We finished eating in complete silence and i was still waiting for Sally to say something. Ok now i'm tired of waiting.

Sally, you know you can yell at me right?

She looked at me with a blank expression.

What happened back there Taeya, i knew you were going to make a scene.
She said in the calmest voice ever.

I swear i didn't plan it, it was all because of your admirer Jason.

She looked at me confused and frustrated.
Shontaeya i'm serious right now, you know Jayson likes you so what are you talking about?

Yeah also about that, i still didn't know he liked me but i'm talking about Jason without the "Y"

Now she looked completely lost.

I was on my way to meet Jayson when he held me back. At first i thought he was trying to flirt with me, but he asked for your number instead. He asked me not to let you know but you are my person. I said winking at her.

Calm down, it's for your own good, besides he is not a total stranger. He told me he goes to our school, even though i've never encountered him. and he's actually cute, like i fell for him for one minute.

Now she just reminded me about everything that happened today, i don't know if our friendship is going to be awkward, i'm not sure of my feelings either. how could he just throw a bomb just like that, all of a sudden.

Just as she was about to talk we heard the doorbell ring. it was Sierra. yeah! i really needed her energy right now.

Oh, i saw it on twitter. I don't know who put it there but its actually going viral. It was a picture of you with a boy and Jayson staring at you guys angrily.

I feel like Ayanna started it. Sally said looking up from her phone.

The caption of the pic is throwing shade at you, whoever captioned it never meant you well. And who else is capable of such?

I took her phone and looked at the picture. "She flirts with any boy that comes her way, i don't know how my beloved Jayson got trapped under her wings"

Sierra said. So can you guys tell me what happened.

Sally briefed her on everything that happened. And she kept on saying "awww" to everything. You just have to love sierra.

So did you text him or something?
Sierra asked.

No! What am i supposed to say? It's awkward now.

Yes it is, but it's only for now. By the time you figure out your feelings it's gonna get better.

I scoffed at Sierra.

Look you can scoff all you want, but deep down there you know you feel something for Jayson so don't even try to deny.

Guys, i never told you of what happened last night. Jayson told me a lot of things. I'm not telling you guys all of it, but he told me his sister got taken by social services. He has a lot of family issues. And he has to resolve them to get his sister back. I really want to help him.

I really didn't want to tell them everything. They are my best friends and all but Jayson trusted me with this.

My phone vibrated and i looked to see that it was a text from Jayson.

I didn't know what to say so i ignored it.

"Shontaeya, i know you are reading this text, please text me, i can't come over to your house so please text me."

Why can't he come over to my house? I mean not like i want him to but why can't he come?
He has really changed tho, the Jayson i knew was never capable of having feelings, or being nice.
Sally keeps saying i changed him. I don't really know, but he has changed. For good!

Guys i have to head back home now.

Why don't we all sleepover? Sally suggested.

We should do it tomorrow, i have to go to church this evening. Sierra said.

I was lowkey happy she said that because i might have to meet up with Jayson this evening.

Okay then, i'll see you guys tomorrow. Sally said walking us to the door.

As i got home, i decided to call Jayson.

Hey,... I said awkwardly when he picked up the phone.

Shontaeya can we meet up somewhere? We really need to talk.

Why can't you come to my house tho? I asked curiously.

"I.. I don't think it's the right thing to do anymore. " He said with a shaky voice.

And since when did you care about doing the right thing, besides i don't see anything wrong with coming over.

Shontaeya, i have feelings for you now, just incase you didn't hear me earlier, anything can happen if i come to your house.

Jayson i know you won't hurt me or do anything i don't like, so tell me why you actually don't want to come.

Okay fine. I'll meet you at the bus stop in front of your street. I'll be there in 20 minutes.

Ok i'll be there. I was about to hang up when i heard him say "be careful! It's late for you to walk down alone"

Shutup Jayson! I said while laughing.
It was sweet of him to care but awkward.
