Dean's POV
Sam went to get a few hours of sleep before sunrise. I, on the other hand, couldn't sleep even if I wanted to. I couldn't, no that's not the right, more like I wouldn't get the last words she said to me out of my head.
"Now Dean! Go!" Why did she use those exact words... There had to be something more to it.
My thoughts were interrupted by barking outside the front door. Those barks sounded awfully familiar. I felt chills go through my body.
I got flashbacks from when hellhounds ripped my soul out of my body and dragged me to hell, but somehow these were different. It wasn't banging and pushing at the door. It was scratching and whimpering.
"Sammy!?" I yelled with a bit of hesitation in my voice.
Sam came slowly walking inside the room holding his head. His hair was all over the place
"Don't tell me you sold your soul for something stupid..." I gave him a stern look.
"Dean. What are you talking about?" He said groggily and confused.
I pointed a finger towards my ear signaling for him to listen.
Suddenly he became wide-eyed.
"Shit." He mouthed to me.
We grabbed our guns and walked to the front door, I slowly counted to three, and then we opened the door with a loud bang.
Right in front of us stood a big black, red eyes full-fledged hellhound and we could actually see it. It was a lot more intimidating in person. We have seen them before with the hellhound glassy thingies, but then you only see the shape and the eyes of it. I looked over at Sam and we gave each other a 'what the fuck' look. I studied it closely. There was something on its back caught my attention.
I slapped Sam's arm and pointed at the arm hanging down from its back. I approached it slowly, trying not to anger it. The hellhound watched me with caution. I finally managed to see the person laying on the hellhound's back.
"Ava...? AVA!" I rushed towards it and touched her, but the hellhound bared its teeth at me and growled. '
"Sam! It's got Ava on its back. She doesn't look very good." I yelled concerned. Sam rushed to my side.
"Hi, there buddy. I'm Sam Winchester and this is my brother Dean." I interrupted him.
"What are you doing?!" I whispered.
"Shhh." Sam shushed me.
The hellhound gave us a knowing look when Sam said our names.
"We need to help Ava. She's our friend and if we don't help her she'll die." Sam said calmly.
'The hounds gave us a skeptical look. Then it laid down on all fours and put its head down to show us that we could approach. It actually understood him.
"I can't believe that worked," I mumbled to myself.
