, leaving me to walk to my locker alone.

When I got to my usual spot, Dave wasn't there, but I didn't freak out, I just waited a few more minutes.  Something probably suddenly popped up, he said he wouldn't ditch me.  He wasn't lying to me, right?

I began growing impatient, Dave could be late, but he would never be this late.  Peaking out of the branches, I saw Dave.  Sitting right next to Vriska.

He promised he wouldn't ditch me, was he just giving me false hope?  What has Vriska told him??  Does he know my secret?  That would explain why he didn't meet me in the library, or has barely said a word to me at all today.

After a minute I couldn't see clearly, tears had blurred my vision and I ran back to the base of the tree.  I curled up into a ball and began crying, not even thinking about eating lunch.  A couple minutes before the bell rang I snuck into the bathrooms and made sure that I calmed myself down to at least make it seem I wasn't crying five minutes ago.  Not like anyone would ask anyway.

By the time my eyes got to a point that they weren't big, red, and puffy, the bell rang. I pushed the door open and started to head to my locker, alone.

5th period Art was boring per usual, and 6th period Study Hall I decided to go to the Library instead of the Music Room. There were a couple of kids on the few computers, but other than that it was practically empty. I snuck ink the back area that was hidden by the towering bookcases. No one bothered to go back this far, so I didn't have to worry about anyone finding me. I dropped onto the ground, leaning against one of the old bookcases. In a fit of sadness and frustration, I took of my beanie and chucked it away from me. I could feel tears threatening to flow from my eyes, but if I didn't want to be found, that did require me to be quiet.

I buried my head into my knees and threw my hands on top of my head. After a good 20 minutes, or at least that's what it felt like, I raised my head back up and looked for my blue beanie. Once I spotted the hat, I shakily got up, walked towards it, and bent down to pick it up.

Finally when it was back upon my head, everything felt at balance, everything felt normal. I was all alone, and nobody would care to find me. It was all normal...

I had to bring a notebook with me to be able to come down here, so I decided to look through all my notes and random doodles across the 90 page book. Carelessly skimming through it, I came across a little note on a dark blue piece of paper. It was crumpled up and wrinkled, so it didn't strike me as something new. I took the note out of the notebook and read what it had to say.

"Hi future me! How is life treating you? In case you don't remember writing this, I'm 8 right now, a proud 3rd grader! I don't blame you if you don't remember, we must be a pretty busy guy in the future. Today is 4/13, my, or our, birthday! I can't wait to get to high school and be done with school, I'm scared people are going to find out. That I'll accidentally let people get close to me, and they'll find out, and drift off. Far, far away... But hopefully that doesn't happen, you would know the answer to this, right? Or maybe something like this will never happen... Oh well, I quite enjoyed writing this, bye!
~Present (Past) You/Me"

The tears that had retreated into my eyes had now started it fall. I did remember writing this. Even back then I was cautious and anxious about everything. Maybe not everything, but a lot. Although, I'm kind of glad the younger me didn't even think of the worse thing that could be happening to me, which is happening right now... I continued to stare at the note for a little while until I noticed a little arrow draw on the side of the paper. I flipped the card over and there was a couple more sentences of writing.

"P.S. I started to talk to this guy over this thing called pesterChum. His name is turntechGodhead, and he is really nice. He older than me by a couple months, but I really enjoy his company. I'm sure if anything, he'll always be by my side."

Oh the irony....
