Everything after that guy came in happened so fast. But at the same time, I could count every second. First we were rushed out of the room. The "building" shook. We ran down the corridor and found the bedroom wing. The floor rattled, foundation sprinkling from the ceiling. Next, Katie was falling behind. She was strong, but there was just too much happening for her right now. Thinking hard, I changed into a large wolf and motioned for her to climb on my back. A horse would have been the more logical choice but we were in a small hallway. We began shaking again, more this time. Foundation still spilled from above, some sprinkling on my muzzle. We finally made it to the door at the end of the hall. It was locked. Ms. Callaghan knocked and they let us in. I gazed around in awe. It was like a large house in here. There was a kitchen, bathrooms, a dining room, and beds everywhere. The best part, it was carpeted. I decided it would be best to stay in this form, in case we ended up having to fight. I padded over to the end of a bed and flopped down, waiting to see Lily and Wren come in.

I had been waiting for an hour now and still didn't see them. Maybe they were already in here. I picked my head up off my paws and glanced around the room, taking in a deep breath through my nose. I caught quite an intriguing scent, like pine and vanilla. It had to be Wren. I stood to follow it, walking about the room for a good five minutes before I found him. I was overjoyed that he was OK. I leaped up, putting my front paws on his shoulders. I ended up knocking him down, licking his dusty face. Suddenly, the room shook even worse than the rest, people were knocked to the floor and dishes were rattled right off tables. When the shaking stopped, Wren began pushing me off him, probably confused as to who I was. I looked up at him, and he met my eyes.
"Cammie?" A look of recognition crossed his face. I yipped, licking his fingertips. There was a collective groan around the room as everyone began picking themselves up off the floor. They began cleaning up the glass and various food and drinks that were now splattered into the carpet. Millennium suddenly appeared and called everyone to attention.
"Everyone, the humans are attacking. Everyone here has been at least slightly trained in battle. For now though, just stay here and stay seated. That last quake will not be the end of it, and it was not the worst. The humans have discovered our home and are intent on destroying us today. The most experienced witches and warlocks plus the most trained warriors are fighting for all of our lives, myself included. Let's show them that we won't go down easy!"
Everybody cheered when he was done. For a man with warped ways of getting what he wants, he was actually a good leader. That speech was honestly inspiring. Now back to the matter at hand, I needed to ask Wren where Lily was, so I decided to just change back for a quick second to talk to him. He jumped back slightly when I suddenly became a human girl again.
"Wow. That was really cool." He lovably would have gone on but I was kind of in a hurry. Now that I had experienced what it felt like to be an animal, to feel like I had complete strength and stronger senses, I was in a rush to get back. I wanted to be able to help protect these people. Even though I didn't know ninety eight percent of them, we were all the same. They were like the distant relatives I never knew I had. Just as I opened my mouth to ask the most important question on my mind, the door burst open and Lily whipped into the room.
"They're in!"
