Chapter 19: New Years

January 1, 2014, Wednesday

*~~Juliet's P.O.V.~~*

Na Na Na by My Chemical Romance starts playing. I shut my phone off and leap off the bed. I see Maddie still sleeping, so I pull her covers off her.

"IT'S NEW YEARS! HALLELUJAH!" I grab her hands then spin us around.

"OH MY GOD! THIS IS NOT GOOD FOR THE MORNING! I'M GETTING DIZZY!" Of course, I'm not that evil, so I stop. I give her a kiss on the cheek, "It's 2014, sista!"

Maddie seems to have finally opened her eyes, "Oh my god you're right!" She grabs me for a big hug and kisses my cheek. Then she pointed to the ceiling and said, "This beautiful event calls for a wonderful picnic at our park....what is that park's name?"

"I honestly have no clue, I'm going to call it Candy Park." Why candy? Because I love candy.

"You're a genius Juliet! Call the boys over and we'll go."

~At 'Candy' Park~

Zack is taking a nap on my lap, as Matt, Maddie, and I are talking about random stuff.

"IT'S 2014, BEAUTIFULZ! We should blow off fireworks at the night. It'd be cool. It's a good thing college is closed this week." Matt said as he poked Zack on the cheek. Which caused Zack to turn to the other side.

"Fireworks would be awesome, remember Mads when we went to Legoland last year. We went during the fourth of July and at the night, the fireworks looked so beautiful." I told them, taking a bite of my red apple.

"We all should go during the fourth of July. And Matt stop poking Zack!" Maddie said poking Matt back in the cheek.

Matt grinned, "I always used to poke Zack all the time when he was taking a nap, because I wanted to play with him. Carolyn would scold me. It was pretty funny, Zack's mother would always bake me cookies, so I would stop poking him. Then I played with his mother and Carolyn instead. You know I had a crush on Carolyn, I mean what guy/child wouldn't. You're 8 years old and you're best friend's sister is a total hottie at 13."

Zack grumbled and got up, "That's my sister you're talking about. My cheeks are so...I don't know, they kind of ache. It's like I'm 5 all over again." He started rubbing his cheeks. Maddie and Matt started laughing as I gave Zack two kisses for his cheeks. He smiled at me and took a bite out of my apple.

"Did you guys see what I made for you? Or did I leave it in my car?" Zack said looking around, "Shoot I left it in my car, I'll be back."

We all had a confused look and then Zack came back with a mini cooler. Maddie opened it and shrieked, "OH MY GOD! Zack I love you! But not the way that Juliet loves you, I have Matt." Caramel candy apples with nuts, oh my god, he made actually made caramel candy apples with nuts! I told him that I was craving these yesterday, is that why he made them? I give Zack a big smooch, "I love you so much!"

Zack smiled at me, "You were craving them yesterday, so I woke up early to make them. I don't know if Maddie or you are allergic to nuts or anything, so half of them don't have nuts. I only had green apples, sorry if you wanted the red apples." So that's why he's so sleepy.

Matt took one with nuts and bit into it, "Oh my gosh Zack, I think I just fell in love with your cooking. I should hire you as my cook. And please, no one likes red apples....except you and Juliet."
Maddie bites into one and groans in pleasure, "Thank you~! I love these candy caramel apples without nuts. But no I'm not allergic to nuts. And these are really good. I give you a 100 out of 10 stars!"
