Chap11~My "New Life"

Millennium came around and unlocked our cells. He didn't cuff us or anything, so I'm sure that there was no way out. Wren was pushing me in my wheelchair. He led us to a room in the next hall. It was decorated just like a classroom. For kindergarteners. He instructed us to sit down at the desks. Ren wheeled me to a desk in the back, putting me next to it and sitting in it himself. Lily sat next to him. He reached over and laced our fingers together, just like we would in class, except it was over the desk not under. Millenium spotted it and snapped at us to separate and then wheeled me to the front. We cried out in raged protest.
"Shut up! Lilian, move into the middle row," he roared. "Now that that's settled, we can get started. I've been surveying you three for a while now because I had to be sure about you. I decided I was right last week after the foot race you had at the school, you know, where the whole school had to participate. I saw Lilian's outburst of emotion and the sudden wind it whipped up, Wren's speed, and Cameron's agility. When I officially made up my mind, I began my planning on how to get you here. I thought a kidnapping would be best. Any questions?"
"Yeah. I've got one. Why did you torture me," I demanded.
" I had to know if you knew about yourself, what you are. Which you obviously don't or you'd know who I am. Anything else?"
We all stayed silent. He started up his speech again.
"So, today I'm going to introduce you to the real world, the one hidden from normals, one very arcane. All the monsters and stories are real. The supernatural, paranormal, whatever you want to call it. Take a moment to soak that in."
I took a moment to think about that. It'd be pretty cool if what he was saying was true. I'm pretty sure he's crazy though. I mean really, if we had powers and stuff we would know. Wouldn't we?
"You're all wondering the same thing. Why wouldn't you know you had powers. Well it's quite simple really. Your parents knew and didn't want that life for you, or maybe it was their parents, or their parents parents. You see, when a supernatural baby is born, their powers have to be unlocked by wizard, some people call them warlocks. Then the parents get help from a supernatural of the same species of the child. A mother and father could be a witch and wizard and the baby could be born as a shifter, so sometimes they need help training the children to master their powers. Then, when old enough the children can go fight in the war between humans and supernatural. Or sometimes they get called upon for their expertise. Like your parents ,Cameron and Lilian. "
He stopped for a minute to let it sink in again.
"So your saying our parents aren't really on a cruise? And if all this is true, what are we? What supernatural breed are we?"
"Well my dear Cameron, you'll find out soon enough. I'll be unlocking the three of you tomorrow."
