Chapter 32

~one week later~

*Nates Pov*

"Agh!" I groaned pressing on my rib as my dad helped me onto my bed.
"Here, Nate i'm gonna get you some water. It's almost time for your medicine." Y/N said setting Noah down in his carrier and walking out of our room.

Y/N came back and sat next to me she opened the pills placing one in my mouth and brought the glass of water up to me.
"You'll feel better in a bit." She said sweetly and kissed my cheek.
"Y/N are you sure you're gonna be able to handle him. You guys are more than welcome to stay at the house and we'll help you with Nate."
"No dad it's fine." I said. "I feel more comfortable here with Y/N. Benji and Bella have school and I wouldn't want to be a distraction to them."
"Son, you wouldn't be a distraction we-"
"I'll just feel much more relaxed here." I said.
"We'll be okay Kirk. Thank you."
Y/N smiled.
"Alright then. I'll stop by to see you guys tomorrow. I gotta go check on the restaurant. Are you sure you don't need anything Y/N?"
"Um, no. I think we're good. Thank you." Y/N smiled and walked my dad out.

Yeah I would've stayed over with my dad but we would've been so crowded. I didn't want Noah waking up the kids with his crying and i know Y/N would feel much more comfortable with it being only us.

I heard the door lock but Y/N didn't come back. She was probably changing Noah or something.
Maybe I should've taken my dads offer. I wanted to be alone with Y/N so i could enjoy her presence but I didn't think about the fact that now she had to take care of both me and Noah since I wasn't able to help.
I sighed and closed my eyes.

I don't know how long i was asleep for but i opened my eyes once i heard the bedroom door open.
"Hey, sorry I didn't know you were asleep." 
Y/N said holding a tray of food.
"It's alright babe. Don't worry about it."
"Well, i made you some chicken and vegetable soup." My heart melted she was just the sweetest. How did i get so lucky?
She set the tray down on the counter and came over to help my sit up before placing it on my lap.
"It smells delicious. No wonder you took so long." I said looking down at the tray. She brought me the chicken soup, some ritz crackers, a bowl of grapes, a banana Gerber, and some orange juice.
She smiled and sat down next to me.
Y/N grabbed a spoonful of the soup and blew on it before bringing to my mouth.

"I'm sorry, I didn't realize i was gonna put you through this much trouble. I should've taken my dads offer, now you have to take care of both me and Noah by yourself." I said.
"It's no trouble at all. Don't worry i can handle it. You're my boyfriend and Noah's my son who's gonna take better care of you guys then me?" She said bringing another spoonful to me.
"I mean, you could've had some help." I shrugged.
"No. Then I would've felt like i was abusing of your family. They're really busy, the kids with school and your dad with the restaurant. We'll be fine." She reassured.
"I love you." I said. She blushed and fed me some more. A bit of the broth got on my chin and she wiped it off.
"I love you too." She smiled.

"Y/N, about that night." I started.
"Nate-"
"No please listen to me. I didn't cheat on you. Please believe me. I have no idea how Violet got my number but however she did i would never ever ask her or anyone to send me things like that. Y/N i love you and you're the most perfect, beautiful girl in the planet. I would never hurt you like that. Ever."
"Nate i know you didn't ask for those pictures. I know you would never do that and I should've let you explain but i was just too hurt in the moment."
"Thank you...for trusting me."

"Violet confessed." She said handing me another spoonful.
"What?" I asked confused.
"Yeah, a couple days after you went missing Bella and I ran into her. She said she wanted to do you a favor since i just had Noah to ya know...get yourself off." Y/N said, a bit embarrassed.
"Babe, look at me." She looked over and her gorgeous eyes met my blue ones. "I love you. I don't need anything from anyone else cuz you are my world. You and Noah are everything to me."
"Nate you're my everything too." She smiled our gazes never leaving each others.
"And besides no one can do me like you do. I wouldn't even want to dream of being with anyone else besides you." I said.
She smiled.
"Me too." She leaned over and pecked my lips. "I still can't help but feel like this was my fault." She lowered her head. "If i would've just trusted you and listened then you wouldn't of gotten hurt."
"Y/N no one could've predicted this happening. Please don't blame yourself. What's done is done and we'll get through this."
I wanted to kiss her so bad but i was in too much pain to lean in.

I finished eating everything and Y/N left the room again. I heard shuffling around and then Noah started crying.
God i wish i could get off this bed and go help her. I groaned in frustration. The crying stopped. I guess she gave him his bottle.
It was silent i heard footsteps but they didn't come in my direction. I guess she set Noah down in his nursery.
I heard her footsteps again and she came through the door.
"Hey, do you need anything?" She asked coming closer and gently running her fingers across my arm.
"No, i'm good babe. Thanks."
"Alright, i'm gonna be in the living room for a bit."
"Alright." I smiled at her. As much as i wanted her to lay here with me I didn't want to annoy her with my need for attention i knew she was gonna give me a lot lately anyways.

*Y/N's Pov*

I set Noah down on his crib and checked on Nate. I know he would've liked and wanted me to lay with him but i wanted him to get some rest plus i needed to log into my online classes. I'm glad I only have to log in once a week so i had enough time to take care of Noah and Nate and i could still feel a bit accomplished.

I saw my assignment and got out the economics book to read the chapter and do some work.
I wonder what my mom would think of me finally doing what she wanted me to do before i moved out.
I was just a confused teenager, no idea what life had in store for me or which direction to take. I've made so many life experiences with Nate, we've had our ups and downs but everything that happened before Nate and our time together i know its shaping me into the person i'm meant to be.

I yawned. I finished the work i had to do for all three classes and checked on the clock.

10:15pm

I closed my lap top and went back to the bedroom.
I heard Nate breathing heavily, probably cuz he was in pain. I wish i could take it all away. I went over to the bathroom and brushed my teeth. I took off my clothes and got in the shower.

I closed my eyes and let the warm water relax me.
We'll get through this. We're strong and Nate's a strong man i know he'll put all his effort into recovering soon.

I got out and put on one of Nates t-shirts to go to bed in and just towel dried my hair a bit.
I saw Nate was still asleep and was about to go get a glass of water when i heard Nate call me.
"Babe."
"Yeah?"
"Come to bed." He groaned.
"I will right now, i'm just gonna get some water. Do you need anything?"
"No, I'm good babe. Thanks."

I went over to the kitchen and drank a glass of water when my phone vibrated.
It was a random number.
I didn't even bother to open it cuz I don't have time for anyone right now I'm too exhausted.

I went back to our room and laid comfortably in our bed. I leaned over and placed a gentle kiss on Nates forehead.
"Goodnight." I said.
"You missed." He said. I chuckled knowing what he meant and gently leaned down again placing a soft kiss on his lips. "Night baby." He responded.
