The voices around faded and just sounded like buzzing... But there was one thing I could hear... one single thing clear as day.

A whisper...

"It's time... Ava."

Amara's POV

The girl fell down to the floor. She was crying and screaming.

A small laugh escaped my lips.

"Pathetic," I mumbled.

She hurt me badly at our last encounter but looking at her now...

She's weak, worthless.

I dropped my brother and he hit the floor with a loud thud.

He'd passed out.

Castiel came charging at me, with this new power I threw him off with one little move with my hand. He smashed against the wall, knocked out cold.

"Cas!!" I heard Dean scream.

The emotion in his voice made me feel a hint of jealousy.

He ran towards Castiel to see if he was okay. Dean was covering him so that I couldn't attack again. Sam on the other hand just stood there not knowing what to do...

I won. I actually won.

A smile spread across my face.

Take that brother! I won over your puny creations.

All of a sudden an ear-curling scream woke me up from my joy of victory.

I looked over at the girl. The back of her shirt suddenly ripped open. The skin on her back was boiling like hot water. Her skin cracked open, blood flowing down her back. And out came Wings.

Actual wings.

Not like the other angels where they're invisible and only create shadows. They were fully-fledged wings. The color was what shocked me the most.

They were as red as blood...

She stopped moving. Not even her chest was moving, like she wasn't breathing at all.

She slowly stood up. I could feel the power radiating off her and for the first time in a long time I felt a foreign feeling...

Fear. Pure and utter fear.

She turned towards me with a straightened back, her wings spread, her head low, hair covering her face. She looked intimidating and powerful.

"She's complete." I heard a voice say, it was barely a little above a whisper.

It came from behind me... My brother.

"What are you talking about!?" I asked him trying to hide that I was afraid.

"I created her. It took a long time, but she's finally here. I thought it was time for us to go. For a new ruler to come here and take over. We've done enough damage here." He coughed.

"Amara... Meet Ava, protector of heaven, hell, and humanity." My brother said proudly.

I looked over at her only to be met with her eyes... She was standing inches away from my face. Her eyes... They... They were bright gold, and entrancing.

Suddenly she grabbed me by the throat. The hatred and fury in her eyes where clear as day and that was when I knew that my days here were over.

It was all over.

Dean's POV

I watched Ava turn into whatever that thing was. As Chuck said, she was The Protector of everything but I couldn't believe it.

I was in complete shock.

Castiel had woken too. He saw it all. We stood there, frozen.

She had just grabbed Amara by the throat. The fear in Amara's eyes was something I thought I'd never see. Ava opened her mouth and a bright light came out of Amara, her essence, soul, her being.

I don't know what to think. Everything just stopped. It was like slow-motion when Amara fell to the floor, Lifeless and the light flew into Ava.

I could feel a weight get lifted off my shoulders as she hit the floor. Is it finally over?

Ava's pov

I felt a burning sensation in the palm of my left hand. A thick line, black as the abyss slowly marked my skin from the top of my hand, moving to my neck and over my left eye. I could feel Amara's darkness in me. Her power.

I felt unstoppable but it wasn't over yet. I walked over to Chuck and helped him up.

"Hello, my child. You're finally complete," he said and smiled.

He slowly stroked my cheek and suddenly I didn't feel so powerful anymore. I felt human.

I could feel the tears sting in my eyes because I knew what was going to happen next.

"I am so proud of you. I will be with you always." He smiled weakly.

I gave him a sad smile as he placed his hand over my heart. I felt my lip quiver, trying to keep it together as I felt all his pain, all his suffering, all his emotion start flowing into me.

He held out his right hand for me to take. I slowly grabbed it.

"It's alright, my child." He said calmly. I was trying to make it as less painful as possible.

"Goodbye, father... May you rest in eternal peace..." I said and felt a tear roll down my cheek.

I felt his power flow through my right arm into my body.

I never thought I would be emotional about this bastard dying, but I think these emotions weren't entierly my own but also Amara's.

I closed my eyes until the feeling was gone. I opened my eyes only to see his body fall to the floor, dead.

"I'm so sorry, I wish it didn't have to end like this." I felt a burning sensation on the palm of my hand again. A line formed from the palm of my right hand to my neck and over my right eye. A line brighter than any light marked my skin.

I lifted my gaze only to be met with an older man. He was wearing a suit and holding a cain in his left hand. I could hear gasps behind me.

"Death..." Dean said astonished. So that's who he is.

"You can't kill death, Dean. I thought you knew that." He said in a ruff annoyed voice.

"I said I would one day take God as I have taken many others." He said calmly.

"I would have waited until you were gone, but I wanted to meet the new protector of this world." He said giving a respectful bow.

I straightened my back trying to appear strong. My eyes turned hard.

"I assume this is our only meeting until it is my turn to descend, so I shall show my respect," I said and reached out for his hand.

"But don't expect to see me anytime soon." He shook my hand and disappeared alongside chuck and Amara's bodies.

I swear I saw Chuck smiling behind him as he disappeared.
