Chapter 15

     The dance show was today. After school i went to the nail salon with Sierra and Sally to get our nails done and eye brows waxed. Sierra's entire family was gonna be there. While we were there i started to tell them what happened between Rayshawn and Jayson.

        Sierra was totally interested in the topic, she loved stuffs like that. "Wow Taeya they were totally fighting over you"! Wow thats great, Ayanna is gonna be so jealous. This is so romantic. Sally smiled at her " sierra you love romance more that you love yourself, damn girl". But hold on Taeya, do you like any of them?  Ok i think i should also tell them about the christmas hug.

"Guys theres also something i forgot to tell y'all". Wait don't tell me you already kissed one of them Sierra said with her eyes wide open. No sierra, why would i?.
  I told them in details what happened on Christmas day and how Jayson hugged me.
"WHAT"!!! They both said at the same time with their eye balls popping out.  "So the beast himself hugggggged you? Sierra said stressing on the "hugged".
I think they both have feelings for you Taeya. Sally said. Sally was so mature with lots of advice.
Yeah i figured out especially after the fight, but i don't know what do to. I never expected it to go this way.
You should be happy guuurrlllll! Sierra said winking at me.

"Do you have feelings for any one of them Shontaeya?" Cos i think that's the first thing you need to figure out.
The truth is i really didn't know. I feel safe with Rayshawn, and he was really funny and with Jayson he was just aggressive and didn't even know how to express himself. But there was a side of him that makes you feel comfortable.

       My dance was about to start in a matter of 5 seconds. I was in the front roll with Sally. I looked towards the audience trying to find my parents. They probably were at the back. I sighted Jayson and our eyes met. He smiled at me but i didn't smile back. And then i saw Rayshawn and he gave me that seductive wink and i smiled. I think Jayson saw that. The dance started and it was popping. The crowd was cheering including Rayshawn but Jayson had his eyes steadily fixed on me. He was staring at me the whole time. It made me nervous.

            After the show i tried to look for my parents. I checked my phone and saw their text saying they couldn't make it. I was almost teary just then Sierra's mom walked up to me and hugged me. "Shonataeya you were great up there, reminds me of when i was a teenager, i use to be a good dancer then, too bad Sierra didn't take after me. Sierra looked at her and shook her head. I was just laughing the entire time. Her mom is funny. I was walking to the dressing room still hurt from the fact that my parents couldn't make it when I saw Jayson walking towards me. Oh lawd not now, i wasn't in the mood for any drama.

         Hey!, i just wanted to say you did a great job up there.
Thanks! I said walking away.
Hey, can i tell you something. Oh gosh wat was it this time. I think it kinda annoyed him more that i didn't give him any attention.
Sure, whats up?
   "I just want to say, you looked extremely beautiful, i really didn't even watch the dance that much. I have never seen anybody look as beautiful as you looked". Uhmm, i really wasn't sure on how to reply him tho. This was kinda strange and awkward. Oh thanks for the compliment. I said walking away, i could notice he was still standing there like he wanted to say something. Oh well!

Later that night, i was just watching tv because it was Friday and that means it's Netflix night. I was in the middle of my movie when my cellphone rang.

Me: Hello!
Caller: hi!
Me: who is speaking please?
Caller: it's me, "Jayson"
What! How da hell did he get my number?
         Jayson: hello, are you still there?, hello? Hello?
          Me: how did you get my number Jayson?
           Jayson: come on just a little hi will be ok. Don't you think so.
           Me: "hi"
           Jayson: better you don't have to be all aggressive and stuff.
Me: ok, but how'd you get my number tho?
Jayson: you normally use this number to order pizza.
So you stole my number, you know you could get fired for that right?.
Only if they know, and you gotta snitch for them to know.
Great! Now he had my number and basically he's gonna be all up on me.

So what do you want Jayson?.

I'm just checking on you. Wyd?
I'm just watching tv.
With the fam or what? I'm sure he just wanted to know if i was alone or not.
Nope, I'm home alone.
Why you home alone by this time, that's not safe.
Tell that to my parents Jayson. So uhm how about you, you still at work or what. I really don't know why i asked him that but...

Yeah i jus closed from work, I'm at the bus stop. Why? You wanna go out?
Did he just ask me out?

"Did you just ask me out?"
Whatever you call it. So you wanna go?
How am i sure you're not gonna beat me up and dump me in the streets.
Come on, I'm not like that anymore, you don't have to remind me of my past frequently.
I really didn't know if it was wise to go out with him.
You know what, I'll call you back, i have an incoming call.
Ok, please do call back!
I hung up the phone and immediately called Sally, she was the best person for this. Sierra would probably just get excited and all.

Sally: hello!
Me: hey sis,
Sally: whats up, you normally don't call this late.
Me: ikr, but i need to talk to you
Sally: ok?
Me: Jayson just called me and..,
Sally: wait what! Did you just say Jayson? Call you? How? Why?
Ok now she was acting like Sierra.
Me: you know i normally order pizza and somehow he got my number and we talked for a while.
Sally: wow!, you guys are really going faster than i expected.
Me: what do you mean, we are barely friends.
Sally: keep telling that to yourself hunny!
Me: so uhm, guess what!
Sally: spill it babe
Me: "i think he asked me out"
Sally: WHAT!!!!
Omg she screamed so loud in my ear.
What did you just say?
I told her in details what happened and ask for her opinion.

"So do you wanna go out with him?" I mean I'm not against it, i just feel that its too late, it's almost 10 pm and it's not safe to go out by this time.

I really don't know if i want to go, but i was thinking of a little stroll. We could stroll in my neighborhood.
I heard Sally laugh on the phone.

Why you laughing? She increased the pitch of the laughter.
You like Jayson don't you?

"What!, NO! I don't like him. Why would i?, I'm just trying to be nice. Thats all. Don't get it twisted.

You know what girl, go for a stroll only cos it's too late to go anywhere else. Have fun lover girl. And she hung up immediately. I really don't like him tho, and it was more annoying cos Sally always ended up being right.

I called Jayson's number that i had just saved.
I thought you were never going to call?
I keep to my word!.
Ok, so are you going?
It's a yes and no thing. It's too late to go somewhere, so we could just stroll.
His voice became louder. Yess! Sure no problem. I'll be at your house soon. Thanks a lot.
