Catherine's POV....
I walked down the sidewalk, going at a fast speed, homebound. I turn the corner sharp and bumped into someone I really don't want to see at the moment.
"Woah there Catherine."
I look up and I ran smack into Camden. I look at him and he just smiles at me. "Why are you so nice to me all of a sudden?"
"What?!?!" Camden spats at me.
"Like you comfort me more often and you don't treat me like crap, and you get really jealous a lot more often then, when we dated." I say.
Phillips just looks at me and has a questioning smile on her face. "What do you mean Catherine? I got pretty jealous when Ethan Brackett kissed you on the football field."
Then, I turn pale. "You saw that?"
"Yah, but it's in the past. I saw, got mad, and walked out."
" I wish you would have stopped Ethan." I mumble recalling the day in my head.
"What do you mean?" He says, as we round the street down our street.
"I screamed and screamed for hours in that parking lot when he and his buddies ganged up on me and beat the living sh*t out of me. Then, when I saw you I knew you would save me. I yelled at you but once Ethan saw what I was doing he kissed me. Once he let me go and they all locked me in under the football field and ran. I was down there for three weeks. I just cried and beat myself up about all the hurt I caused you. After all you had done for me, I hurt you and Scotty more."
Camden stops in his tracks and looks back at me, "Catherine I am so sorry."
He takes my hand and looks at me. "Catherine, Can you forgive me?"
I smile. "Yes, Camden. I forgive you."
We stop at the sidewalk of my house and I see my parents aren't home.
I guess I shiver because Camden removes his letter jacket as gives it to me.
"Thanks." I mumble.
"Your welcome." He mumbles back.
I go to walk up my drive but then, I get an idea. "Hey, Camden. Do you want to come with me to the movies?"
He looks at me curiously. "Like a date?"
"No. Like just as friends." I say and Camden's face has fallen.
"Oh, yah. I like to go with you, Catherine. As.... As friends." He chocks out.
"Okay great."
"Uhm, can I pick you up at 7?" He asks.
"Sure seven is fine." I say.
"Okay, bye."
"Bye." I shut my door and I think about what I just did.
'Was that right or had I just screwed up me and Bertram's relationship?'
I shrug the thought away and go get ready to hang out with my friend.
