Chapter 18: Sunset Double Date

December 28, 2013, Saturday

*~~Zack's P.O.V.~~*

I wake up and see sunlight. What the hell? Why am I outdoors and why does my right arm feel numb? I look to my right arm to see my angel there. Yup, I'm not moving, and you can't make me. Honestly, I didn't plan for us to sleep here, it feels weird sleeping with actual clothes on.

I can't help but stare at Juliet sleeping. She really does look like an angel, yesterday's events bring a smile on my face. My phone starts ringing,

"Hey Mad---"

"DO YOU KNOW WHERE JULIET IS? SHE'S NOT IN HER BED AND HER PHONE IS IN HER BEDROOM, I'M WORRIED SICK! MATT DOESN'T EVEN KNOW WHERE SHE IS."

Shoot, I'm dead, she nearly "killed" me the other day, when I stole a yogurt for Juliet. "Um, Juliet is with me."

"Oh my god, really thank god. You could've left me a message. I went to the neighbor's house in my nightgown! It was very embarrassing." With that response, I don't think she'll "kill" me.

I felt Juliet stir, "Zack? Oh the sun." She groans at the sunlight, then buries her face in my chest, hiding from the sun.

I chuckled, I'll remember that, she doesn't like the sun in the morning, then I whispered to her ear, "Maddie has been worried about you. You didn't bring your phone?"

"How could I when you just said, 'Jump, I'll catch you, I promise.'" I laughed at her imitation of me. She even tried to do that deep voice thingy.

"My voice isn't like that." I say as I poke her cheek.

"You're right, you're voice is sexier." She gives me a wink and gets up. When she sees my shocked expression she laughs and pulls me up, to give me a kiss on the cheek. Juliet is so adorable.

"Well you're voice is sweet, sweeter than a baby's cooing. And you know their cooing is adorable." I know, I know, baby's cooing? What the hell is wrong with me, but it's true I find them adorable.

Juliet starts laughing and placed my hand in hers, "Come on loverboy, let's get to your house. I need to brush my teeth!"

"Hah! My rock skipped higher than yours! I win, honey!" Juliet squeals. I just lost to Juliet on that rock bouncing through the water game.

Currently, Juliet, Matt, Maddie, and I are at the beach. Why? Here's a flashback:

*Flashback, when Zack dropped Juliet off to her house in the morning*

Maddie jumped on the couch when she saw Juliet and I come into her house, "About time, you two came! Really? Having a midnight date that turns into a sleepover under the stars? I mean that's cool, but you could've left me a message! As repentance, we will go on a double date on the beach at sunset! NO BUTS, and I'm not talking about the butt with two t's, but that's not acceptable either! Wow so much but/butts in a sentence."

*End of Flashback*

We knew we couldn't say no, and it's a nice day for the beach.

I pulled Juliet up with me and walked back to our umbrella, "I lost on purpose."

Juliet smacked me in the arm, "Yeah right, don't cry loverboy, I still love you." If only she loved me like I loved her.

"Zack what's wrong, you're not saying anything, and your eyes look sad."

I turned my face away, "Nothing, you hungry?"

*~~Juliet's P.O.V.~~*

Zack seemed tensed after I said 'Yeah right, don't cry loverboy, I still love you.' I'm sitting, holding my knees to my face, and watching Zack. His feet are in the water.

After awhile Matt asks Maddie, "Okay babe, you never told me why we are here. As much as I love being with you, I can't figure out what's in your mind, spill, please."

"Gladly, I thought it'd be romantic if we could watch the sunset. Hehe, I had a dream~." Maddie says as she kisses Matt.

Zack smiles at Maddie's answer, then pulls me to his lap and fills my face with butterfly kisses. Last night still gets me blushing, his sweet words still ring through my ears:
You're so sweet, like an addiction. I can't get enough of you, Juliet. What are you doing to me?

"Is last night's event making you blush, honey?" I feel Zack's breath on my ear. Then feel his lips on the soft spot behind my ear. A moan slips out of my mouth. Shoot, I cover my mouth with my hands instantly. Zack, Matt, and Maddie looked shock. But Zack was the one who quickly wiped the shocked expression with an amused expression, then held me tighter against him.

"Woah there you two, watching people have sex isn't my thing. I like having sex not watching." Matt says and earns a playful smack on the back from Maddie.

Zack counters back, "Says the one who can't hold it in his pants to the bedroom." I couldn't help but laugh, Maddie was blushing.

Matt's jaw dropped, but he recovered, "Ok, ok, yes Maddie looked beautiful and she finally said yes to being mine. I can't help but take her right there. I mean who the hell is sane enough to do that? Not me." Matt grabbed Maddie into a hug, she was blushing like crazy. Now that's new, usually I'm the one blushing so much. Zack was laughing with me.

"I was playing video games all day, Maddie your sunset idea is brilliant." Zack said trying to cheer her up.

Then we watched the sunset, it was so beautiful. I know so cliché right? But it's nice, watching this beautiful scene with three of my favorite people is a memory drilled into my brain.
