Chapter 27 (I Like You)

Jayson's P.O.V**

I just couldn't face her after telling her my secrets. Secrets that I've never told anyone. I don't know why i went to her house that night. I just felt lost. I needed someone. She was the only one that looked at me differently. For some reason she thought i was different. I just had to leave before she woke up. And then it happened. I ran into her mom!

I woke up, stretched for my phone, it was just 6:00am, i wanted to go back to sleep but i remembered i was still in her room. I looked over to her sleeping on the recliner chair. I can't believe she actually gave up her bed for me. I got up, and tucked her in with the blanket. I took my now damp clothes into a bag and left. As i was walking down the stairs i heard the front door open. I thought it was one of the workers, only for me to see a woman in dark blue uniform. Was she a nurse? Probably a doctor? Omg was that her mom? DANG!

I froze on the spot as our eyes met. Shontaeya assured me that her mom was not going to be home.
Can i help you young man? She said with furrowed eyebrows.

Hello ma'am! I'm a friend of Shontaeya. I just stopped by to say hi.

At 6:00am in the morning! Sounds very reasonable. Especially as you are wearing my husbands clothes.

Omg! There goes my first impression. She probably already hates me. She looked like she was about to call security but stopped when i walked closer to her.

I know what you are thinking, and i promise you none of those happened. We are just friends and i was stranded so she helped me. I'm very sorry that you got to know me this way.

I never thought i could be this polite but to be honest, i was scared!

What's your name?
She asked while leaning on the counter with one hand on her waist.
I was really contemplating if to tell her my name but i shrugged it off and told her.

It's Jayson ma'am!

Now listen to me Jayson, i want you to get out of my house, and never contact my daughter. I don't know what kind of relationship you guys have but it will not stand. Do you hear me?

Yes!

And with that i walked out. I mean i kind of get why she was angry but she had no right to tell me not to contact Taeya. She doesn't even know me.

After getting off my pizza job i looked at my phone and saw 8 missed calls from Taeya. I'm sure she was worried about me. I'm not avoiding her because of her mom, i just need some time away from her. Just to figure out certain things. We come from to different worlds and my feelings are not allowed in her world. Wait did i just say feelings! Na, no feelings.

It was extremely busy at America's best wings. That's my second job. I was taking orders when i saw a boy. I mean I didn't pay attention to the boy until i noticed he had a girl pinned to the wall. Wow, they can't even go outside to make out. Horny ass teenagers. I looked away and continued what i was doing until i saw her try to get away and he dragged her back. It wasn't some random girl. It was Shontaeya.
WHAT!

Why was she making out with him? What was she even doing here? At that point i was even thinking anymore. I was boiling. I moved to have a better view of the boy, and he looked hot. Hotter than me. Not just the hot part. He looked more decent and responsible. Was that why she was doing this? I was going to walk away until i saw her with his phone. Was she giving him her number? What the actual FUDGE!  And she looked so happy about it. I didn't realize when I stumped over to them, forgetting that i was at work.

     I couldn't hide how jealous i was. Maybe i actually like her. I don't know.

    I stepped in between then and saw how surprised she was when she looked up to me.

   So you now go about giving your number to boys?  I said fixing my stare at the boy who looked uncomfortable.

    Is he your boyfriend? He asked Taeya. Some part of me wished she would just say yes, but....

    No! He's just my "friend". I'm not even sure about the "friendship" part anymore. I kinda felt hurt when she said that. I looked at her with so much emotion. O didn't notice when the boy walked out.

Shontaeya! I can explain. I looked at her pleadingly.
She interrupted me and started yelling. I couldn't hear what she said because i was just staring at her, part of me wanted to kiss her but i was going to loose my job. I never really knew how deep my feelings were until i saw her with that boy. Despite her mom's warning I can't keep it in anymore.

    I was brought back to the present when she asked "are we even friends"?

   Shontaeya we are not friends. I noticed the look on her face when i said that. Dang, that came out wrong.

    Fine then, we are not friends. She said and started walking out.  At this point i had to just tell her. And BOOM, just like that i released the bomb

    I LIKE YOU SHONTAEYA! We are more than friends. I like you a lot and please don't give up on me.

I didn't regret saying that, although i knew i was going to regret it soon. Her mom was in the picture now. I was a nobody to them. She looked so speechless, i knew the feeling wasn't mutual but at this point i really don't care anymore.

Seeing her with that guy, whoever he was really made my throat burn. I have never felt this way before. I know i don't have a chance with her, and i never knew i really had feelings for her until i saw her with him.

Sally grabbed her out of the restaurant. I turned to see my manager standing above me. Crap! Totally forgot about that.

She looked at me with so much anger and disgust. I have to say something.

I'm very very..... She interrupted me before i could finish.

Shut it Jayson. I warned you about this before i hired you. Do you really expect me let this go?

Uhmm... Yeah, because you are the most kind hearted woman i've ever met. And you know i didn't mean to cause any trouble.

Her eyes flinched a little and i could see her try to suppress a smile that was forming at the corner of her lips.

Bingo! It worked. It always does. Except for Shontaeya. She never falls for it. I'm just going to feel her ears with nice words so i don't get fired.

Jayson you can't just create a scene here, you are spoiling the business and that just makes me look bad in the eyes of the customers. She said, and heaved a sigh after talking.

I'm really sorry ma'am, i'll do better, just because you deserve better.

Back to work boy!

And boom, that is how you save your job. Now i have to look for a way to fix the mess i just created with Shontaeya.
And get my SISTER back!
