He chuckled.

"I believe I should have seen those questions coming." He smiled to himself.

I looked at him waiting for an answer.

"I don't know if you'd believe me if I told you." He sighed.

"Try me," I said sternly

He looked at me intensely and reached out his hand for me to shake.

"I'm God, but please call me Chuck." What he said didn't really face me.

I slowly reached out my hand and shook his hand firmly.

The second our hands touched I knew what he said was the truth.

"You don't seem surprised..." He looked at me with a hint of confusion.

I was on an emotional rollercoaster, but there was one emotion dominating over all the others. Anger or more like pure rage.

It was weird how my demon side didn't take over since not only were my power sides fractured but my emotions too. It felt like she let me feel it. She let me deal with this on purpose.

I knew exactly what to do. I looked him straight in the eyes and said: "You can go and fuck yourself." I stood up, turned around, and walked away.

When I was only a few feet away from the door I heard footsteps following me. Then I felt a hand on my shoulder stopping me from walking any further.

"I can see that you're angry with me and you probably have a thousand good reasons to be. I need to talk to you, but I've got something really important to do right now. So please meet me at the bunker." He looked at me pleadingly with big puppy eyes.

I sighed, closed my eyes, and massaged my temple.

"Fine." When I looked up again he was gone. No surprise there. He's the master of disappearing after all.

I walked out the door and looked over at my bike. You know what I've been drinking so I shouldn't drive... Hah! I'm just joking. I don't really care, but I felt like getting some fresh air so I decided to walk. I'll go and get it tomorrow.

Dean's POV

"The fog... Sam get inside the station!" I yelled at Sam.

He seemed to hesitate.

"Now!" That made him snap out of it and get him going.

We ran into the station with some of the townsfolks. Sam ordered them to hide in the main office. We, on the other hand, stayed and tried to cover all the cracks in doors and windows with paper, duct tape, and towels.

But we didn't do it well enough. Suddenly I heard a thud behind me.

"Sam!" I turned away from the main office door forgetting that I had to cover it.

Sam started to cough. I could hear the faint sound of a baby crying from the main office. Sam got black markings all over his hands and they were spreading fast. I knew what was happening. It was going to spread to his heart, then to his brain and make him crazy. I can't lose him. I just can't.

"Sam?" I started walking towards him.

"No, no get back. Don't." He said while holding up his hand in a gesture to stop me.

There was hammering on the door from the other people that were infected. They were trying to get in. the door wouldn't hold for long.

The main office door opened. One of the policemen saw Sam and yelled for me to get inside.

"Come on he's infected! Get in here. Leave him." The policeman yelled.

"No, I'm not leaving my brother!" I said sternly back at him.

The policeman gave me a disapproving look and closed the door.

Suddenly a brick came flying through the window and more fog came oozing inside. I tried to cover the main office door with ducktape instead of a towel like I used the last time, while Sam tried to cover the window. Fighting the fog inside him the best he could, I heard him fall to the ground again.

I ran to him. I thought I had covered the door for real this time but boy was I wrong. Sam was laying on the ground coughing.

"Sam... Sam look at me," I yelled at him pleadingly.

"We're not going to make it." He said defeated trying to breathe.

"No, no there's no quitting here," I said and tried to hold him up.

"We're never going to make it." He said again.

"Sam listen to me. It's not you talking it's the fog." I tried to convince him.

"You were going to choose Amara over me." He said horsly with bitterness in his voice.

"Sam. No!" I said sternly.

"Oh sorry. I didn't mean it." He said apologizing. He seemed to struggle with what he was saying really badly.

"Y..you gotta go... Go before I hurt you!" He yelled at me.

"No. I'm not leaving you. Ever." I assured him. Sam was struggling to keep control. It was clear as day on his face. I won't let him go alone. Not this time.

I started taking deep breaths. Breathing in the fog, but it wasn't working. I looked at my hands. Nothing. It must be because of my connection to Amara. I could hear knocking on every door, they were going to get through.

I realized that the fog had gotten into the main office. They were knocking at the door rapidly. shouting for help. I looked up at the ceiling. God.

"Stop this!! You dick!" I yelled out in anger.

Suddenly all the banging stopped. Complete silence. Dead. They are all dead...

"No no no no!" I yelled for myself. I laid my hand on Sam's chin and steered it towards me.

"Hey. Hey look at me I'm right here. It's okay, it's alright. I'm right here. I'm right here." It felt like I was trying to convince myself, more than I was trying to convince Sam that everything was going to be alright.
