I could hear my phone buzzing on my bathroom sink as I stepped out of the shower. The whole room was steamy and it felt really nice... It helped relieve some of the stress I've been feeling lately. I quickly snatched up my phone, glaring at the screen that had fog on it.

Mer! - Alice

Alice - Meredith

Can you come over to my house real fast?! - Alice

I glanced at the time and sighed to myself. I really didn't want to go anywhere, plus I had an English paper to write.

Why? - Meredith

Never mind, I don't think you would like being around her anyway ;p - Alice

This was strange. Alice just doesn't change her mind about something so quickly. She usually tries to change my mind and pesters me so much that I have no choice but to say yes.

My question is; who is her? Who could she possibly be hanging out with other than William and maybe Zac? We didn't have any other friends... We were the unpopular people...

I texted back.

Alice, what's going on? - Meredith

She took a while to text back.

Nothing ;D I'll see you tomorrow at school, okay?? - Alice

I didn't respond back. This wasn't like her. She wouldn't just blow me off when I ask a question. I had a bad feeling it was that new bitch. But why would she want to hang out with us? She's pretty and already popular, what would she want with us?

I'm sure I'm just over exaggerating. Maybe Alice found another friend... Somehow. Why wouldn't I want to be around her? Any friend of Alice's was a friend of mine. Maybe I'll just see who this mystery girl is tomorrow.

I quickly dried my hair with the towel and threw it up in a bun. I put on my favorite pair of Nike sweats and one of Zac's old shirts that he out grew. I pulled out my laptop, and plopped on my bed. I could hear my phone going off again and this time it wasn't Alice.

"Hello?" I answered, slightly annoyed cause I needed to get this paper done.

"Mer! Are you home?"

It was Zac. A smile grew across my face.

"Yes. Are you going to come over?"

"Yeah, I need to talk to you about something important,"

My heart fluttered. I honestly wondered what was so important in Zac's life that he couldn't just tell me over the phone. Maybe he was admitting that he loves me!

Probably not.

I am so friend zoned it's not even funny.

A girl could only dream.

I heard a knock on my door before Zac barged in. He was kinda dressed up. He didn't look dorky. He was wearing the only nice pair of pants he had and a flannel that has been passed down by his dad. He looked even more handsome but something was off.

He came over and sat on the edge of my bed. His brown eyes focused on me, as if I was going to say something horrible to him. I slowly shut my laptop, pushing it aside. I crossed my legs.
