Chapter 31: Meet Ava Night
November 3rd, 2014, Monday

A Place For My Head by Linkin Park rings from my phone. I groaned and got up, college starts today. Well, at least I have all my classes with Juliet. Next year I should get classes that start in the afternoon...or maybe I should get night classes...nah, the worst teachers are in night classes.
I trudge to my wardrobe, yank out clothes, then trudge to the bathroom. Cold showers are always good for the morning, then I brush my teeth. I walk to my kitchen to see Matt eating waffles.
With his mouth full Matt greeted me, "Hey mofo! College f*cking starts today!" Matt gulps down orange juice, then speaks again, "I made you waffles because you ran out of f*cking pancakes. Our college is full of sh*t, I mean last year it started on October 27, now November 3? What the f*ck right? Now finish your breakfast, we need to pick our ladies up."
I sat down and ate my plate of waffles, "Good morning to you too, hobo. You really should cut down your cussing."
Matt scoffed, "Pssht, Mr. Gentleman, I'll be fine, I don't cuss around woman."
I poked him with my fork, which is sticky with syrup, "Would you talk like that in front of your family?"
Matt thought about it then sighed, "No."
"Exactly, as punishment, you're cleaning all this up." I was almost done, so I just took the last waffle in my mouth and handed him my plate.
Matt laughed, "Alright, but you're doing the driving." I gave him a thumbs up and left to put my chucks on.

I started biting into my sandwich, when Matt and Maddie sat next to me.
"Where's your loverboy?" Matt asked, taking a bite into his green apple.
"Zack's in the restroom. Don't worry loverboy will return." I winked at Matt. Matt laughed then a girl came running to him.
The girl attacked Matt and squealed, "Matt, I missed you so much, even if it was for a year! Mom keeps complaining about her 'little boy', she really misses you! And Dad misses you, too, he always talks about how troublesome you are. But it's okay, we're back in Ohio!"
Matt laughed and ruffled her hair, "I missed you, too, baby sis! When did you guys move back?"
That was when Zack came back and the girl attacked him and kissed his cheek. "Zack! I missed you so much, you're a big time model now!"
Zack looked uncomfortable with the kiss, but hugged the girl, "Umm, hey Ava, I missed you, too. Do you still play dollies?"
Ava giggled, "Nope, when we moved to Los Angeles, I didn't have anyone to play with. You will always be my doll-playing-partner!"
Zack chuckled, "It seems so, look how much you grew. I'm surprised your mother let you have tattoos. Is it your first year here?"
Ava nodded, "First year and I only have this one tattoo on my hand." She held up her hand to reveal a shooting star on the side of her palm.
For some reason, I felt a pang of jealousy that this girl knew Zack longer than I did. And she seemed more Zack's type. I know I shouldn't worry...but I can't help it. Then Matt shook his head, "You bad sister, I told you never to get tattoos. Now I'm going to punish you, #17!"
Ava started running, but Matt caught up to her and started tickling her. Zack sat down next to me and took a bite out of my sandwich, "So that's punishment #17. Angel, you should pack more than just a sandwich for lunch."
