Chapter 30: Babies
May 30, 2014, Friday
*~~Zack's P.O.V.~~*
~French Class~
The bell rings, "Okay class, you heard that. The bell rang, it was a pleasure to have you all in my class. Profitez de votre été~! (Enjoy your summer~!)" Ms. Vongoria dismisses us.
Juliet grabbed my face, when we reached my car. "Zack, we did it!" She kissed me and I kissed her back. I ripped my lips from hers and said, "Yeah I know, after four months, we'll be in our third year of college." And then I swooped my face down to kiss her again.
"Ahem, you know we only came here to congratulate you two, but if you're going to have a make out session in public, then we're leaving." Matt said holding up flowers, causing Juliet and me to laugh.
Matt and Maddie's last day was yesterday, they don't have many classes on Friday. And I thought college ended on June 1st, my bad.On our way to my house, my phone rang, "Hey Blaze."
"Zack, you're finally an uncle! You're sister just gave birth to our two angel girls. They look truly beautiful. Carolyn told me to tell you to bring Maddie, Matt, Juliet, and yourself to the hospital as soon as you can."
I was surprised, "It's about time, she was past her due date and I was worried."
"I know, I was too. Zack I'll talk to you when you get here, Carolyn is crying tears of joy."
I hung up, "I'm an uncle now, who wants to see my nieces."
"ME!" Matt and Maddie shouted from the backseat and Juliet was so happy.
~Hospital~
I was holding Amy Wilde, my first niece who was born three minutes before Helen Wilde.
"Are babies supposed to be this small? I can't get use to the smallness." I asked Carolyn and she and Juliet giggled.
Juliet clutched my arm, "Silly, of course babies are this small. Amy seems smaller in your arms because you're too tall. Carolyn may I carry your baby, again?"
Carolyn nodded her head, "Of course, here's Ms. Helen Wilde, I just fed her. Now hand me Amy, please Zack."
Of course I handed my niece to my older sister and watched Juliet hold Helen. Juliet looked more beautiful than ever, she smiled at little Helen and was cooing to her. I was in complete awe. Juliet looked up and asked 'what' confused at my expression.
I shook my head, "Nothing, it's just that you look so beautiful." And Juliet blushed, I don't know why she blushes every time I compliment her, because it's true. She mumbles a 'thank you' and hands the baby to Matt.
Maddie pointed at me, "You see right there, is perfect. You are so honest. I mean most guys stare at their girlfriends and the girlfriend goes like 'what' and then the guy just says 'nothing'. But it's obvious the guy was thinking that his girlfriend was beautiful or adorable or something, but the guy would never say it. He'd just stare at the girl like an idiot and not say anything, which would piss his girlfriend off."
I honestly had no clue what Maddie was talking about. She confused me, but I looked over at Juliet to see her blushing. I was going to say something, when the nurse came and said visiting hours or over. Well that sucked, Carolyn gave me a kiss on the cheek and we left.
Juliet and I went to 'Candy Park' when we returned from the hospital. She rushed to the swings, I don't know why, the place was empty. Juliet could've walked at a turtle's pace and she would still be able to claim a swing. It was pretty funny how Juliet was trying to push herself but couldn't.
Juliet pleaded me, "Zack, can you give me a push? I just need a starting push, please. Stupid swings."I chuckle and decide to tease her so I give her a soft push. And then she cries out, "No Zack, what kind of a push is that. That's worse than what I tried to do. A baby can do better than---" I cut her off by pushing her really high this time. I couldn't help but laugh at her squealing.
I stepped back and watched her fly, "Should I give you another push, angel?"
Juliet grinned at me, "No, thank you. I think I'm going to vomit if you do it again." I smiled at her, then stopped her swing to kiss her. I could feel her smile as I kissed her.
When I pulled away, Juliet asked, "A kiss out of the blue?"
I took a seat on the swing next to her, "Are you saying I can't kiss my girlfriend?"
"No, of course not! I'm just playing with you, only idiots would say no to your kisses."
"It's ok if they choose to be idiots, because the only person I'm going to be kissing is you."
Right on cue, Juliet blushed and I kissed her again.~That Night~
Juliet and I decided to go to my 'peace' lake to watch the stars. Juliet got up from her spot, laid her head on the crook of my neck, and then placed her hand on my chest. I wrapped my left arm around her and then she spoke,
"You have the most adorable nieces I have seen in a long time."I laughed, "I thought so too. Blaze and Carolyn are more happy, though they may be younger than the average to have babies, but it's their happiness that counts."
Juliet gripped my hand then said, "If we ever have kids, we should name one of them Zakaria." And then she giggled.
I scoffed, "Poor child would send death glares to Matt forever."
Juliet poked me, "Of course I'm kidding loverboy. We're still young, we don't need to worry about names for babies, yet. Right now, we just need to enjoy the beautiful scenery of the twinkling stars."
I hummed in response and we watched the stars.~
Juliet and I must've fallen asleep, talking and watching the stars. Juliet looked too peaceful so I didn't wake her up. I carried her to my car, picked up our things, then drove to my place. I sent Maddie a text telling her that Juliet's staying the night with me, don't want her banging on the neighbor's door, in a night gown, again.
When we reached my place, Juliet was still asleep so I carried her to my room. She stirred a bit, but fell back to sleep. Of course, I joined her in the slumber, I have the whole summer to spend time with my angel.
