Ava's P.O.V

I woke up in a chair. My hands were tied with chains against the armrests.

My head was pounding, it felt like I was hit by a bus.

What the hell happened? The last thing I remember was locking the front door at work.

The room was tiny. I tried to make out the details of the room but it was dark so I couldn't see much. There was a window in the far corner on the other side of the room and facing it was a door. It looked like it was made of steel or something.

Did I forget to mention that it smells like mildew in here? Seems like I'm in a basement if I had to guess... I just have a feeling that I'm underground.

I saw movement in the corner of my eye. I desperately tried to turn my head enough to see what it was but saw nothing.

I could hear voices getting closer to the door, I turned my head so fast toward the door I almost whiplashed.

Okay Ava, calm down. Whatever they ask, don't tell them anything. Be calm and collected. Calm and collected.

The door bursts open and a person walked in. The person pushed something beside the door,  I heard a click and a lamp above my head turned on. I squinted my eyes from the sudden brightness.

I feel like a person in an interrogation room and the person in front of me was the bad cop.

It was a man. He was wearing a suit, a black suit in fact with a blue tie. He didn't appear very friendly.

"Hello, Ava." He spotted.

I remained silent. If they want something from me that's probably the only thing keeping me alive right now. I better choose my words carefully.

I smiled sweetly at him.

"Now we've been observing you. You've been meeting with the demon who goes by the name Crowley." Crowley? Why does that sound so familiar...

Wait, wait a goddamn second. A demon!

"Who?" I told him honestly.

"Don't play dumb with me girl, it'll get you in a lot of trouble. Where is Crowley?" He snarled. Jesus, this guy has his head in the clouds, can't he see that I'm being honest?

"Hey man I don't know who you're talking about, so if you could just let me go, I'll be on my merry way." I looked at him innocently.

His expression changed from scary to angry in 0.2 seconds.

"I'm not in the mood for your games!!" He yelled as his eyes glowed bright blue. I must be hallucinating again.

While I was deep in thought I felt a fist connect with my face pretty hard.

"Pay attention to me when I'm talking to you!" He looked kinda funny when he was mad when I think about it. His face twists into a weird grimace.

I snickered to myself

"You've got a good swing, man. I'll give you that, but you're really boring to listen to." I smirked at him.

This man looks like he was going to explode. A person's pride and temper is always their greatest weakness.

He stood up straight and yelled in s high and mighty voice; "You puny mortal, how dare you speak to me that way. I'm an angel of the lord you will bow down to me."

The room started to shake, his eyes started to glow a strong bright blue color again.

What is happening?!

A shadow appeared on the wall behind him in the shape of huge wings.

I closed my eyes, my only thought being: This can't be real, this can't be real. Angels don't exist nor do demons or any other mythical creatures. Everything uncle Bobby said was a lie. They were just stories to scare me. They were not real... Not real... Not real!

Suddenly I heard a gunshot and a thud. It sounded like a person falling to the ground. I squeezed my eyes close even harder.

"Open your eyes, love." I heard a really familiar voice say. I slowly opened my eyes and there stood none other than, the man in the suit.

The guy who's been following me all day.

How did he get here?

"Love you're safe now. The angel is dead." He said in a raspy voice.

"No, no, no! Angels aren't real. You're all just screwing with me." I said frantically.

It's a lie... it's a lie... I kept chanting in my head. "You've got to trust your eyes. You know exactly what you saw. You just have to believe it." He smiled.

It appeared like he was trying hard to be nice but looked more stressed and annoyed.

"How can I trust you? I don't even know your name!" I yelled at him.

"My name is Crowley, love." Wait, Crowley as in the "demon" the now dead "Angel" was talking about...

"Are you... are you a demon?" I asked nervously looking at my feet.

Please say no, please say no, please say no.

"Yes I am, and if you want proof you've got to look at me, love."

He put his hand under my chin and made me look into his eyes. He blinked and his eyes turned red with red smoke oozing out of them. I should be pissing my pants right now but I felt safe. Like I knew he wouldn't hurt me.

I took a deep breath.

"I... I believe you..." I told him truthfully, stuttering a bit. This is all real, everything uncle Bobby told me was real. All those stories.

That means vampires and werewolves are out there too. This is just too much for me to comprehend right now.

Why am I a part of all this? Why me? There's nothing special about me. I'm as normal as normal can be.

"Love, I'm not only just a demon, but I'm also the king of hell." He said proudly with the classic smirk on his face.

Cocky much... Wait, King?

"I thought Lucifer was the king of hell? He is the all mighty satan after all." I said while air quoting 'all mighty'.

"He's in his cage in the deepest part of hell. God locked him in it many millenniums back. Lucifer created us and tried to make hell on earth which got him sent straight down in the box." He smiled.

So Lucifer is in a cage and this man is the king of hell. I have a feeling there's a lot more coming my way than just this.

"Darling we got to go before any more angels arrive." He said sounding on high alert.

"But where am I supposed to go? I can't go home, they'll find me there." I said.

I feel on the brink of having a panic attack.

"Calm down love. I'm taking you to my castle. It's not in hell, there are a lot fewer torture screams there." He smirking.

"But what about Link and my job?" I questioned him.

"I made some demons possess a few people who will be taking over your business for a while. And about your dog, he's already there."

This guy. I'm telling you, he's going to be the end of me.

"Okay, let's go!" I can't believe what I'm doing. I'm going to a stranger's castle. A freaking castle. Even better he's a demon and the king of hell.

I'm in for a hell of a ride. No pun intended.
