Chapter 2

*Nate's Pov*

"Yeah they're here. They've been here for over a week...I tried calling you soo many times but it's not like you care....Yeah, whatever. I'll see if they want to. Bye." I hung up and rubbed my eyes in frustration.

"Babe what happened?" I heard Y/N's sweet voice from behind me.
"Ugh my dad. This whole week i've been trying to get a hold of him so he can make time to see his kids but i don't think he even cares. I left him just so many voicemails he didn't bother to return my calls. Now he's ordering me to take them to his house and i don't want them to see the conditions he's living in."

"Nate i know Benji and Bella love their dad no matter what. It wouldn't be fair if they didn't see him before they left no matter the conditions. Maybe seeing his family together will change something in him." Y/N said with hope in her voice. I turned around and pulled her gently into my lap.
"I don't think so baby." I sighed and ran my hand softly over her baby bump. "He doesn't even know he's gonna be a grandpa yet."

"Nate we're not gonna forbid your dad from being part of his grandchild's life. He can be there but he needs to change his ways. I know he will. Wanting to see his children thats a step towards improvement."

"I don't know. He's just...a complicated person." Y/N grabbed my face and gently kissed my lips.
"Could you talk to Bella about it. I just know she'll get sensitive and she'll listen to you."
"Of course. I'll take her for some ice cream and baby shopping with me."
"Okay i'll tell Benji about it."
"Alright. Nate don't worry. Everything's gonna be alright okay."
"I love you." I said leaning my forehead on hers.
"I love you too.

*Y/N's Pov*

"Ooh M&M's." I said as we were at the toppings bar at Nuyo. "Everything looks soo good."
"Its the pregnancy cravings haha."
"Mmhm you know what we should take the working boys a box if pizza. Maybe with the breadsticks and the marinara sauce yum. Ooh or some In-N-Out"
"I'm having so much fun with you Y/N it really feels like I finally have a sister." Bella said smiling, aaw she was so sweet.

"Hey Bella, there's something really important i need to tell you...it's about your dad." Her head automatically lowered, this was a touchy subject and i know she didn't even know how to handle it.
"Oh...what is it?" She asked.
"Well he called this morning, he said he wanted to see you and Benji."
"Y/N we've been here for like a week, we're almost leaving and he just called?? Why?"
"I'm sure he had his reasons-"
"What reasons could anyone possibly have to not want to see their kids?!"
"Bella if you don't want to see him you don't have to. Nate doesn't want you guys to stress about it. Your dad messed up and by now he's probably realized it and wanting to see you guys is a step towards a better relationship with him don't you think?." 
"I don't know if i want to see him yet. I'm still mad he just shipped my brothers and i up to Napa."
"Bella its okay you can think about it. And about Napa i'm sure he did it thinking about you guys. He wanted the best for you and he knew he couldn't be the best at the time."

We finished our ice cream and started walking back to the car.

"You know I haven't met your dad either, I'm kind of scared." I admitted.
"Why? You don't need his permission to be with my brother."
"No i know. It's not that he knows me and Nate are in a committed relationship and we live together but...he doesn't know i'm pregnant. I don't know how he'll take the news of being a grandpa or even if he wants to be part of his grandchild's life." I sighed. "I don't even know if Nate wants him to be a part of it."
"Well if he doesn't it's his loss. Y/N don't even stress about it. Relax. And i know this baby is gonna make everything better...for all of us." She smiled. "Alright let's listen to some music."

Bella and I were on our way to Bunnyberry. Bella really wanted to buy and outfit for baby Noah and i wanted to order a crib and maybe get some ideas for decorating the nursery. Nate and Benji were gonna start clearing up the extra room in our apartment and paint it baby blue.

"Y/N when did you know you loved my brother? Like when was that moment that it hit you that you loved him...how did you know it was love?" Bella asked.
I got a little emotional remembering.

"Well...I wasn't always as happy as i seem now. Last year before i met Nate i really couldn't find a meaning at life. I lost my best friend and I didn't have anyone...my parents weren't....well they weren't exactly the best. They never were able to understand me. When I met Nate i was afraid to let him in. I never thought he'd be as important as he is to me. He's my everything. Well, one night i was breaking down really bad and he came over and i felt safe. For the first time i felt like I mattered to someone. The moment we shared our first kiss, i'll never forget it. I felt the happiest i've ever felt."
I smiled remembering that day i took him to the cave i had found in Santa Monica. We go there often to relax and think about stuff every once in a while.

"That's so beautiful...wow my brother is amazing."
"He really is...." I smiled and turned off the car. "Well we're here." I said getting out of the car.
"Oh I'm so excited! Do you have an idea on how you want to do the nursery?"
"Actually i want a wave mural and a blue ocean theme. Nate and I met at the beach so i thought it'd be really nice."
"Aaaw so was he like surfing and he caught your attention." Bella winked.
"Um no actually. It was really embarrassing I wasn't really paying attention and I bumped into him and fell on my butt straight into the water."
"Hahaha that's so cute."
"Thanks." I said as we walked in.

All the baby clothes were so adorable i just wanted my baby in my arms already. I'm really scared for going into labor but i'll have Nate by my side i need to relax and not worry about that for right now.
Bella loved all the little outfits she seemed like a little girl at the candy store wanting to get every single one.

I grabbed a catalog and looked at the furniture. I went to the baby boy section and found the perfect three piece cream colored crib set. I didn't hesitate.
"Bella look at this crib it's perfect and it'll go with the theme of the nursery like as if its sandy aaww." I said excitedly.
"Yes oh my God. And Y/N look at this cute little sailor outfit. I'm getting this for the baby."
"Oh it's perfect. My little sailor in the ocean-blue."
