Chapter 19

~a couple weeks later~

*Nate's Pov*

"Happy one month to you. Happy one month to you. Happy one month dear Noah. Happy one month to you." My family sang.
"Blow the candle Noah." Y/N said. Noah looked at all of us like we were crazy.
"Like this Noah." Bella said trying to teach him how to blow.
"Noah look over here." I said and started blowing. He giggled.
"Look Noah. Just like daddy." Y/N smiled. I took out my phone and snapped a picture of Y/N and Noah smiling, i was beyond filled with joy.

Everyone kept on blowing until Noah was able to blow out the small baby candle my dad found in some store.
"Yay. Good job Noah." Y/N said clapping her hands and Noah smiled copying the motion.

Y/N started cutting the cake and handing everyone a slice.
Noah of course was having gerber instead.
"Y/N do you mind if i hold him?" My father asked a little awkwardly.
"Oh no not at all." She said standing up and gently handing him to my father. I saw a smile form on his face, it was different. It was that smile i haven't seen since my mom...passed.

"Nate?" I heard someone say, cutting me from my thoughts.
"Huh? What? Yeah." I answered to my little brother Benji.
"Can we have the Garner sleepover tonight?" He asked. I didn't want to answer without Y/N's consent so i looked over at her.
"Oh well of course we can." She said handing a piece of cake to Nina.
"No not tonight guys. ,You guys don't even have pajamas or clean clothes here for tomorrow." Kirk said.
"Oh no. We actually do." Bella smiled.
"You do?" I asked.
"See Bella, i told you it was a good idea to pack some." Benji said.
We all couldn't help but smile and laugh, even though my dad didn't seemed too pleased.
"Wait you guys actually packed a sleepover bag?" I asked.
"Yeah. You guys promised we'd have one remember." Benji said.

"Yeah but guys. You can't just show up at a house and say 'hey we're sleeping over'. You need to call in advance i mean what if Y/N wasn't up for kids staying at her house." My father said.
"Oh no. It's totally fine. We did promise them and i mean it's not like we had anything else planned for the night or they're gonna trash the apartment. They're good kids." Y/N smiled.
"Are you sure Y/N? Don't fall in for their little schemes."
"Kirk, it's totally fine. I love having them around."
"Aaww we love you too Y/N." They said and embraced her in a group hug.
"So we can stay right daddy?" Bella said.
"Sure. What the heck."

My siblings squealed.
"We'll be right back." They said and walked out the door.
"I better go with them." My father said and handed Noah over to Nina.

"Hey cuz' can i talk to you?" Devin said and pulled me out to the balcony.
"What's up?" I said.
"Whats up with you bro? Remember our mission? Well obviously you haven't completed it."
"It'll be soon. I promise. You'll be the first to know."

*Y/N's Pov*

"So, Y/N how have you been feeling?" Nina asked.
"I've been good, yeah. A bit tired but now that Noah is eating from a bottle Nate gets up and helps me feed him at night." I said. I heard the balcony door open and Nate came over and rubbed my shoulders, it felt so nice.
"Oh i can't believe he's a month old already. He's getting so big." Nina said.
"Well Garner men do grown up to be big and strong." Nate said.
"Aaaw my baby. I just want to give him everything to be happy. I don't want to mess up with him."
"Y/N we won't. I promise you we won't make the same mistakes your parents did. We'll make sure Noah always feels safe and protected and that he can trust us." Nate said kissing the top of my head.
I stood up and started picking up the plates from the table.
"Oh let me help you with these." Nina said.
"No, no, its fine. You're our guest."
"And what kind of guest would i be leaving all this mess in your house." I smiled at her. She's so sweet, and caring, and gentle. Sometimes i wish my mom could've been more like Nina.

"We're back!" I heard Benji and Bella say.
"Alright where do you guys want to get set up, we have the couch, the guest room, the balcony." Nate said jokingly.
"Damn bro this is a tough one but i think we'll take the guest room." Bella said.
"Well, we better get going. Don't stay up too late alright." Kirk said.
"No promises daddy." Bella smiled.

"Thank you Y/N...you know for letting them stay here." Kirk said handing me Noah."
"Oh it's no problem. I love them both so much."
"You're being an amazing mother to Noah, and you make my son so happy. I'm glad you're part of our family."
"Thank you Kirk." I said giving him a hug goodbye.
"Thank you for having us over." Nina smiled hugging me.
"Oh no. Thank you for coming to Noah's one month party."
"Anything for you and the little prince."
"Well the little prince better be going off to bed soon." Nate said giving him and me a kiss. "I'll walk you guys out."
"Thank you Nate for having us over."
"It's my pleasure." He smiled.
"Bye." Everyone said.

"Alright who's ready for some scary movies?" Nate smirked at his siblings.
"I am!" They jumped in excitement.
"Well Noah is ready for bed. Say goodnight to daddy." I said and Nate leaned over to kiss Noah.
"Y/N can i help you tuck him in?" Bella smiled.
"Of course. Come on." I said walking over to the nursery.

I sat down in the rocking chair and burped Noah.
His tiny little burp was so adorable, it just melted my heart.
"Aaaaww thats sooo cute." Bella smiled.
I set Noah down in his changing chair and got a new diaper and his little blue onesie.
"Baby clothes are so soft." I said putting the new diaper on Noah.
"Oh he's so cute." Bella cooed. "Can i tuck him in?" She asked.
"Sure." I said.
Bella gently picked him up and walked over to set him down in his crib.
I turned on the little music and slowly Noah's eyes started to close.
"Now we just turn on the baby monitor and slowly walk out." I whispered.
I took one last look at my sleeping baby and gently closed his door.

"Alright guys what movie are we watching."
"The conjuring....Boo!" Benji said.
"Gee i just hope you don't pee yourself Benji." Bella said.
"Ha ha very funny."

2:09AM

The second we closed the door to the kids' room Nate intertwined our hands and gently backed me up against the wall.
He started leaving little pecks on my neck causing me to giggle.
"Alright big boy, it's past your bedtime too."
"But i wanna play." He whined and started sucking on my neck.
I bit my lip trying to contain a moan. Nate ran his fingers under my shirt and rubbed little circles around my waist.
"Nate, the kids are sleeping."

For a second he stopped kissing me and leaned up to my ear.
"I love you." He whispered and leaned his forehead on mine.
"I love you too." I whispered back and connected our lips.
