Chap14~Learning New Things

A/N: First off guys, I want to say sorry. I know it's been a while and I promised an update every weekend. I just got off my Christmas break this week and over break I was celebrating and spending time with my family. I hope you guys had an amazing holiday and big plans for the new year!

•One Hour Ago•
Our new rooms were pretty cool. They were all right next to each other, with adjoining doors, like hotel rooms. There wasn't any windows, but I had already figured out we were underground. The walls were painted white and Milennium said we could paint them if we wanted, just ask for paint. There was a twin bed in each room with dark blue sheets and those thick, really soft blankets of the same color. Each bed was equipped with a wood bed frame and a matching wood dresser with a mirror on the wall next to the bed. Opposing the bed was an average size flatscreen. Adjacent to the TV was a wood desk, matching everything else, with a very nice Dell computer sitting on it. Under our feet was plush carpet in a crimson shade. The closets were small, with sliding doors. He said we could go back to our houses in a couple nights to collect whatever belongings we wanted. We weren't ready to jump into a friendship with this guy, but we needed to stay here for a while so we could be trained to use our powers. When we were done exploring our rooms, Milennium told us it was lunch time and everyone was gathered in the common room.
•Present Time•
We stood in the commons, which was basically your standard school lunch room, but with a huge TV on one wall. We were in front of us and Milennium was introducing us.
"Everyone, these are the new recruits. Cameron Reeves, a hybrid. Lilian Skies, a witch. Finally, Wren Wilde, a speedster."
Everyone began clapping. When I say everyone, I'm talking about the maybe 20 people in the room. We looked around, wondering where to sit after all the introducing was over. The three of us had just started walking toward an empty table when two girls jumped up and ran over to us.
" Hey come sit with us!" One of them chirped.
"Yeah. We can tell you all about it here."
We shared a look with each other and I nodded. "Ok. Oh and what are we eating? I'm starved." Lily and Wren nodded in agreement.
"Today we're having spaghetti with garlic bread."
"Sounds good to me," Wren said enthusiastically. We hadn't eaten since the night before he had taken us. We sat at the table with the two girls and a girl a little older then us brought three trays piled with spaghetti. We immediately began to wolf it down as the girls introduced themselves.
"I'm Sarah," said the one with blonde hair and blue eyes. The other girl had brown hair and blue eyes. She introduced herself as Anna. "But you can call me Ann. And you can call her Liz, it's her middle name." Amy added, " I can manipulate the elements and Liz is a siren."
Wren had finished first and began introducing us. " I'm Wren. I'm a speedster. This is Cameron, a hybrid and my girlfriend. And this is Lily, her best friend. She's a witch."
Wren always worked it into the conversation that I was his girlfriend and he always introduced Lily as my best friend even though they act like siblings.
"That's cool. So we stick to a certain schedule here and you should learn it ASAP," Liz began, "We get up and have breakfast from 9:00 to 10:00 am. Then we begin training until lunch which is noon to one. After lunch we train for another hour or two and then we have the rest of the day to ourselves."
"Until lights out, of course, which is 9:00 pm," Ann said.
A bell sounded, like at school.
"I'm guessing that means lunch is over?"
"Yep. You're about to get your first training." Ann said.
"Follow me." Liz instructed us and led us out.
